    There are some truths which are so obvious that for that very reason they are not seen or at least not recognized by ordinary people.

    The true cause of human diseases has finally been discovered. Diseases are caused by the introduction into the human body of cooked (denatured/processed) food and poisonous chemicals. The human body is not, and never has been designed to eat cooked food. Eating cooked food is not normal or natural. Cooking food is a violation of the Laws of Nature. No natural creature ever tampers with its food. Every living organism free from human influence is a 100% raw-food eater and has been since the beginning of time. You do not become a raw-food eater, you already are one. Your body, like every other living organism on Earth without exception is designed to process raw materials. At some point, early in life, you become a cooked foodist and that is the tragedy.

    All diseases are caused by an accumulation in the body of useless cells and poisonous residues left over from the consumption of cooked foods and by a deficiency of healthy cells due to an inadequate source of raw nourishment.     During the past few decades there has been much research done in the area of nutrition. Some of this research casts light on some important insights regarding the foods which Mother Nature offers to us in its whole, raw state, and what happens when we tamper with it.


    What exactly happens to food when it is cooked? What happens to the body if we eat cooked food? Some key points are covered in this article.


    Due to space limitation, we can only but touch on the topic here; however, a brief overview is given below.






    Key Points Regarding the Effects of Cooking on Food and Health



    The food's life force is greatly depleted or destroyed. The bioelectrical (energy) field is altered and greatly depleted (as is graphically demonstrated with kirlian photography). Live and bioactive (raw) food is rendered dead and inert.

    The biochemical structure and nutrient makeup of the food is altered from its original state. Molecules in the food are deranged, degraded, and broken down. The food is degenerated in many ways. Fiber in plant foods is broken down into a soft, passive substance which loses its broom-like and magnetic cleansing quality in the intestines.

    Nutrients (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, etc.) are depleted, destroyed, and altered. The degree of depletion, destruction, and alteration is simply a matter of temperature, cooking method, and time.

    Up to 50% of the protein is coagulated. Much of this is rendered unusable. High temperatures also create cross-links in protein. Cross-linked proteins are implicated in many problems in the body, as well as being a factor in the accelleration of the aging process.

    The interrelationship of nutrients is altered from its natural synergistic makeup. For example, with meat, relatively more vitamin B-6 than methionine is destroyed, which fosters atherogenic free radical-initiating homocysteine accumulation (which is a factor in heart problems).

    The water content of the food is decreased. The natural structure of the water is also changed.

    Toxic substances and cooked "byproducts" are created. The higher the cooking temperature, the more toxins that are created. Frying and grilling are especially toxin-generating. Various carcinogenic and mutagenic substances and hordes of free radicals are generated in cooked fats and proteins in particular.

    Heat causes the molecules involved to collide, and repeated collision causes divalent bonding in order for new molecules, and hence a new substance, to form. In an ordinary baked potato, there are 450 by-products of every description. They have even been named "new chemical composites".

    Unusable (waste) material is created, which has a cumulative congesting/clogging effect on the body and is a burden to the natural eliminative processes of the body.

    All of the enzymes present in raw foods are destroyed at temperatures as low as 118 degrees fahrenheit. These enzymes, named "food enzymes" are important for optimum digestion. They naturally aid in digestion and become active as soon as eating commences. Cooking destroys 100% of these enzymes. Eating enzyme-dead food places a burden on the pancreas and other organs and overworks them, which eventually exhausts these organs. The digestion of cooked food usurps valuable metabolic enzymes in order to help digest the food. Digestion of cooked food is much more energetically demanding than the digestion of raw food. In general, raw food is so much more easily digested that it passes through the digestive tract in a half to a third of the time it takes for cooked food.

    After eating a cooked meal, there is a rush of white blood cells towards the digestive tract, leaving the rest of the body less protected by the immune system. From the point of view of the immune system the body is being invaded by a foreign (toxic) substance when cooked food is eaten.

    A general augmentation of white corpuscles in the blood and a change in the relative proportions of different blood cells occurs. This phenomenon is called "digestive leukocytosis".

    The natural population of beneficial intestinal flora becomes dominated by putrefactive bacteria (particularly from cooked meat), resulting in colonic dysfunction, allowing the absorption of toxins from the bowel. This phenomenon is variously called dysbacteria, dysbiosis, or intestinal toxemia (toxicosis).

