I've considered it, but they have no pole. and I will not work without a pole!
I know girls who have danced there, and they seemed to like it.. a few things to be aware of, though:
The woman who does the booking (I think she's an owner, though I'm not sure) is tempermental and can be hard to deal with, from what I've heard. Nothing awful, and this is only what I've heard, but still.
It's a very popular club among dancers in portland, and since it's so small they usually put only 2-4 girls on per shift. So it can be VERY hard to get shifts there.
If you're tall, you may not be able to work on their stage. I don't remember exactly what the clearance is between floor and ceiling, but I have a friend who's around 5'10" and once she puts her heels on, there's no way she can work on that stage! If you're shorter or don't wear huge platforms, it can work out good, but tall girls will need to be prepared for that stage.
Thanks Orchid! Do you know if they let girls from out of town work there for a short spell? Have you heard anything about table dances or the average money to be made? I am also wondering about Portland in general...because D.C. and Baltimore is DEAD right now...its only going to get worse when summer comes....and Portland is tattoo friendly....YEAH!!!

I don't know if they do short-term bookings.
I'm trying to picture the club in my head, and I can't figure out *where* they would put table dances, but I know they do them there. Probably just off in the corner or something..
Portland in general is also *dead* right now. You're right, it's pretty tattoo-friendly, to the point that unmarked dancers are soemtimes remarked upon by customers. But there's not a hell of a lot of money going around right now, at least not the clubs I've been working. I've heard that it's pretty much nothing everywhere.
However, summer means our incomes go *up* out here, especially since a few of the clubs have outdoor patios (surrounded by high walls, of course) and taxi dancing on those can mean some money.
If you're looking to travel and dance and make money to support yourself back home, portland probably isn't it. If you're looking for a vacation and want to dance a bit while you're out here, I'd try in a couple months.
That is good news...I was worried business in Portland would drop off in the summer similar as it does here....I am considering a sublet for a month (2 or 3?) to make a decision on whether to move for good come fall....I wanted to travel to dance and make some good money but after chatting on the boards for awhile I have come to the realization that very few clubs exist without full contact and "extras" ....hmmmm....I like to perform and thats about it....I think thats why I really liked Portland... the attitude not only from the girls was postive but the men out there as opposed to where I live had a totally different take on it....Maybe it was just the few clubs I went in to ..... ~Tori~
