    Default Hair removal

I have been shaving my more intimate areas for some time and wonder if there is a better way. You know, less irritation, last longer, etc. Can anyone help?

If waxing irritates you to much, then laser hair removal can be another avenue as well.

Personally, tho' I wax and always will. However since you have been saving heaps.. waxing your intimate areas might hurt more for you than me. Waxing helps makes the roots of the hair weaker whereas shaving just makes them stronger (as you aren't getting the root like you do with waxing).

Thanks, AussieVee. Do you suggest a particular product?

woo, I'd be careful with the cream though. I did that a few years ago down there and left it on a couple of minutes longer than I should've because it started to eat the hair under my skin and I got left with painful little red scabs. waxing is good but it's tough to be a dancer when it's growing back so I always used to shave. If you want it permanent, I would say save your money and go for the laser

What hurts more waxing or lasering?

laser hurts WAY worse than waxing. I had some laser hair removal done and it hurts pretty freakin bad. It's like the difference between getting your blood drawn and getting a tattoo.

Nevertheless, with the newer hair removal lasers being more permanent than the old ones, I think it's worth the pain.

One doc did a cool thing with a popsicle made with just water...he numbed the skin with the ice popsicle then lasered. It really killed the pain and I would recommend this to whoever does it because they might not know this little trick.

I shave my bikini area completely every day, and I have fairly sensitive skin, so I get pretty bad razor burn. I'm currently using an aftershave cream with cocoa butter, but it's not helping me get as smooth as I'd like. any suggestions?

Tend Skin works really well to prevent razor burn and ingrown hairs.

You apply it right after shaving or waxing.