    A buildup of mucoid plaque is created in the intestines. Mucoid plaque is a thick tar-like substance which is the long-term result of undigested, uneliminated cooked food putrefying in the intestines. Cooked starches and fats in particular are a major culprit in constipation and clogging of the intestines.

    A build-up of toxins and waste material in many parts of the body, including within individual cells. Some of these toxins and wastes are called lipofuscin, which accumulates in the skin and nervous system, including the brain. It can be observed as "liver spots" or "age spots."

    Malnutrition at the cellular level. Because cooked foods are lower in nutrients, in addition to containing wastes and toxins, individual cells don't receive enough of the nutrients they need.

    Tendency towards obesity through overeating. Because the cells don't get enough nutrients they are so to speak "always hungry" and hence "demand" more food. Cooked food is also less likely to be properly metabolized, which is another factor in excess weight gain.

    From time to time the body experiences detoxification crises (also called purification or healing crises). This happens when toxins are released through the skin or dumped in the bloodstream for elimination by the liver, kidneys, and other organs. The symptoms may include headaches, fever, nausea, vomiting, colds, bronchitis, sinusitis, pneumonia, diarrhea, etc.

    The body can become so toxic that all kinds of particles, such as pollen, can cause detoxification crises, called "allergies". An estimated 80 million Americans suffer from such "allergies".

    The immune system, having to handle the massive daily invasions of toxins and toxic by-products, eventually becomes overwhelmed and weakened. A key factor in the aging process.

    Some of the waste material builds up in the arteries and clogs them, leading to high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, arteriosclerosis, strokes, etc. - killing an estimated 50% of Americans.

    The wastes, toxins, mutagens, and carcinogens that build up within cells, as well as the daily onslaught of excess free radicals eventually cause some cells to become cancerous - killing an estimated 30% of Americans.

    In general, the natural aging process is accelerated by cooked food. People who switch to raw food often become biologically and visibly younger.







    From cancerologist Bruce Ames (regarding "mutagenesis, carcinogenesis, and the degenerative diseases of aging")



    Cooking food is plausible as a contributor to cancer. A wide variety of chemicals are formed during cooking. Four groups of chemicals that cause tumors in rodents have attracted attention because of mutagenicity, potency, and concentration:

    Nitrosamines are formed from nitrogen oxides present in gas flames or from other burning. Surprisingly little work has been done on the levels of nitrosamines in fish or meat cooked in gas ovens or barbecued, considering their mutagenic and carcinogenic potency.

    Heterocyclic amines are formed from heating amino acids or proteins.

    Polycyclic hydrocarbons are formed from charring meat.

    Furfural and similar furans are formed from heating sugars. Heating fat generates mutagenic epoxides, hydroperoxides, and unsaturated aldehydes, and may also be of importance.

    Leukocytosis and Cooked Food


    In 1930, research was conducted at the Institute of Clinical Chemistry in Lausanne, Switzerland, under the direction of Dr. Paul Kouchakoff. The effect of food (cooked/processed vs. raw/natural) on the immune system was tested and documented. Dr. Kouchakoff's discovery concerned the leukocytes, the white blood cells. Apparently, a well-known phenomena occurred immediately after a person ate.


    It was found that after a person eats cooked food, his/her blood responds immediately by increasing the number of white blood cells. This is a well-known phenomena called "digestive leukocytosis", which means that there is a rise in the number of leukocytes, or white blood cells, after eating. Since digestive leukocytosis was always observed after eating, it was considered to be a normal physiological response to eating. No one knew why the number of white cells would rise after eating, since this appeared to be a stress response, as if the body was reacting to something harmful, such as infection, trauma, or exposure to toxic chemicals.


    Back in 1930, Swiss researchers of the institute of Chemical Chemistry studied the influence of food on human blood and made a remarkable discovery. They found that eating unaltered, raw food or food heated at low temperatures did not cause a reaction in the blood. In addition, if a food had been heated beyond a certain temperature (unique to each food), or if the food was processed (refined, added chemicals, etc.), this always caused a rise in the number of white cells in the blood. The researchers renamed this reaction "pathological leukocytosis", since the body was reacting to highly altered food. They tested many different kinds of foods and found that if the foods were not overheated or refined, they caused no reaction. The body saw them as "friendly foods". However, these same foods, if heated at too high a temperature, caused a negative reaction in the blood, a reaction that is found only when the body is invaded by a dangerous pathogen or trauma.


