I was wondering if any of you had a really bad experiences while dancing at a particular club. I would like to start travelling a little and want to know which clubs to avoid. Which clubs would you never set foot in to work again and why?![]()

I know you're asking from other dancers, Lilac, but:
Deja Vu in downtown Seattle. Not much fun for me, and the ladies didn't act like they enjoyed the place, either.
Al's Green Door in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I walked in, looked around, and left 60 seconds later. Some bars are grungy but Cheers-like. This was Cheers In Hell.

If you travel, be very careful about the Deja Vu chain. Their tipouts and appearance fees usually eat up 50 to 60 percent of your earnings and on top of that, they have fines for every little thing.
I went to Bare Assets, and man.....it stinks, smelled like vomit. Very small, and well the dancers don't get off their butts. Now thats a great club. All of maybe 6 cutomers there.
Just my opinion.

It's a tossup between KitKat Club in South Bend, IN (club being shot up) and Nero's in El Paso, TX (having to piss in garbage cans cuz bathroom stalls were constantly "busy").

Were was that at pamella?
Showboat Showclub, Anchorage Alaska. the booking agent lied through his teeth to me to get me there. Told me stuff like there was a nice condo for the dancers to stay in for like $15 a night (the place was a dumpy townhouse style apartment with four beds in each of three bedrooms and only one bathroom for 12 dancers?), I was also told that the club got packed every night and seated 500 customers, which wasn't even close to what really business was like. Other stuff was like it being really high contact, when I was told that this was not the case, that there was a driver to take up to and from the club everyday (yellow cab), and that the other dancers were really great to work with (I got ripped off several times, and many girls tried to start fights with me for no reason that I could see, also there was a dressing room cat fight twice in the four days I worked there).
I found this to be a really bad experience and would not wish this upon anyone who wants to travel. Managers and booking agents lie. I can't tell you how many times I have gone to a club and it is really slow, and all the manager says is "It is never this slow, I wonder what is going on this week?" But the dancers you work with will tell another story, and confirm that yes, it is always this slow, and that the manager doesn't know what he is talking about.
Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!
Nashville Tn: avoid Tiara's, the club on the 11th floor penthouse whose name I can't remember, and The Executive Club which has the whole fuck on green, stop time up on red, hide on blue cause cops are there light system upstairs in the "dance" rooms. In East St.louis: avoid Roxy's unless you can deal with high contact and sex.

The Great Alaskan Bush 2 in Phoenix, AZ. Lasted there about 30 minutes.
Baby Dolls in Houston, TX.
Crude sexual harassment, rampant prostitution, managers serving as pimps to very miserable looking fat girls. The visiting features are shocked. These are just a few of it's shortcomings. It's a hellhole.

The Texas Pin-up Stripteuse!
Gotta agree with LayaLeighton. ABCO (as it's fondly called) used to be a great dance bar about 20 years ago from what I'm told. Then it went to a male review and now it's a strip club. It completely sucks. The girls are rude, the clients are creepy. If you do go to Phoenix, either of the Christie's are great places. Very clean and upscale. Lots of high rollers, too. I've seen George Clooney, David Spade, and TONS of baseball players in there.

Clubs in western PR have always been somewhat skanky but lately it has gotten worse. One club in particular, Candie's in Hormigueros, has become ROB heaven. I was pickpocketed once during a private dance and someone else got milked out of $350.00 for a hj (read my posts on the subject, in "customer conversation"). I'm seriously considering refraining from going to these clubs when I'm out there. I enjoy myself much more at the beautiful beaches in the area.
Fantasy Island - West LA - So many fat ugs and mean hookers who don't know enough English to make a sale. I totally admire anyone who moves to a new country in search of a better life, but not when they are too fat and ugly to be working as a dancer.
Most people prefer to believe their leaders are just and fair even in the face of evidence to the contrary, because once a citizen acknowledges that the government under which they live is lying and corrupt, the citizen has to choose what he or she will do about it. - M Rivero

the blue moon in newburgh, ny (they also have 2 other locations: new paulz & kingston) too much contact- i thought i was going to lose my piercings cause of these shits. the customers tore my outfits on stage and nothing was done about it. very close-minded customers (they told me to pretty much fuck off when i asked them for a dance). extreme drug use & management and the dancers gave me shit because of my decision not to use drugs. pretty much the whole experience was so bad it caused my travelling friend to go running up and down the street with a 12g shotgun. (see my post titled 'out of control customers' in the ladies only board)
if you ever go to boston, i'd stay away from these two places: the glass slipper & aga's highland tap. i went in to the slipper to check it out. i didnt think the place seemed safe. heard horror stories about the tap, though.
"RIP THE SYSTEM"

Spearmint Rhino in Rialto, CA after it reopened as a nude club. Took a boyfriend in there to buy him a few lap dances as a present.
After our eyes adjusted, we saw girls letting customers openly fingerbang them and lick pussy at the TIP RAIL. The club was dark and dirty, and they kept playing annoying pornos on all the TV screens. Full nude contact dances were being advertised by the DJ for only $20 (way too low a price, in my opinion for a nude lap dance). We left quickly after that, we were afraid to touch anything!

I'd hate to say it... Santa Fe Gold (Surfers Paradise, Queensland, Australia). It was the first club and only other club I have worked at since I have been a stripper.
Now that I'm at a really good club (well the best on the Gold Coast)... I can't understand what made me stay there for so long!![]()
It is THE smallest club on the Gold Coast. The lap dance area forever has a strange smell to it thanks to a Korean restaurant located beneath it. The owner do not care enough about the place to keep it looking good inside or outside (cracked/missing tiles on the stairs leading up to the door). The lap dance area itself doesn't look inviting enough: too open, too small and just doesn't look hygenic enough.
It is dark.. the stage is narrow and small... the customers only stay because of the pool tables.
I have to give credit to a dancer there named Helena aka Naughty Nurse (as she always wore a Nurse costume - I also don't know if she is still there or not). She has made this dive a gold mine for herself. So.. it can work for you if you know how to make it work for you however there are better clubs.

Yeah, I know what you mean.....I work at Christie's Cabaret in Greensboro, NC. That "manager lie" goes on everywhere. Managers are primarily concerned with keeping girls working in the club so that house fees will get paid.....and owners won't fire the mgmt for having "low numbers".....unfortunately, it's everywhere. Everyone's best bet is to work 2-3 days and use their gut instinct as to whether the club is worth it to work there.
Money is congealed energy, and releasing it releases life's possibilities. ~Joseph Campbell

I second Boston's Highland Tap and Glass Slipper. Hellholes.

The worst club I've ever been in:
"Dream Girls" in Marion, IN - Only been to Marion once and I was only in this club for about 15 minutes (as a customer), but it was awful. This place was totally run down. Everything was old and giving out. Including the dancers. (Now I know some women are able to dance well into their 30's and some into their 40's and still do okay, but OMG. This was gross.)They only sold Bud and BudLight in cans that weren't even cold. And the pool tables were so old that it looked like there was fur on them.
Empress - Tucson, AZ
TD's West - Tucson, AZ
It is just down right nasty there.
