Default Another Oversized Girlie Palace Going Up in Vegas

    Hi ladies,

I just thought that I'd share one of my vacation snapshots with you. This is a pic of the soon to be opened Treasures Gentlemens Club out in Las Vegas, going up across I-15 from the Palace Station hotel.

Now I like a club to look nice, but geez must they resemble the Taj Mahal, and is it wise to keep building these monsters when the ones that have already been built aren't generating the traffic they were hoping for?

I guess if one has $20 million that they have to launder.

Catfish, I have to agree with you that the new multimillion dollar Vegas clubs are NOT making their mortgage payments based on cover charges and drink sales!

Britney according to this article from May of this year it is supposed to be opening sometime this month. I haven't seen an entry for it on TUSCL or stripclublist yet, and none of the ladies at the clubs I went to knew anything.

Its owned by Ali and Hassan Davari who own the Treasures and other clubs in Houston. They apparently don't have the best of reputations for running "clean" establishments.

I've seen this new monster mega club being built, its clearly visible from the freeway. It has been advertising that it will be open on September 16th.

It looks nice from the outside, but its location leaves a bit to be desired...its more in the northern section of Las Vegas. Whether or not that will cut into the amount of customer traffic it gets remains to be seen. Like all new Vegas clubs, it will probably be busy the first month or two its open just because its new, after that it might turn into a complete ghost town.

And considering what I've read about the owners, I'm wondering if this place will support itself by money laundering or underground prostitution. I'll have to check it out as a customer when it opens (as I really don't want to work a brand new club when I'm happy at the one I'm at).

They (the Vegas city council) justified the vote by placing a condition on the club: The first time a dancer is convicted on sexual misconduct charges, the brothers agree to surrender their liquor license without a legal fight. No one believes that, however, especially since they're spending $7.4 million on the club.
This little tidbit leads to a conclusion that things could turn out in two different flavors of bad. First is that opponents of this new club and/or opponents of the politicians who support this club for their own reasons (I can guess what those reasons might be in a city with a poor economy and with elections at hand) may precipitate reasons for a club bust, with the thought in mind of charging dancers with sexual misconduct in an effort to have the club's liquor license pulled.

The second and probably more likely possibility is that the same "fix is in" politics which got the club approved despite zoning laws, background checks, existing dance club ordinance requirements etc. will also result in a similar "fix is in" scenario in regard to law enforcement. If that is the case then no busts for sexual misconduct are going to happen in this club ... ever. But this of course means that the sleaze/'extras' factor in this club is likely to set new records for Vegas. With the owners being from Houston, they certainly know how to operate clubs in an 'extras' scenario.

I would definitely think twice about being a dancer in this new club during the first month of operations, just in case the first possibility takes place. If the opponents of this new club wind up busting dancers on sexual misconduct charges it's going to be a high publicity media circus (not to mention about a zero % chance of being found innocent).

    Jeez that's scary.
I just read the article regading Treasures. Thinking twice about working there.

As for the Vegas club, nothing could really be worse than that Houston thing, right???

Keep in mind Juliette that Treasures in Houston ranks among the most popular gentlemens club venues in the US and that it attracts a considerable amount of money customers to boot.

What we as dancers consider bad is what most customers consider good, and if money customers can go to a plush environment and enjoy time and company with dancers of their liking who are 8's to 10's, and enjoy full contact dances and or extras to boot that is where they will be. And the mayor is pro strip clubs in LV.

Treasures has a good reputation amongst the guys patronizing it and they are the ones spending the money.Every guy no matter what income bracket he falls in will choose to patronize a club where he can enjoy good conversation and extras from a pretty woman. We want to make our money teasing and a guy wants the real deal, right? Eventually no guy will pay high club prices to be teased by a woman he really wants to have sex with. Going to clubs has gotten too expensive and that is why high and middle end clubs have slowed down by about 30% nationwide over the last 5 years. In the next several years there will probably be no table dancing in clubs and they will return to go go's. 10's and 5's will have to resort to having sex with customers as escorts to make the money they used to make in clubs,or quit working in the adult business. Upscale clubs won't have enough steady business to provide income soon.

Only time will tell how the LV Treasures is run. I don't think it will operate like Houston unless the competition operates in that manner also. Houston clubs weren't so 'guy friendly' until business got slow.

Tina, I couldn't agree with you more on this point ... unfortunately. If Treasures opens in Vegas with a "fix is in" arrangement to offer extras, it won't be long before customers at the cleaner Vegas clubs start migrating there in droves. Not to say that extras can't be readily found in existing Vegas clubs, but this would allow them to be found in a $7 million dollar building without having to wait for shift change or club closing. Yes, this arrangement is certainly very popular with upscale club customers. This arrangement is also very profitable for dancers who are comfortable providing extras. But like Houston, this arrangement does seriously cut into the earnings potential of girls who are '7's and '8's and who are not comfortable providing extras, to the point where they may be better off thinking about a different city or a different line of work altogether.
