Default Q from an In'tl Dancer in re: N.Orleans

All this talk about working in New Orleans has made me ask a question that hasn't been covered yet ....

What is someone like myself who would be a "tourist" officially wanted to work for a couple of weeks during this boom period in New Orleans?

Would all the club require of me is a photocopy of my passport to proove that I'm legal? Do these clubs work CIH (Cash in Hand)?

    ??? ??? ???

Depends on the Club. Most clubs are Cash basis clubs. As for your passport there may be a problem if the manager is picky. But in the state of Louisiana a Passport (although a copy won't work) is valid ID. You might wanna cover your bases and get a work visa, unless your stay is very short, but better safe than sorry.

Well there happens to be an Australian girl who just arrived at my club a few days ago. In conversation she told me she'd just come from NO and loved it. I had to go onstage so the convo was cut short, but I'll ask her tomorrow about this - where she worked and how the visa/ID thing worked for her. I know they're generally rather picky about ID at Rick's, but I've seen some foreign girls in there as well. Due to the large numbers of travellers they get and the tendency for travellers to work one night, promise to pay the tipout the next day and never return, they do require that all out of town girls pay the house fee up front, before starting the shift.
