Does anyone know anything about the average night's tips for Portland Or?
Does anyone know anything about the average night's tips for Portland Or?

Clubs In Oregon...Portland has per capita more strip clubs than any other state in the US. Some are crap but other are more gentlemens clubs. Acroplis in portland oregon is probably the highest traveled club in town. Dolphin is another nice club but alot of girls there on any given night, hustle is a must at the dolphin. Acropalis has the girls on set for 20 min, the 20 off..so roughly 4 songs on. Club 205 is another, alot of porn stars come there when on tour..and Stars is another nice club. Portland is also called pornland, due to the amount of sc in this town. I would say average at the clubs listed above is 250-500 a night. On weekends it may be more.
are all of those over 21 and if so, know any good ones that are 18 and over?

If you mean like a juice bar..thier is a few. One is called Jiggels and ones called Docs I belive. I will check for more for you.

If you look at the TUSCL web site it says that many of the Portlaqnd clubs are massage parlors or extra
joints not really strip club bars.
Presuming you want to work in a strip club, about half of all listed "clubs" in the Portland area aren't clubs.
That should hellp you narrow it down.

As stated above, there are quite a few JS around town. here is a list of just some of the clubs although. None of these are JS.

wow Gldn thanks so much!!! I really appreciate it.

No problem..if you need to know anything else about our great town..let me know.

The list above is 46 strip clubs. Just curious how is it possible to have 46 strip clubs in a city the size of Portland? Would seem a strip club on every corner.
How can anyone make money?
I mean all of Atlanta area has maybe 19 and all of Chicago Metro maybe 15 total.

anyone have anything to say about Cleopatras Viewpoint in Portland? Club, managment etc....

Nice guy...thats only half the list. Like I said there are more stipclubs in portland than any other state..in the U.S. Some of these clubs only have one stage..some have 5. Some have 40girls working some have 3.. This town in very into night life..if your not at a regular bar, your at a strip club. We also get alot of Portland Traiblazers, bands etc coming to town..Theres plenty of money at most of the clubs, but there are a few that dominate the portland strip club scene. I will try to provide a list of all clubs in portland..

This is are local monthly stripper publication. check it out...www.xmag.com
There is no real "average" tips in Oregon. I have had great nights working at Star's Caberet in Bend and Salem and crappy nights dancing at just about every club in Eugene/Springfield. All of the clubs are nude and most serve alcohol. A dancer must be over 21 to dance at an alcohol serveing club. There are a few juice bars in Portland, and Salem, but most clubs have full bars.
This time of year you may have great earniong potential in either Bend of Medford, Oregon due to the large amount of winter sports tourism that these cities get.
Lingerie Modeling studios provide a lot of contact and extras, and some are full service, so if you are comfortable with this form of work you may find the money to be a lot better then in the clubs themselves.
I grew up in Portland and am not comfortable working there. I now live in the Eugene area, but drive to Salem to work because the clubs here are patheticly slow. The clubs in Eugene stay in business due to "drink specials" like $10 all you can drink beer. And in a college town, that is a great deal for poor college students, bad deal for dancers and cocktail waitresses.

Hello everyone.
I am new here at this site but i already think that it is wonderful.
I currently live and dance in portland. i have been dancing about a year and a half and have danced all around portland.. such clubs as Docs, cocktails, Jodies, acropolis, and dream on. i have also danced in alaska at reflections in fairbanks and the bush company in anchorage.
I have danced the most at doc's... which at the moment is closed down for "remodeling" which is a coverup becuase they failed health code, the owners are laudering money, evading taxes, and can't pay their rent. besides all this it is a fun club to work at. it is one of the only clubs that isn't infested with parasites. and what i mean by that is there arn't alot of people that are on the payroll that you have to give your hard earned money to. There are no fees and the only tips are 10% of what you make to the DJ and 5% to the bouncer. Most of the other clubs i have worked at i had to at least tip and pay about about 60$. in alaska it was at least double that.
All the girls that work at doc's are great. I admit that it is not a big money club but the friendship between girls makes up for it. its the only club where the girls work TOGETHER to make money. nobody is seen as competition and there is hardly any caty-ness.
i am in the process of finding a club to work at for awhile until Doc's hopefully gets bought out and we have new owners. i really hope so. Another thing, Doc's has the best booker i have ever worked for. He is ALWAYS on the side of the girls and not the club. i have worked for about 9+ bookers in a year and a half. most don't last a whole week. but the booker we have now has been working for about 3 months and he is so cool. he is dating one of the dancers so maybe that has something to do with it.
i am also one of those poor college students that dance there way through college, but it is hard. Late nights working and you have to be careful to not get caught up in the lifestyle too much.
Anyways, i hate long posts so i am stopping now. i will be back
Woo-Hoo! More Oregon girls!!!
I have been visiting dancer forums since 1998 and have just recently seen some Oregonians on line. Aren't we supposed to be more "on-line" than the rest of the country?
Anyway, I know there is a lot of us out there, so keep posting and letting the world know that the nudie biz is alive and well here in the wet and wild west.

