anyone from austin tx and know any good clubs to work for/hiring/etc there?

I'm from Austin and so are several other dancers here. I have some info on the clubs here on my website and if you have any particular questions, feel free to ask.
Hi Raven,
I live in Austin. I am going to work at the Penthouse soon with a friend of mine. Apparently its a nice place to work. Tuesday is $5 dances..no way for me!!
My boyfriend worked at Sugar's and its also a nice place, but apparently girls are not banking there lately.
Yellow Rose is also a nice place but lots of girls, and sometimes high contact. I wouldn't mind working there.
I started at Expose. Now a huge amount of money to be made, but its a good start if you are new to Austin. There are lots of blue collar guys, some of them can be a bit crude. I am good friends with one of the managers there. If you message me, we can discuss.
Stay away from the other places. I know the owner of Expose/Landing Strip and he REFUSED to let his girlfriend work at Landing Strip..HIS OWN CLUB!
I've never been to Crazy Lady, but I'd like to go sometime, lots of tatooed punk rocks chix there...cool...
Good luck!

P.S, I've been to the Landing Strip- Mainly ugly girls and hoodlums for clients. Not great earning potential unless your the sole distributor of 40 oz malt liquor in Austin.

I'm a simple man, making my way through the universe.
Austin clubs are always hiring. I work at Penthouse now, but I have also worked at Joy, Sugar's and the Landing Strip.anyone from austin tx and know any good clubs to work for/hiring/etc there?
Last night I was hanging out at Expose, it was Sunday night and the place was full, lot's of table dances going on the whole time. Looked like a good place to work, I would go there if it wasn't so far from my side of town. Sunday nights at the Penthouse are pretty slow, and there are hotter chics to compete with there.
Don't waste your time at the Landing Strip, guys there are blue collar and it's like pulling teeth to get a dance out of them. Joy is known for higher mileage dances, but I haven't been there lately to see how true that is.
I'm happy to help if you have any questions about Austin clubs.
Thanks!
So, what would I have to do to apply there? call? walk in? are there auditions? what are the house fees? about how big are the clubs? how safe is it? what kind of girls would they hire? what kind of outfits do the girls wear? what restrictions/rules? any other info? thanks!
To get hired you should first call the club you want to work in. Tell the door girl you want to get hired as a dancer and she'll tell you when to come in and talk to a manager. Come in looking decent to meet him. I've never had to actually audition at any clubs, the manager just kinda looks you over when he meets you; so make sure you look cute. From there its just filling out some paper work. He'll need to make a copy of your ID, so make sure you have it. Then you can usually work that night if you want, or come in whenever after that.
House fees are different at every club, they usually waive your house fee on your first night.
Penthouse is the biggest club, Landing Strip and Expose are smaller, the rest are in between. All Texas clubs seem to be pretty big, with a minimum of 25 girls per night shift. Day shifts have fewer girls.
The clubs are safe enough, just play it smart. Use common sense. Always have someone see you to your car, never ever leave or meet customers outside the club. Like I said, common sense.
They hire all kinds of girls, really sometimes it seems they hire anything that walks in the door.
There are no gown clubs in Austin, so you can wear any type of outfit you want to all of them.
Most places give you a written copy of the rules when they hire you. It will take one glance around the room to see that no one actually listens to those rules. Just watch the other girls and do what they do, well, what the decent ones do anyway.![]()
I also wrote you a private message Raven. Mariah, maybe I'll see you at Penthouse, I think I might go in next week.
Meow...besos....

and would I need to bring anything to the first meeting? and should i already have the shoes and outfit and stuff already? and what kind of paperwork do we have to sign? should i go alone or bring a friend with me? any other suggestions? and should i practice dancing beforehand? should i have like cds or song ideas for the dances already?
oh yea, and should I start work as a waitress to get used to the environment? if so, what do they wear and do we have to get it ourselves? and about how much does a typical girl make at those clubs? and how picky are they about how a girl looks? i am not the hottest girl out there, i know, i have flaws, but i think i can look good sometimes.
and you girls in austin, which clubs do you work in? and would u recommand for a beginner?
Make sure you have your drivers license, and SS card for them to copy. The paper work is just your address, emergency contact and a tax form, basic stuff.and would I need to bring anything to the first meeting? and should i already have the shoes and outfit and stuff already? and what kind of paperwork do we have to sign? should i go alone or bring a friend with me? any other suggestions? and should i practice dancing beforehand? should i have like cds or song ideas for the dances already?
If you plan to work that night then go ahead and bring in your work supplies. You don't need a friend really, it's not like she'll be there when you have to do your first lap dance. If you want to for support that's up to you. Just remember if your friend is not 21 they can't come in.
Practice in the mirror at home, and in your heels. If you don't want to go on stage, a 20 tip to the DJ let's you skip all night. I think it's better to just get up there and get it over with, the waitress idea is a pain and takes too long. They have to spend the time training you, waitresses are on a schedule, not free like the dancers. If you only want to wait tables for a week it really just wastes their time having to train you when you quit days later. If you want to be a dancer just jump right in!
Raven,
Relax doll. The application process is the same as for any job application. They will tell you their expectations for you. First day, try to ask the manger to find you a girl to "buddy" up with. They did this for me, but the girl just kind of blew me off, but she let me follow her around long enough to get my first table. The best way to succeed in this industry is to learn from experience and trust instincts.
If you want a job where all the rules and potential obstacles are written down, this in not the place. You will mess up, you will get ripped off, you may run into trouble from other girls who are not quite "civilized."
You will get too drunk on the job at least once, and you will be offered drugs. Sip scotch and water, don't do the drugs.
Forget waitressing if you want to strip, it takes a long time to make good money as a waitress because they hire way too much waitstaff to insure competition amongst the girls.
Like I said in my PM to you, go to Expose for the first time, its smaller, more intimate, lots of regulars.
They don't really care if you can dance. You can even skip the stage the first day or two if you are not confident. I did not skip stage, its the best way to throw yourself in there. The DJ usually has a good selection of songs, and they seldom allow hip-hop, unfortunately. BUT, definately practice with the shoes.
Get traction pads from Walgreens to tape onto the bottom of your shoes, they are like $3 and will save your ass!