    The worst offenders of all, whether heated or not, were processed foods that had been refined (such as white flour or white rice), or homogenized (a process in which the fat in milk is subjected to artificial suspension), or pasteurized (also seen in milk, flash-heated to high temperatures to kill bacteria), or preserved (chemicals added to food to retard spoilage or to enhance taste or texture). In other words, foods that were changed from their original God-given state. Good examples of these harmful foods are: pasteurized milk, chocolate, margarine, sugar, candy, white flour, and regular salt. The researchers found that if these altered, chemical foods were chewed very thoroughly, the harm to the blood could be lessened. In addition, another amazing finding was that if some of the same food in its raw state was eaten with the cooked counterpart, the pathological reaction in the blood was minimized. However, avoid these unnatural, processed foods; replace them with delicious whole foods for optimal health.

    You know cave men also lived on mostly a raw food diet, and none lived past the age of 18.

    I tought cave men lived off meat, cooked meat. That's always been my understanding. Also, from the VERY limited fossil remains of cavemen, it is hard to tell what their average lifespan was. However, if they we living in caves, it was probably pretty cold, and as I have said before the human body was not and is not designed for cold. We have the most sweat glands out of any primate, and we can drink water very quickly (the fastest of all animals except the elephant (another tropilcal amimal). We are also nearly hairless, due to us being designed to live in tropical climates. Maybe venturing into the wrong climate and eating cooked meat were contributing factors why they had a shortened lifespan. I am not sure, just a educated guess. I know If i tried to live outside in a cave in winter in NY, living off hunting animals, I wouldn't last through 1 winter, let alone 18!

    actually, Meat was very scarce at that point in time. Did they eat meat (cooked/uncooked) at times. But it is a geoloic fact that they mainted a diet of plants etc, espically in the winter months as hunting was to difficult, and they had absoultly no way of storing anything killed. So its possible that in wamer weather, they had meat..but most of the time was raw everything.

    I should retract part of my statement about the abudance of meat during the paleozoic time era. There was meat...deer, grass graizing animals..unlike the meat we eat today.However the mainstay of the Caveman Diet was fish, fruit, berries and nuts. I also understand that thier lifespan would most likely be the same as ours due to technology we have and they did not.

    As a New Englander, I'd have to go with the Geek. I am quite the carnivore, and although I love my sushi and rare Omaha steaks, burgers, chicken and pork are always well done.

    Oh come on Ryan, diseases have far more roots than simply eating cooked foods. Some are genetic, some come from certain vitamin or mineral deficiencies. Some are inherited. Some are acquired by airbourn, water bourn, or food bourn transmission.
    Some can be transmitted by bug bites or rabid animal bites.
    How about herbivorous animals? None of them cook their food. Are they prone to diseases?
    What about penacillin? It's a mold that grows on raw plants. Can you get sick if you eat it? Are there plants that you can get sick from eating. If an animal deficates on some plant can you acquire a disease by eating the fruits?
    Syphillus was a monkey disease that got transmitted to humans by a bite.
    One of the greatest inventions in the world was cooking. Not only did it make food more palatable but it killed pathological bacteria and worms that caused diseases. It greatly improved the survivability of the human race not to mention it prevented a host of diseases.
    I think the greatest discovery in the world is communication. Some say it was the wheel. Nay I say, for somewhere a monkey invented the wheel. He just didn't have the means to communicate it.

    The Research Projects With Raw vs. Cooked Foods That Led To The Closing Of The Tuberculosis Sanitariums All across America In The Forties:


