    Default Florida money

I've been thinking about moving to Florida and would want to dance there. Can anyone tell me what the [glow=red,2,300]money[/glow]'s like there right now and through the different seasons? I saw some threads on here but they didn't seem very recent. If someone can tell me what kind of [glow=red,2,300]money [/glow]to expect there I would really appreciate it.

How much money there is to be made is definitely variable and dependent on what city you're planning on moving to within Florida. Also, if you're looking at south Florida, many girls have said that it can be pretty hard for a clean dancer to make good money down there and it's only getting harder as time goes on. Just wanted to give you a heads up on that. Let us know what area(s) you're considering and I'm sure someone here will be able to give you some great info. It seems there's a lot of us on here that have experience or info on one area or another of the state.

I am thinking of moving to the Tampa area after I graduate it May. The clubs I have been recommended to are Thee Dollhouse (pastie/gown club) and Mons Venus (all nude). Not sure about the money yet... I made a post about this in the general forum, maybe that will help...

yelle ,those are good suggestions. the only clubs i would consider in tampa. keep in mind however that in central and south fl the summer is VERY SLOW. so if you come to tampa in may dont look to make good money till sept or so.

I have danced south Fl and central. Money was good for me all year long. South much more so. Now i am out of clubs and only do privates, but i had no complaints about the money earned in Fl. Lots of hustle and working the same hours helps build up a good clientel.

South Fl. is crazy, but money is always flying around there, at the "faster" clubs, guys get drunk and just give it up, but for more action. One word of caution, ALOT of dancers talked of getting regular STD checkups. Hmmm, not surprising, i seen it, and worked around some of it.

Daytona Beach SUCKS. The weather is great, the beach is cool (though there are better), and you can actually have fun there, if you don't stay too long--like maybe four days, lol. It is a paradise for white trash from all over the country. There are several SW members who I have gotten to join, one I have met there, and two who have visited, most of whom will agree with me, and some who won't. None of THEM are white trash--I have a great deal of respect for all of them--but I feel very strongly about this. I will risk pissing off my friends who like it there to warn any of you considering the place.

The only club there worth a damn is Lollipops, and they hire way, way too many girls. It is very big inside and there is great energy there, but they typically have three or four girls onstage at once on weekends. While some girls there still make good money, a lot of my friends who used to love working there have left because there are just too many girls. There has also been a lot of extras activity going on there in the past, though I have no direct knowledge of how bad it is now. We all know that it is quite possible to make money without compromising your standards, and I have many friends there who don't. But we all know as well how it can make for more hassle and pressure from customers.

Molly Brown's can be cool to hang out in, but while I still enjoy this sometimes, and am technically still on the payroll (unless they read this or you tell), the owner is an idiot who has no idea what the hell he is doing. He did at least finally fire the drug-addled imbecile who was the downstairs manager, so it might be a bit better to work there now--I wouldn't know as I have been out of town and unavailable since the moron got canned.

The Shark can be pretty cool, but if you don't like bikers, forget it. You will also be forced to work with some extremely unattractive women, as they hire literally ANY woman who walks in the door. I have worked with some beautiful and talented dancers there, a few of whom have joined SW, but I have also been forced to put some of the most repulsive women imaginable onstage.

Well, enough negativity, I could tell you a lot more about the other clubs there, and how terrible a place it is to live, but there are more pleasant things to talk about.

You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star.

I can say this. My girlfriend is working at Cheetas and she is making like 300 a night and she is totally clean (no-extras). If that is good money for you great, she is used to making way more in NY.

I guess it depends why you want to move to florida. We knew she was going to be making less money but now we are renting a huge beautiful house in a great community, 10 minutes from the beach, and the warm weather is sooo good.

So, she was making MORE in ny, but we lived in a small condo, the weather sucked and we were miserable.

I guess if you want to "make money" florida wouldn't be the top place on the list, but if you want to live in a beautiful climate and be happy, tan, and a "beachbum" florida is the place for that.

The biggest difference in Florida is the amount of dancers working. It's just like Arizona and Texas in most clubs, no schedules and up to twice as many dancers as the clubs need in a given night. New York has a high density population and a controlled amouint of dancers.

But the cost of housing is cheaper, gasoline and groceries too, so if one can earn $1200 or more per week unless they have a lot of debt, they can like ok in Florida.

DJoser, I agree with what you said about the white trash vacation spot . You are right on the money! Coming from Santa Barbara California I was really surprised to see all the crack heads running Daytona. I guess I thought it would classy and fun but it is pretty white trash!! :o But Molly Browns has gotten much better. I work upstairs and they've even gotten rid of a few people. BUT they have the WORST DJ upstairs!!!ERRR I hate him...