I'm also a dancer here in Portland, and have been for four years. I work mainly at Sassys, sometimes at the Magic Gardens, and occasionally at Club 205. With all the dancers in Oregon, I too am surprised that I havent seen tons of us on SW.

how is sassy's, magic gardens, and 205
i am in the process of looking for a new club. me and 4 girls are actually going out tonight to scope some clubs. My BF also DJ's and from what the other girls say he is the best ( i think so too, but i'm biased). I don't like to work at clubs where you have to pay alot to work there.. i don't think its right. Anyways, if you can let me know that would be great.
YEAH!!! Dancers from Portland!!!
Whew...everytime I ask a question about Portland the forum goes dead....
I am leaving Thurs from Baltimore to sublet a friends house for a bit and I need to work while I am there...
A gf who lived in Portland a few years back recommended a few places and I visited a couple spots the last time I was out there...I was wondering if you guys could give me some more info?
She told me to go Sassys (that was #1 on her list for places I would most fit in and be happiest at) but she said it was impossible to get in there...?....Wildcats, Magic Garden (love that place) Docs...is it staying closed?
I am heavily tattooed with beautiful work other than that I look normal...I would prefer to work in a "neighborhood" bar NOT a fancy upscale club...not my style...not that they would have me anywho...sounds funny to say but I would prefer a bar with smaller stages and less emphasis on crazy pole trickin'....Any suggestions?
Thanks so much....

Wildcats! Wildcats! Wildcats! Well, at least that's where I'm headed next time I'm in PDX. I have a friend who was cocktailing there forever and loved the place! There's a family vibe, girls are chill, and unless the staff has entirely turned over in 6 months (tis possible) the management and bar staff are kick ass.
The club is pretty mellow, maybe a little more on the "rowdier" side than the "stuck up" side. Simply put, they have popsicle suck off races. Need I say more?

SYREN:
Club 205 is probably one of the top five clubs in Portland as far as earning potential goes. It's a stage club, so youre on stage for three songs, then off for three....all night long. It can get very tiring, but the club stays packed, especially in the late evenings. I havent worked there in about six months, so I'm sure things havent changed too much.
OK I am totally confused!!! :o
Can someone explain how this agency thing works?
I am used to just going to the club and auditioning...simple as that....
How do you contact the agencies?
Is it going to take me forever to work?

I am curious what Parislove said about Lingerie modeling studios in Oregon. I haven't been to any of the clubs in town.
I don't know anyone & would love a friend!!

Welcome Fern...you're aware that "lingerie modeling" places are nicknamed "jack shacks", right? A lot of them are thinly veiled brothels. Just wanted to let you know that in case you weren't aware that many of them have a bad rep.
"She has written so well, and marvellously well, that I was completely ashamed of myself as a writer...But this girl, who is to my knowledge very unpleasant and we might even say a high-grade bitch, can write rings around all of us who consider ourselves as writers"

Regarding the Agencies... check out http://www.xmag.com or look for Exotic Magazine when you are in Portland. I don't know, but I'm guessing the agencies find dancers and the clubs pay them for their "services." I don't know all the details, but am told there's an agency called "Big Dog Entertainment" that books for Sassy's and Club 205 and others. Me, I have issues with the middle man thing. I went to some agencies when I was looking for tech (not dance) jobs and I decided for that, it was a rip off. All I can say is if they put a contract in front of you, make sure you read and understand all details before you sign.
Regarding lingerie places, I checked one out. The girls were really nice, but there wasn't a speck of lingerie for sale! I guess that's the norm. They told me their boss gets $40 a show and they get at least a $20 tip. Sounds like a bit of a ripoff... unless you are a student and can sit there and use your down time studying. It's not like you have to shake it for a few dollars like at a club. But though there are cameras, the girls there would work alone or in pairs, and that level of isolation is scary to me.
I called another lingerie shop to ask what they charge, and what the house takes, and the girl told me "it depends on the girl." I said, "what the house takes depends on the girl?" And she got mad that I was asking her to clarify, freaked out, and hung up on me.
In the end, I decided to audition at a club where I at least know what is going on, where I have security and someone to walk me to my car.
