Is it hard to get hired in Vegas ?
Also are there any tips for getting hired ?
I work at the Admiral and I intend to work at Club Paradise because they have the same owners.
But some of my co -workers say that it is hard to get hired in Vegas.
    Just wondering?
    Thanks,

I just got back from Vegas, packed with NASCAR fans. Forgot to sign in though...oops!

I sincerely believe that looks really mean NOTHING when trying to get hired in Vegas anymore. I remember when you had to be a 9 or 10 to get hired at Club Paradise but, man....there are some hoofers in there lately!! It pretty much comes down to whether or not the person doing the hiring for that night likes you enough to go through the hassle of paperwork and orientation.

With the economy in the toilet, club owners are maximizing their revenue through stage fees: the more girls working, the more stage fee revenue. So be prepared to work with 300-500 girls at the big clubs (OG, CH2, Sapphires) and 150-200 at the smaller ones (Spearmint Rhino, Club P, Cheetahs)

Also keep in mind that there is no "best" club in Vegas. I would highly suggest somewhere other than Club Paradise if you are coming in for a short trip. They take very good care of their regular girls (which rocks if you live there and that is your home club) However, it is very difficult to make money there if you do not work there regularly. For example, you are not allowed to approach ANY customers in the VIP section unless you are a "VIP" girl. And if you do find someone on the floor who wants to go into the VIP section you have to grease the VIP bouncer's palms heavily (20%), which is atypical for Vegas (I don't tip out anyone unless they do something for me)

In terms of contact, the lap dance law really did nothing. There is still grinding and fondling at county clubs (Club P, SR, Jags) Sapphires just got raided 2 weeks ago and several girls were arrested for grinding, but this weekend it was back to normal (just watch your back and hope for the best)

My final word is to be realistic, Vegas is not what it used to be. There are now 33 clubs compared to the 5 that were there 7 years ago. There are also more dancers than ever before. If you make good money in a big city club, it may not be worth the travel expenses.

Realistically, (if you don't do extras) you will average about 6 to 8 a night, with a G night on the weekend.
If you take out your travel expenses (for me it was $150/day for hotel, food, cab fare, stage fees) thats only 450-650 profit.

I'm lucky enough to only incur a $75 plane ticket since I stay with friends who live there. However, I probably wouln't go as often if I had to cover the travel expenses that I used to have.

    Hope this was any help!

I live in Las Vegas, and everything Britney says is true. Before my husband moved out here (job transfer for him) I used to travel to Vegas to work, on and off from California. If I had to travel now, I'd say that it really isn't worth the hassle and expense.
Vegas used to be a very fun place to work, and I looked forward to my trips there, but with the new lap dance laws, economy going down, and extra girls, what was once a wonderful place to work has slowly become one big headache.

I moved to Las Vegas just over two years ago, it was great. Then no one could have predicted 9/11. Slowly and steadily my income has gone down and down and as of january this year up to now, it looks like it's even worse with war looming in the near future. I have made plans to move out of Las Vegas. There are more girls than ever here and more clubs with more in the works. Girls upon girls all hungry for money, practically tripping over one another. Very sad, Vegas in my opinion is probably one of the worst cities in the USA right now for dancing. I'll miss living in Las Vegas, but the little money here is not worth the aggravation anymore. It will be a long time if ever things will recover here. The market is beyond saturated and there are not enough customers to support it.
Another downside here is sooooo many once nice girls I've known for a while now have resorted to giving all kinds of "extras" just to make a living here. It's very sad. And many men that come here now expect it and think we all do it.
In just the few years living here I've watched things deteriorate drastically. Too bad. What once was so good is gone here.

I personally agree with you Vegas Dancer. Towards 1999 the business there took a nose dive because there are more girls working than paying customers.

Britney, I just don't see $600-$800 a night there and a g on the weekends working with hundreds of girls. sure the POTENTIAL exists to have a night or two like that but reality is that AFTER TIP OUTS, which is how I mention earnings in all my posts, if you can hit $200-$300 you've done above average. Many PRETTY girls I know who have worked there confess to having had $40-$50 nights AFTER tip outs quite often.

Too many girls are stuck on one good night and brag over and over about it and don't mention the other nights. with that many dancers the law of averages shows that no one girl will CONSISTENTLY come out ahead night after night. Many nights you are not what the guys want or the money isn't flowing your way in large amounts. with that many girls guys look long and hard before they choose one girl.

Also, too many dancers travel EXTRAVAGANTLY. There is no reason to fly into Las Vegas if you live less than 1000 miles away. people from Phoenix and Southern California drive it regularly. There is no reason to take a cab to the clubs it is too expensive and your car will allow you to live in town as freely as you do at home.

