    Default What to Do?

I have been putting off auditioning at Signatures in Philly for 2 weeks because I'm afraid that I won't do well when it comes to asking the men for dances. I think I would be ok dancing on stage, but 'm shy and I think asking for dances would be me weak point.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do to get over this fear?
I almost went out and bought dance shoes but I couldn't quite do it!!!!
Also, I have been considering working for an agency that supplies dancers for bachelor parties, but is this really safe?

    Thanks everyone

I work at Signatures. Just go for it. They always hire newbies. You may get over your shyness, but you'll never know if you don't even take the plunge.

Dancing involves selling. you must walk around from table to table asking for dances or if you are in a club where you need to chat with a guy first befor asking for the business, ask if you can join him, teel him your name and say, and yours and just ask him general stuff like does he come to the club often, what kind of work he does and after about one song ask for the dances and after one, tell him while still dancing for him as close as you are able to in the club, "want me to keep going?"

after the dances, ask for a tip, say "Do I get a tip? Look right in his eyes and rub his arm.

All your money comes from dances. Just follow the script.

    Hi,
I would say just go for it, you may be suprised once you get in the club. Once I actually got in the club for the first time, it was not what I expected, and in a good way. I think alot of women psyche themself out. It is all in the attitude. What is the worst that could happen? He will say no, and you will get alot of no's, but when you get the "yes" it will be worth it. So just smile and move on, never take it personal because it isn't.
You know, one exciting way to think about working in the club is that you can be who ever you want to be. For the most part, you will never see any of these guys anywhere but in the club (I have only run into someone I recognized outside a club once in a year). So think of it that way and have fun with it!
    Good luck

Hey hot chocolate, you shouldn't worry so much, though I do know how you feel. I remember the first time I auditioned to dance. I was such a chicken. I had to have a drink, to let loose a little. Signatures is a great club to start at. I worked there for a little while. It's small and way less intimidating, than Delilahs or Oasis. You should just do it!!!

I can be shy outside of work, but dancing is a different story! Right when I first get to the club at night it's a little hard until I sell my first LD. After that it's cake! I say jump in.