Ryan hun your gf came from a clean NY club to a place where alot more goes, i am happy she makes that much! She must be a very good dancer!

She will build up a client base and start making more. It takes time. Plus she works with dancers who give more than a ld.

    Lotsa luck to her, enjoy!

You could also try Cheetah in Sarasota. There are quite a few wealthy people who live in that area of the state.
Cheetah Sarasota is presently owned and run by the same crew who runs Dollhouse in Tampa, before that it was part of the same company that owns the Atlanta Cheetah ( one the very best clubs in the US imho)
The Sarasota club is nude, no contact with alcohol. My guess at earnings in Sarasota these days are probably between 200-500 average.

Missmolly - I have been a regular at a quiet club in West Palm Beach called Club Diamonds. My ATF left at the end of Decemeber. She was averaging about $300 a day on the day shift. Nights are more lucrative but wilder. She liked it at Diamonds because she had developed about a dozen regulars and she maintained her standards. The higher paying clubs will usually include lots of girls willing to do anything for a buck. Club Peek a Boo, Cheetah, The Landing Strip, Tootsies. So I would say you can make a decent buck and stay pretty conservative or go for the big bucks and sell whatever you want to.

I've just started back dancing. I live in the fort lauderdale/miami area. So far I've averaged around $300 without doing any "extras". I've noticed other girls making a lot more, but they're doing a lot more too.

I wouldn't suggest Florida to any one. I have lived in Florida for 15 years, but most of my dancing has been done in North and South Dakota where they pay dancers $400 a week, plus tips. In Florida and many southern states have gone the way of wild west saloons, lots of extras. Clubs have become pimps and really milk the money out of dancers. $30 or more bar fee, 10-20% to dj, $5 to bouncers-each. $10-$20 to house mom, ect. When a club charges $150 for the private lap dance room, the bar gets $50 of it. When they have 30-200 dancers a shift, often there are more dancers then men in the bar. It has become a bad bussiness and is headed for a fall.

Lost Niki thank for the info. But i am not sure what clubs in Fl. you are talking about. I worked south Fl. and up the east coast. I have not had to pay out huge house fees, ever. I had my own shifts, but at times could show up at any time. If the clubs had many dancers, they would not allow you to work if it was not your set shift.

I understand some clubs let dancers come and go as they please, but not the ones i worked, we had our shifts. (exceptions at times.)

Even in Miami, clubs never had 200 dancers on one shft!!

As for fees, and tip outs. You really have to be a good hustler to make money here. Other wise you will walk out with no money.

I made damn good money in Fl. Your talking $400 a week in Dakota for dancing, i made 3 times that much in a night in Florida!!!

It's about being a good hustler! Nothing more. The "extras" dancers, well they are just going to be there, not just clubs i danced in either.

South Fl. is not going to fall, it is growing more! As is the coast i live, the clubs are around and doing fine.

We just had a new club open Goddess. Slow, but growing.

with the exception of the house mom i pay close to that. i dont think that is a very high tip out. my club is extra free and i am in fla. the money has been fairly steady for me for the last three years. i do agree that you have to hustle, but the money is here if you are in the right place.

And thats the key! Ty Velvet. We have to match our jobs as close as we can with what we are comfortable. If we don't like a club, get out. Why work a club that sucks for you? maybe the clubs you hit, just did not match up to you. I know i make it sound easy to "get out" but i could not work a job i hated.

VELVET...When are you coming to my neck of the woods girl? So we can meet up and say Hi!!!

I would like to update that my girlfriend has been working at Cheetas III in Pompano and making 2k per week working 4 nights AND staying clean and doing no extras. So, there is money in Florida (and beautiful weather) you just have to know how to hustle. She has a great personality and is a great "saleswoman" She has had several repeat customers and she says a lot of girls are dirty, but not all guys look for that. Some guys DO NOT want to talk/dance with a prostitite, they want the "good girl". Anyway, there are places in the country that you can make better money than FL, but there are few places that you will go that can compare to our weather. I mean it's Jan. and it's 80 every day. Besides, we went from living in a little condo in NY, to a 4 bedroom huge, beautiful house with a nice yard in FL. There is no comparison, i NEVER want to go back to NY. You may not make 4K in Florida, but you really don't need that much to live a great life here, and going to the beach in Jan. is priceless. Whoever said "money isn't everything" was right!

Also Ryan, thats great news. Give it time, she will make more! As she becomes populour with her regulars it gets better.

Some do great in NY, others do great in Fl.

I am not too familiar with her club though.

    Lotsa luck to her. $$$$$$$$$