In Vegas, the suites such as Budget and Town and Country have 1 bedrooms furnished with all but a microwave and bedding, and have full sized refrigerators for around $230 or a little more per week. You can bring your own bedding and small microwave in the car. Why do so many dancers have to always 'grab something to eat'. You can buy a weeks groceries if you stay in the suites and eat like you do at home much more healthily and cheaper than a restaurant.

Plus it is MUCH easier to throw all your things in the trunk of your car and you can stay gone longer should you decide to if you drive, let alone avoid all the bullshit with airport security.

When I hear that $600-$800 a night is crap, it makes me sick to my stomach because that is a LOT of money even if you subtract $100 to work out of it. $500 a night times 20 nights in a month if you work full time is $10,000. If that kind of money were really made per night, why would a girl not LIVE in the city where she could earn it and work as many nights as she could to hoard all the money?

I don't see that kind of money being made NIGHTLY and I believe many dancers travel like they are company CEO's but don't have the means to do so.

Vegas is history in my book, and a lot of that is due to anti- dance ordinances being passed in epidemic proportions nationwide driving girls all over to find work after the clubs they used to work in eliminated the contact and the alcohol.

    Tina,
Excellent points about the groceries. Although with the price of gas these days, it's actually cheaper for me to fly Southwest than to put 4 tanks of gas in my SUV!!!

6-8 is still very attainable. Thats only 5 dances an hour for 6-8 hours. I've noticed that since the multitude of dancers approach the customer with "Wanna dance?" when I say "Hi how are you?" I've got the sale.

However, I only ever work Saturday and Sunday nights up there, so maybe my estimate wasn't a good weekly average.

Hi Thanks for the advice I just got back today
When I tried to work at CH2 the manager said that I looked too young and that he didn't feel like ''babysitting''. He was rude and I replied oh isn't this the club that got raided a few weeks ago I didn't want to work here anyway.
My first Vegas experiance sucked I stood in line three hours to get my Sheriff's card. And all of the clubs I wanted to work at I couldn't because im 19 so I settled for Cheetah's. I am in California visiting my grandparents and im working at the local Rhino.
    Thanks,

Yeah, if you're under 21 and want to work topless in Vegas, the only clubs you can go to are CH2, OG and Cheetahs. All the other clubs are under county rules. Also, I read in the paper that the Feds finally gave back all the sheriff's cards that they took during the CH2 raid.

I've always thought that when dancers went to Vegas to moonlight for a couple of days that it was more like a working vacation and not really all about the work and money. If you look at it that way, it really isn't bad. Don't you girls party after work or take in the sites when you're down there?

All I hear when I come into work is girls bitching about not even getting one dance per hour, and that happens more and more often. If 6-8 were possible then there would be no discussion about how slow it is.
I agree with the other post on here about how many girls live outside their means and also inflate their incomes. I'm really not sure who they think they are impressing with outrageous numbers that VERY rarely exsist in Las Vegas anymore. Sure here or there you might get lucky and make 6-8, but that is getting to be SO rare.
Just today I was talking with a very pretty girl from New Mexico that came here to dance. And all she wanted was one dance to get her money back that she paid to get into work. That is very very sad. There is no way that attractive women that dance and are willing to get naked should be leaving a club after several hours with no profit. There is really something wrong when that happens.

Greed and more restrictive club laws around the country has caused the Vegas problem. this started in New York with asshole Giuliani's laws that shut down lots of clubs and other cities followed suit. What happened in Dallas which WAS a lucrative market until girls started going to jail drove dancers to Vegas.

Vegas did not need Jaguars and Sapphires. There are a lot more clubs in the Vegas metro area that no one mentions such as Divas, Play it Again Sam, Larry's Villa, Palomino, Strip Tease, Tally Ho, Pussycats, Little Darlings, Club Paradise, Deja Vu, Can Can Room, Wild J's, Centerfold Lounge, and What's Up.

Granted they may not be as busy as the others but why open new clubs when the others aren't all operating at capacity?

As long as dancers keep focusing on getting large amounts of fast money instead of working as a FULL TIME dancer and measuring decent dancer earnings on being able to earn more than they do at a 40 hour + a week mainstream career, ALL major cities will have more dancers than they have SPENDING customers to support.

I am working at a club this week in rural Nebraska where I am on a 6 day booking with $400 club pay for the week + my tips and dances and will come out of here with close to $1500 for the week clear.

A SMART dancer with no children or man who could travel ALONE 45 weeks of the year and make $1500 a week on an average 6 day booking who could afford to save $400 a week of her earnings could save $18,000 in a year which is waaay more than most office jobs could provide. And if they know how to use this money to start passive income businesses could become well of from their dancing.

I did not live in Vegas for almost 5 months to party. Gambling only benefits the casinos. Vegas is just like any other city once you get off the strips. Dancing needs to be treated like a business by more dancers and not a 2-3 day a week job in a party city.
