Default Hi! Q's about traveling and Christie's, PA

Hello all, so glad this site exists! I'll be very grateful if anyone can help me.

I have been dancing for a couple of years in MA, and never ventured anywhere. After taking some time off for school, graduating, and having trouble finding work (or paying work, heh...), I decided to go back to dancing (which I miss anyway). But I don't want to dance in MA anymore, and am not too keen on RI either, as it'll be more or less dead in the winter anyway, hear nothing good about those clubs, and besides, I have no car. I just want to get away from Northeast in general.

So, I need to travel. After searching and searching, Christie's in PA came up as one of the better places, and although I'm not sure, I need to decide on something, I guess. What I'd like to know is how to go about it. It's easy to call and ask if they're hiring, but even if they are I have to be seen by them. And for that I need to go there. Without certainty. They have no website, so I can't mail a picture. I just don't want to spend tons of money and time to fly out there for nothing. How did those of you who travel start out? How do you find cheap flights, inexpensive motel rooms in the area, make all the arrangements in advance? I really need to get out of here. Oh, and how do you rate yourself? I mean I don't look like a stereotype of a stripper, but so far I've done well. I'm 5'5, 105, 34b-22-34, mid. twenties, look yonger and have worked as a model, too (meaning am decent looking, lol). Can anyone please tell me how picky Christie's is, what kind of girls do they hire, and I'm all open to other suggestions of clubs/states as well. I'm seriously ready to go just about anywhere, and soon. Gotta beat the tax season, too.

Thank you very much in advance.

I've seen a couple of threads about this club on here....you should do a search. I understand they are very picky about the girls they hire.

Blu,Iam not sure about christies but I and others have posted stuff about traveling around the site,I always call in advance and tell them when I am coming in and were I have worked, usualy when I tell them, they will tell me to come in and ask for whomever when I get in town, make up the names of some top clubs if you havent worked at any,it will help. Also I usually get beast airfare by just calling all airlines at least 2-3 weeks in advance and booking, last time I traveled, southwest had a buy one friend flies free,it cost 140 round trip for me and my friend to go to New Orleans from Florida, thats 70 each round trip, with hotels I go on travelocity or one of those and punch in an area I want to stat, usually when you try to book with the very cheap hotels through them and punch in the date,it will say sold out, they usually will still have oppenings at that price if you call and if your not sure of exact area ask at the club if they offer discounted hotels to the out of town girls, when I was going to new orleans they told me a hotel they offered for 45 a night so I just told the hotel I was working there,I did ,but only 2 shifts,I was only there 6 days though, well good luck,if you have any more questions let me know, you can pm me.

Hey Emily, thanks for replying. I read all the other threads about it. Guess my post came out jumbled. I need to know so much I'm asking everything at once. Oh, and I've worked at Centerfold's in Boston, which is also considered picky. But maybe not enough...lol...

What I really need to know is how to travel with grace. How do you go to a club in another state if not sure you'll work? It's an investment, ya know... I'm not working right now, living off my savings, and afraid to lose more money. I hope I'm making sense. Or do you only go to places that you call, describe yourself, and they say definitely yes, come work? And again, how do you find affordable flights/accomodations? And walk away with profit from the venture? Oh, yea, and how do you take all the money you made on the plane back/where do you keep it in safety while working? Just getting a car and driving across country is not feasible right now, and besides, would end up costing me the same as flying, if not more.

I know I'm asking a lot of questions, but thanks to whomever has patience to answer!

Also, you can wire your funds back to your bank account,ot have them turned into money orders, thats probably best, just make sure to fill them out right when you get them and keep that portion seperate and hidden if they get lost or stollen.

Thanks, Michele! Guess that's what it means being street smart; knowing all that.

    Default Phoenix Christie's

Blu, I work at Christie's in Phoenix. You can search under the review section for info on stage fees, etc.

From your description, I don't think you'll have a problem getting hired. Although they are picky, Christie's hires all shapes and sizes. They look for well groomed and well spoken ladies who are fit and present themselves professionally.

Although the amateur night is on Tuesdays, they will audition you (time permitting) any night. Just don't show up on Friday evening at 8pm and expect the manager to give you an audition. New hire orientation is on Wed nights.

For better piece of mind, you might want to call the club 602-275-3095 and speak to the GM Taylor Kessler. Ask if you can email him a picture so he can tell you if he'd hire you or not. That way you won't waste time and $$.

The Phoenix club is in a really seedy part of town (most of the strip clubs are) So you might want to stay in Tempe and rent a car. Or, if you are okay with dancing nude, the Christie's in Tempe is literally right next door to 4 different motels and across the street from AZ Mills mall. They are much less pickier about hiring at that location since most of us don't want to dance nude.

Business has picked up tremendously in the past few weeks

    Good Luck

Britney, thank you very much for the info. You should see me here, furiously scribbling everything down. Quite funny.