    The Cat Experiment:
    In the late 1930s and early 1940s researchers took 900 cats and did an experiment with them that lasted almost 10 years. Researchers divided the nine hundred cats into two groups and feed them both the identical diet, the only difference being that half of them were fed raw food and half of them were fed cooked food. The half that were fed raw food had no physical problems the entire length of the experiment and no birthing defects. But those that were fed cooked food developed heart disease, cancer, kidney and thyroid disease, pneumonia, paralysis, loss of teeth, arthritis, birthing difficulties, diminished sexual interest, diarrhea, irritability, liver problems, and osteoporosis, the same diseases in our human cooked food culture. But it gets even worse, the first generation of cats fed on the cooked foods were sick and abnormal; the second generation were often born diseased or dead, and by the third generation they were sterile; they could not reproduce. Over 25% of young adults (male and female) in America are sterile, which has been traced to the continuos use of foods in which atoms and enzymes were destroyed by cooking, microwaving or pasteurizing. Do you see the handwriting on the wall? Problems that we used to consider old age problems like diabetes, arthritis, and cancer, are now rampant in the younger generation. We now have juvenile diabetes. We now have juvenile arthritis. And the number one killer of children is cancer. Do you see the progressive degeneration of the human race?
    The Rat Experiment:
    Another experiment was done with rats. It was an identical experiment to the cat experiment, except it was done with three groups instead of two. The first group of rats received the food raw, and had no birthing defects or physical problems. In fact they had to put them to death at the equivalency of 80 human years and when they were autopsied they found no deterioration of body parts. The second group was given cooked food and not only did they experience all the physical problems as in the cooked food group of cats, but something else was very interesting. They noticed behavioral problems in that they were often stealing one anothers food and even attempting to kill one another. Does that sound like America 1998? We have no conception of the effects that diet and lifestyle have on behavior. The third group received the cooked food diet to the equivalency of forty years in humans and experienced all the physical breakdowns. Then they abruptly changed the diet and put them on the all raw diet. At the end of this initial period, all rats in this third group were placed on a strict fast with only water to drink for a period of several days. They then received the natural raw diet of the first group of rats. This diet was alternated with periods of fasting and within one month, the behavioral pattern had changed completely so that the now docile, affectionate, playful creatures were once again living together in a harmonious society. From this point on they never suffered any illness. But it gets better. Several rats were put to death and autopsied at the end of the initial period - revealing the same general deterioration as that exhibited in the second group of rats;. However, the remaining rats lived out the full duration of the experiment to the equivalency of eighty years in humans. When they were autopsied there was no sign of aging or deterioration or disease, just as in the first group. The obvious disease degeneration and deterioration of body parts evident in their first half of life had been completely reversed and they were now in excellent health, God gave us a marvelous body with the ability to actually reverse physical problems and rebuild organs. We have even seen spinal disks rebuilt. It is a most amazing thing. When we stop putting in the cooked food diet start giving the body the nourishment God designed. The old cells die and are replaced with new cells from the superior nutrients, we can see even the reversal of the aging process. All we have to do is change from the cooked food diet to Gods diet.
    Based on these experiments, the director of the tuberculosis sanitariums started in New York and went across the country to California pulling out the stoves and ovens, replacing them with commercial juicers, telling everyone that they could drink all the juice they wanted. Each sanitarium closed within six weeks and by six months all the sanitariums across the country were closed because of the lack of patients.

    God was a meat eater,he didnt intend for us to eat just raw foods and you really cant compare rats or cats to humans.60 minutes ran a special on raw food diets,what they showed was doing so to cleanse the body,for a period of two weeks I think it was,they werent doing it as a lifestyle,they did show people who were following the diet for years and I must say,these were some of the most discusting looking people I have ever seen,they all looked like they were dying of some disease,also doctors were saying that certain vegtables needed to be cooked to 140 degrees or the vitamins and minerals would and could not be absorbed by the body.Its nice that you like and believe in what you are doing,but you are becoming cult like in your constant pushing of this lifestlye on to people,if you like it fine,I think most are sick of these super long posts we dont care for.

    Yeah I have heard all the bullshit about tomatoes get more lycopene when cooked. Well, the doctors didn't say anyhting about all the other thousands of vitamens that became denatured, deranged, coagulated, and unusable due to cooking? What about all of the enzymes that are killed ?

    How do we know that a tomato doesn't have just the right amount of lycopene just the way it is.

    The doctors are not looking at the whole picture. They are looking at 1 piece of a puzzle that has many thousands of pieces. Don't let the close-mindedness of a doctor on TV rub off on you.

    PPS - Demi Moore, Woddy Harrilson, Robin Williams, Brian Adams and Alicia Silverstone all follow the raw-food diet and they look healthy to me.

    Actually, I found just the opposite, I'd say 95% of what I read on the internet about raw-food, the authors are promoting the diet and lifestyle but rarely selling any products themselves. It's hard to sell fruit & vegetableds over the interenet, as they can be found in any supermarket/health food store. Some places sell books, juicers, ect. but hey they have to eat too, right ? I DO NOT get the impression the people putting up MOST raw-food websites are solely out trying to make money, it's more of a passion. You wouldn't understand.

