    Default arm shaving

    Hey ladies,
I have a question. Should I shave my arms? Its not really that noticeable but I am starting dancing on monday and I was curious if you guys think it looks better with no hair anywhere(except on your head)
    Thanks

If your hair is light, I wouldn't worry about it. I have blonde arm hair and I think it is cute. Actually, I would only shave my arms if my hair was really thick and dark. Its just more maintenance to worry about. You would probably have to shave everyday. Ever felt prickly arm hair? Yuck! I know a lot of girls do shave their arms though.

i have shaved my arms since highschool (despite the fact the hair was light) and i LOVE it!!! now i shave once a week, and over time it seems as though i shave LESS...weird i know. There is nothing like the feeling of shaved arms inside a really nice shirt or warm sweater! ~one gals opinion!

Personally, I don't like hairiness at all. I hate when I see a beautiful girl and then look at her arms and see a bunch of hair - light colored or not. To me, it's just kinda manly. I've shaved mine since I was 14 (I'm 19 now). So, yeah, that's my 2 bits.

If your hair isn't light, wax it. Shaving is gross when I comes back and you have to do it every day. Prickly arms aren't good either. I've been waxing my arms for a couple months now and the hair's already really sparse.

Hmmm. I never shave mine. It's very thin and light and I really don't notice it. I figured if I can barely see it from a foot away or so, then chances are no one else can see it either.

I have used epil-stop on them once, I am lazy. It was really nice to have them smooth and it lasted for like two or three weeks.

I agree that a women should be hairless and so would like to eventually get everything electrolysised away.

I've been waxing my arms for years now. The hair grows back pretty sparse, so I only do it 3 or four times a year. The only bit of advice that I have with it is to NOT shave it in the few weeks after you wax. While the hair grows back your arms will feel prickly until the hair gets longer. If you succumb to shaving you'll be forced to continue because when it starts to grow in it'll feel even more prickly more often since you'll be feeling a blunt edge of the hair shaft. It will also seem as if it's growing in faster because you'll be cutting it at the surface of the skin.

I believe that any form of hair removal that is not electrolysis is a waste of time and money.

Heidi, as for pain, it depends on both the area being done and on the persons tolerance of pain. As for prices it depends on were you go. Research the people in your area. I would recommend looking for the one with the most experience rather then the cheapest.

WAX WAX WAX. I wax my arms about once every other month and it's perfect. the hair comes back in really light in thinned out...and no stubble. I like them smooth and soft how they feel after. I have a great esthetician in Vegas who specializes in waxing, does it fast and painless (as painless as waxing can be...the faster the better) she is in Henderson though but her name is Melissa and her # is 525-2916...

Shave arm hair???!!!??? Good god, more work to do? I don't think so. Under arm hair...duh, regular arm hair? Why? Unless it's gross, and your'e looking like a grizzly bear, yes, take that hair off, but moi, shave my arms. Nah. I have dark hair, but my arms are naturally bleached from the sun. Even with arm hair my arms are silky smooth, so there's no point (ya know, except for the grizzly factor).

I had my arms waxed once for fun at my girlfriend salon for free. I have blondish arm hair too but I tan better without arm hair. Plus I think if you have dark arm hair it's a must!! Too masculine :-/

Yep! Shaving since waaay before I started dancing! My arms look so soft and touchable. If I was blonde (naturally- heh heh) I think I might leave it alone, unless it was wretchedly hairy.

i agree w/ kobi, if it's light, dont touch it. it IS really cute, i think. i shaved most of my body in high school for swimming, including my arms. after that i let it grow out. it's naturally brown and kind of thick but not disgusting thick, and i just bleach it and it looks fine. i use Jolen bleach. i might try waxing it though, francesca planted the idea in my head

Yea I have alot of arm hair...not really gross but it's dark. Anyway, I find myself shaving my arms in the summer. They feel sooooo good and soft. I just find myself rubbing my arms all the time. I guess shaving my arms in the winder wouldnt' do to much harm.
