    Default ???Bikini Area

I want to audition at a club in about two weeks and I have a problem. I usually shave my bikini area but it starts growing back in about two days. I want to try waxing or using Nad's but I don't know how effective it is. I also heard that waxing can give you ingrown hairs. :-/ What do you ladys do about yours? I really need so advice on this.

I shave everyday. If you Nair, be careful not to get any on the "sensitive" area. Ouch!

WAX IT! It hurts but I'm sure you're tough. It's SO worth it. Get a solution like Tend SKin or something with salacylic acid to exfoliate and you are good to go. Everyone's hair growth is different but of the girls I have talked to about this, waxing seems to give consistent results. Look for an upscale spa that uses a honey wax or a poetic wax. It bonds to the hair and not the skin so it doesnt hurt as bad, plus they will probably do a high quality job. It's pricey..... BEWARE! So worth it though, I promise!

I shave daily and hate it!! It looks good for the night but after that I get bumps and ingrown hairs. I want to try waxing but I always blow my money. Maybe one day I can share my waxing experience with you all. But until then.. it's the Mach 3 Turbo.

I had it lasered! I have dark pubes and used to shave and be prone to razor burn. About a year ago I started lasering the hair off. Yeah, it's expensive, but almost none of the hair grew back and I was able to shave right after treatments and it got rid of the razor burn too! With waxing you have to wait for it to grow out, but with lasering you can shave and still have it zapped successfully if it's very short. One thing though: PLEASE research who you go to. I met a girl who went to the wrong place and got rectangular burn scars. Also, there are different lasers for different skin tones with varying degrees of effectiveness. I used Epi-Light.

Go buy a good quality epilator. They make 'em for legs, underarms and those sensitive areas we all love to get jiggy with.
They remove hair from the root and some are recommended to be as effective as to remove hair 0.5mm long (I kid you not - 'tis true!).
Yup, it may hurt an eensy bit but as they say - "pain is beauty". And in the long run it is cost effective too (espec. if you splash out on a quality one).

An epilator? Down there? You must have one tough cookie! I've used one on my legs, and it hurts there - quite a bit until you have used it a while and you become used to it, but you couldn't pay me enough to use it on my underarms or kitty - and what if skin got caught in those little rotating disc tweezer thingys....yikes!

You could always use an epilator with an ice pack to numb the skin (like Philips Satin Ice) and what I also do is I pull the skin around my muff quite taut so that it lessens the pain whilst epilating.
I know, it hurts at first but it ain't so bad now and the results are definitely worth it (beats razor bumps any day!).
Heck, plucking my eyebrows was a nightmare when I first started it too but now I don't feel a thing! Epilation can only get better!

I shave the bikini area every that day it actually matters. I get no ingrown hairs or bumps! I use gillete daisy plus razors with whatever type of soap. i think my cookie is just so used to being shaved that it never gets irritated any more.

I could not imagine using an epilator done there :o!! I once plucked a single pubic with my tweezers and it hurt enough to bring tears to my eyes! If I had the extra cashola I would go ahead and get lazered down to a landing strip, just so I would not have to worry about being amorous after a couple lazy days.

I shave (Venus) and follow up with TendSkin. I am seriously considering getting lasered as I've heard that going for $75 (!!!) a session here in Reno. I need to really research those places first, though. But bare without the fuss... oh yes!

Tendskin can be bought online, I've never seen it stocked where I live.

I stopped using it when I found that Salycilic acid (the main ingredient) is available in all kinds of other products for a lot less money.
Look at the ingredients in different acne preparations.
I use Aveeno facial wash bars instead of shower gel with sal acid and I also use neutrogena skin toner.
Don't use it immediately after a shave though, it'll send you through the roof!

tendskin is a great product for preventing ingrown hairs and razor bumps. apply it right after waxing or shaving.

true, the ingredients are nothing special, but for some reason their recipe works better than anything I've ever used
