Default LA lap dance ordinance, again!

Looks like opponents of the LA no lap dance rule have gained enough signatures to force a ballot referendum before the ordinance can go into effect! Way to go Cali girls!!!!!!!!!!! [boobies]

Yes, a good beginning - but it ain't cheap and it ain't over. If the news article is correct that LA clubs spent $400,000 to collect signatures and force a referendum, and if there are 20 clubs within the LA city limits which would be affected by this ordinance, that's $20 grand spent per club to "rent" themselves a 5 month reprieve from this new ordinance.

#1 I suspect that the LA clubowners are going to try and recover some of this money from LA dancers, via stage fees or percentages or some means of increasing the club's share of dancer earnings.

#2 I also suspect that when the referendum goes to the voters in March that the ordinance will be upheld - after all they'll have a new Republican governor by then!

I get Jane mag. and they talk some about the ban. It seems some clubs may be taking other paths to get around this, peep shows for example, and others meeting outside the club for private parties.

Jane mag. can be strange at times, and i don't believe everything i read. But i understand this new ban is hurting business, so i can see why some clubs may have to "spruce up the system some."
