Default THE FALL OF THE ADMIRAL

I can't believe how the Admiral has gone down so fast.
It used to have features every week !
The Admiral has lost alot of it's top girls. The clientale sucks now too.
The club is now full of 18 year olds
This stems from poor management and the rise in house fees.

I looked at them via SCL and then visited their website
I was surprised to see that only 3 girls took promo pics
    You left just in time
Hope you find a great club to work in
    Take Care,

I would sooner think that this change is indirectly due to the "deep pockets" of SCORES, who opened a new club to compete with the Admiral and VIP(CH2) for Chicago's upscale club customers. SCORES can afford to continue operating their new club at a loss subsidized by New York profits, while the Admiral takes a direct hit.

As I have tried to explain before, when earnings potential in any upscale club begins to slip below the point where the 'best of the best' dancers move on in search of "greener pastures", that club no longer remains upscale. Cutting out feature bookings at the same time (undoubtedly to save money in the short term) just accelerates the process of driving the best girls out and driving upscale customers to other clubs as well.

Of course the vacuum they leave will be filled with new dancers, but they will probably be young and dumb or less than the 'best of the best'. Also, the formerly upscale clientele will also be replaced with a different sort of customer - probably expecting extras.

Actually ,it has nothing to do with scores, its no competition to vips or admiral because its not in the city ,around an hour and a half away, and its in a bad neighborhood, the admiral went down hill when all the girls left, way before scores oppened.

I guess we can have a debate about Scores Chicago.
It's in the wrong place. (A declining suburb on the edge of I294 not right.)
Needs to be Downtown or in an upscale suburb or near one.
Place has had four name changes and business in it in the last ten years. Not a good sign.
Physical Plant. Anyone expecting the NY Scores facility is going to be disappointed in the Chicago place. Anyone used to what Chicago has got might be impressed.
Business model is not taking account of changing Midwest strip club desires and customer wants, and con tinues to use a somewhat heavy handed NYC or old Chicago approach to customers. (This I agree is subjective)

Final: Nothing to do with Scores. Business in Chicago clubs is way down anyway. alot of better choices in other cities or within range of Chicago via car. (Also subjective.)
This later point may be a permanent change for Chicago clubs.
Biggest bottom line: Guys from Chicago do get to Vegas and have seen other cities offerings.

Niceguy, I'll agree with you totally that there is also an issue of the changing "expectations" of Chicago club customers. Undoubtedly many of them have had exposure to Vegas, but I've also seen them get similar exposure at clubs in northern Indiana and southern Michigan (requiring about an hour's or 90 minutes drive time from Chicago).

In past years, a big chunk of Chicago club business also stemmed from Chicago's convention business - however like everywhere else the convention business is WAY off and has affected all "upscale" clubs. Actually this has probably affected the Admiral more than any other club since it is physically closest to downtown Chicago where the conventions take place.

However, I'll still stand by my point that the "upscale" Chicago clubs, which now includes VIP and Scores, draw on the same pool of "upscale" customers. If a new "upscale" club opens (as Scores did) it's bound to draw some customers away from other upscale clubs, at least temporarily. If this results in one of the upscale clubs falling below "critical mass" in dancer earnings potential, such that the "best of the best" dancers in that club pull up stakes in search of better income potential in another upscale club, then that club can no longer be considered "upscale" since it no longer has the "upscale goods" to offer customers. The opening of a new upscale club may not be the only factor in the demise of the Admiral, but it is certainly a contributing factor.

I'd agree except that Scores isn't adding a new club
to the Chicago market, and there by reducing market share per each club.

Scores was Dreamers just six months ago. Prior to
Dreamers it was something else. Prior to Something else it was another name. I lose track of it through time
    at about ten years ago.

A club has been continously in operation at that location for at least ten years. So Chicago Scores
is not "new" to the market. It is just another name for an existing SC that was also supposedly "upscale."

Iam sorry ,but Iam from chicago and have danced there since 1994,the clubs in the subarbs have never been competition to the city clubs, admiral and vip,the majority of people that frequent those to establishments are conventioneirs, they just dont venture out an hour away when they are in town ,I have worked in the subarbs and the city, the subarbs are all regulars and the cities are 80%conventioniers,also scores has been there 10 years, just under other names.

OK I'm wrong. However, I'll still continue to collect $$$ from those non-existant Chicago guys who come into northwest Indiana and southern Michigan clubs while I'm working there !

No. You're right. The Chicago guys are going elsewhere usually by car say in a 150 mile range
of Chicago area not just Chicago. Chicago area itself is so big the where you live dictates the direction.

Noth and west suburbs are going to go to central Illinois or central Wisconsin. Maybe Iowa.
The road system runs that way and you don't have to go through the traffic stranglehold of 80-94 or I 65. Also have always been very cheap flights from Chicago to Vegas to get Chicago people to go there. Some of the cheapist flight costs in the country to Vegas.

South and south west are going to do IN. or Michigan, again because they don't want to have the two hour trip and possible two hour traffic jam going north.

Are you sure that you are talking about the same club? Scores is not an Hour and a half away. It's by O'Hare (North and Mannheim)!!! It would take 20 minutes (unless you get stuck in the Chicago traffic...THEN it might take 1 1/2 hours).

But, Admiral started going downhill earlier this year (around March??)...I don't think that it had anything to do with Scores, though...I think it was just one of those changes...

Well, a lot of the "suburb" clubs offer free limo service for the "conventioners"...a lot of conventioners don't go to VIPs or Admirals (or Scores) all the time...they hop around...and, if they hear about a good SC in the suburbs, they'll go. They may not drive to OshKosh Wisconsin, but they would not hesitate to go to Diamonds in West Chicago!!
