once you get north of the NYC limits, the stricter NYC anti-dance club ordinances no longer apply. Virtually every nude club in the northern counties offers MUCH higher contact levels than nude NYC clubs, in an attempt to pursuade guys that the extra 30 minute drive is worth it! If you're defining 'upscale' as top shelf NYC or Atlanta or Chicago clubs, upstate has zero clubs which meet this definition. However, there IS money to be made if you don't have a problem with high contact, which is high in comparison to NYC nude clubs but nothing compared to Houston or San Francisco.
Thanks Melonie, Any club names that I ought to check out? The only on I've heard of is Smiles, have you worked there?

Juliette, I have to be honest with you and tell you that basically all of the clubs in Westchester county (like Billy Budd's) are still so heavily regulated that they're virtually dead. The clubs in Orange and Rockland county are unregulated and very alive - TOO alive for many dancers. Probably the best compromise on a club in this area is Lace in West Nyack, followed by Stiletto in Nanuet.
If you would consider Springfield, MA....which is less than 30 minutes from Hartford, CT...the Mardi Gras is the best club I have visited in the country.

I work in upstate NY, what would you like to know specifically? Smiles is a nude juice bar, definitely not upscale, but no back room dancing like many of the Hudson Valley clubs. If you are looking for upscale, I would try Lace in Nyack (topless, booze) or nude try Stiletto's. The next "upscale" club upstate would be Dicarlos in Albany.Anywhere else in between Albany and Westchester will be back room, nude lap dancing clubs.
old thread, bringing it back up for a friend. any updated info on this area?
i'm confused where is lace/stiletto. she is just going up for a visit and wanted to pick up a few shifts. is that possible in that area.

CT is definitely better than Westchester.
Beamers (Stamford) used to be good.
Has anyone worked at the Gold Club in Hartford lately? I haven't been there for a long time, but the ownership hasn't changed since then and they were always pretty cool to work for....

As far as NY clubs go, Stilettos/Lace are the way to go. Professional, decent earnings potential. Anything further up becomes sleazier with more drama than the trip is worth. Either they are brothels in disguise or clubs that are run half assed. The Gold Club in Ct. is operated by the old owners of the former Zebra Club which used to be in Norwalk Ct. Facility is decent, have heard that earnings have been a bit off (but isn't that the story everywhere lately). A new club in New Rochelle was supposed to open, I was wondering if anyone had any input. I can't remember the name of it right now, but I know the town was having a fit about it.
she is going to stilettos on friday and working sat-mon. so we will see.

Daria - the new club that opened in New Rochelle is called Casanova Gold. I'm currently there for the summer. It is not really topless. You have to wear pasties and Brazilian cut bottoms (the club is currently involved in a legal battle with the city over whether or not it can go topless; it has gone all the way to federal court). Fridays and Saturdays are the best nights as far as volume (if it can be called that). The girls seem to have the best luck selling VIPs during the work week when there are very few girls working (4 to 6) and about the same number of customers or a little more in the club at the same time.
I have to warn you that since the club is new and surrounded by controversy, it is DEAD. When we do get a good crowd, it's usually just "lookers" or locals who have come around to "hang out" because it is, oddly enough, the nicest club in all of New Rochelle, period.
However, the club charges no house fee. If you are the type that they really want to keep, they will offer you incentives to stick around which may be worth your while, at least for the summer. If you live outside New Rochelle and someone is going your way, it's easy to get a ride home without having to get a taxi, as long as you're willing to put up gas money.