    You are only looking at one piece of a larger puzzle, look at it as a whole. Don't be close minded. Not all people are out to make money. There are people out there (me for 1) that just want people to be healthy, happy, and respect animal life, our planet, our future, and our children. This world could be so much better than it is now. Americans are the fattest, sickest, unhealthiest, greediest, most-murderous, most insane, most unnatural people in the world. America has the most murderds per capita in the world, the most insane people in the world, the highest rate of heart-attacks in the world, the HIGHEST RATE OF DIVORVE IN THE WORLD. This needs to change. I am not here to make a quick buck. I do not value money, I am not "selling" anything. I just want people to know the truth, fight it as you may. You all know deep down what I am saying is true. I knew it too when it was presented to me, and I fought it too, because like they say "the truth hurts" Change is hard, buy it can be done. I have done it. Change takes perseverence, people are lazy. They would rather try to proove the truth wrong than accept that it is THEY that are wrong.

    I'm sorry but makeup, implants, dildo's and snowblowers will matter little when man extincts himself off this planet. All the little jokes are cute, and make you all feel clever, but seriously, people these days are living in a dream world, it's time to wake up.

    So americans have the highest number of murders because we eat meat,fat?No I would have to say,more so the answer might be that americans are greedy,lots of money here,greed murder,lots of people murder here for insurance policies,money,not because their minds are messed up from eating meat(except maybe dahmer)I wonder I heard gary busy has been doing this diet for years too,he looks great,was also wondering what happened to poor allicia siverstone,thought she was looking sickly lately,compared to her clueless days,she also looks much older than she should for 26,oh well to each their own.You never did answer saphires question.

    Once during a very stressful final in Biology class, our professor took a long look at at the whole class and said:

    "You know, we are all gonna die."

    I took my final and decided that nothibg was really worth trippin' over. To just live and enjoy every second.

    On that note, I'll go even further and say that my greates discovery is that I am multiogasmic. And that there are guys out there willing to give pleasure while you are eating a sundae or having a beer.

    Ryan..Man will extinct himself no matter what he or she eats. It's called evolution! thats it end of story. So ladies cook it up..The only thing that ryans diet will get you is a bad case of gas, and a skinny little body (good for gals, but not for guys) Eat Meat..and Cook it too.

    Just one more thought. All your doing Ryan is trying to promote some silly ideas you somehow managed to get in you silly little head. Your talking about pieces of the puzzle? then why dont you take a good look at it. I understand that your being open minded, and thats great for you! if your raw diet works for you then great. But it will only last so long. Raw is not law not here and not in nature. Even animals will eat cooked food wether it be from a volcanic eruption, lightning etc..they are opertunists not dogmas. P.S. Apply simple common sense: if cooked food really is toxic, then we would all have died long ago.

    I have respect for people who know their field whether or not I have respect for the field. I also don't feel like going through previous posts and collecting quotes...Where are your references for your Dec 8th post? I'm no doctor. I've only got a BS in psychology, but rats are my 'thing'. I know that rats are very picky about their diets in the sense that they are intrinsicly aware of the fact that they are physiologically incapable of vomiting. Older rats will actually wait for younger ones to sample a new food first. If that rat survives, the older ones will then partake. Sudden changes in the diet of rats will definitely cause changes in their behavior. I also pay very little attention to any study done before approximately 10 years ago (unless it's the Conrad prison experiment ). You're also making correlations that don't exist. You mention divorce without relating it's relevance to the food we eat. For a little light reading from an only somewhat credible source, I recommend The Moral Animal. Why We Are The Way We Are: The New Science of Evolutionary Psychology by Robert Wright. That will get you thinking. You also claim to not be selling anything. Why is the link in your initial post to an 'online superstore'? I didn't even bother looking around when I saw that. If your intention is truely to get us to take you seriously, don't throw it at us like this and then accuse us of being 'closed minded'.

    Ryan - I am glad that you posted this information. I just went to your site. I think that it is very interesting. I do love meat though and every now and then it is impossible for me to resist a winchelles donut made with refined everything.
    I had a friend who worked at a raw food retreat for a while in San Diego and she looked great during that time in her life.

    Ryan, America has the highest murder, insanity rate in the world? What about all the Iraqis, Ugandans, Rhodesians, and any of a number of petty dictatorships that murdered their own people?
    You know , the Indians had a practice of cutting their finger off if a love one died. To them it was normal. By whos' criteria do you consider Americans the most insane?
