I like to eat and I hate restricting my food in any way. Fortunately I like fruit and vegetables and eat them a lot, but dammit, when I want cheese fries I have to have them! I'll never stay slim and trim unless I work out to compensate for the food.

Now I just have to figure out when I'm going to the gym when I work 13 hours a day and spend 45 minutes driving each way. I'm going to shoot for 4 days a week at an hour a day. Don't know if I'd rather go at night when I'm tired or in the morning when I'm exhausted!
Always remember little things add up, like doing jumping jacks or calf raises.... I like to do squats while I brush my teeth, I get tons of compliments on my legs since I started doing it. Another thing is if you don't hit the gym in the morning then take your clothes with you, stop on your way home, you won't go if you go home first.

    Currently I take 9 pills of HydroxylCut + 2 pills of B12 a day

Trying not to eat any sweets or "junk" food. For breakfast I would have 1/2 pack of Oatmeal 75kcal. and then after classes I eat the other half of the pack of oatmeal... and in the evening my diet is ruined cause I cook dinner for my bf....

Hey girls, I would love to jump on the band wagon with you!
I have 25 pounds to lose, and mostly I just need support/motivation with my dieting. I go to the gym 4 days a week and so far i've had no difficulty sticking to that because i love working out, but I EAT like a pig.
I'm living at home right now (since i'm going to school full time) and my step mom is on weight watchers so there's no bad food in my house (literally) but for me its portion sizes and snacking where I get into trouble. Any tips?
I've been at it a month and i've lost 3 pounds...i'm starting to look better, but the weight doesn't seem to be coming off as fast as it should maybe?
Grr let me know what you think girls.

Tiff maybe your gaining muscle while losing fat, trying measuring yourself, inches matter more than a few lbs

    Current weight: 124
Goal: 115 (110 actually, but 115 would make me happy)
    Height: 5'2

Had my babygirl 6months ago, and have lost 35lbs since then.
I can`t take anything becouse I`m breastfeeding - unless someone knows something I can take that won`t hurt my daughter?

I workout to the "A New Dimension" Cindy Crawford video for getting back intp shape after having a baby, it has 3 dif. workouts and I do the 45min one which has some cadio and some other stuff.
I try and take a walk, up a few steap hills, which my daughter at least one time a day. My average time is about 30mins each walk becouse I get bored easy.
I do 100 crunches every night before bed.

I try and eat healthy, my main problem is I eat when I get bored - and being a SAHM I`m home bored alot.

I work out 6 days a week right now, anywhere from 1.25 hours to 3 hours depending a day (spread throughout) on how much time I have. Like I'll do cardio/weights in the am and then pilates or yoga in the evening.

Oh, I also got Billy Blanks BootCamp and it's a GREAT toning/fat burning workout!

Right now the only supplements I am using are Myoplex Lite protein shakes, CLA (6000mg a day), still on prenatal vitamins b/c they make my skin and hair pretty. I am a former user of hydroxycut but honestly I have been having to remind myself to eat lately so I don't need any type of diet aid right now.

I am going to get my bodyfat tested at the gym tomorrow. I like to measure my success by bodyfat% and inches rather than weight. I am pretty muscular, my lowest weight was 130 (i'm 5'7") but my BF% was 13% and I was a size 2 then. Anyway, I think I look best as a size 4 and around 16-17%BF so that's my goal!

Wow, my baby is 14 weeks and I find I am WAY too busy with her to even find time to eat much less be bored. But she is colicky so I am constantly trying to soothe her.

Ha, yeah, it's a challenge, but I make it a priority! I'm lucky to have lots of options. If she is crashed out, I go to the gym (either leave her with dad or take her to the gym daycare). We also live in an apartment with a very nice fitness room, so sometimes I'll put her in her stroller after she's eaten (she's happy then) and go down and run on the treadmill. I also have lots and lots of workout DVDs, like the BootCamp, Winsor Pilates, Yoga, etc. I do my workouts in chunks throughout the day. Usually my 3 hour workout days are when Dad has his days off and not at work.

Coming from a family that likes to eat makes this very hard for me sometimes, like last night was Bryan's birthday (my SO) and I went down to dinner with his parents and when I start ordering my food with no cheese his mom starts making comments about how thin I am.... and when I brought up losing another 20lbs I have to hear that too. Honestly I just find ways to avoid my family when I'm dieting, it really helps that Bryan is a super healthy eater and cooks for me too.

Protien shakes are a great idea always! I'm a huge fan of the new lower sugar oatmeal, it really doesn't taste too bad/

For those wating protein shakes....I've mastered it so it's something I look forward to every day.

You need like 2 cups of frozen fruit (I like strawberries and blueberries), a little liquid (I usually use milk) and 2scoops of vanilla prtein powder. When it's in the blender, it's going to start out dark colored like the berries, but then put it on high speed and start blending air in it. The volume increases dramatically and it makes a mousse that basically fills the blender....and fills you up.

Also, I heard that cinnamon is an appetite suppresant, so I've been slicing apples and sprinkling it on. That's a good snack that leaves you satisfied.

I've also gone back to my crockpot. I put chicken breasts in until cooked, and then add brown rice. It's so easy and if you are feeling creative, add spices. I'm not that creative, so I add simmer sauces that I get from Trader Joe's.

I hate to cook, but I like eating in because I can control what I eat.

and I'm glad this thread is revived. I wish it worked out the first time. I lost a few lbs but I still have more to do.

Sounds like my nightly dinner...chicken breast, brown rice, broccoli. Atleast 4 nights a week. Been doing this for 2 years. Yeah it's boring but it's easy.

That new reduced sugar oatmeal is really good, esp the brown sugar cinnamon. I love it! As far as protein shakes go, I was doing that for a while just b/c they were tasty and I stopped.....I really need to go back to that. I don't know why I even stopped, but I'm going to go buy some stuff and starting doing that again.

    Here's my scary facts:

    CW... 157
    GW... 130-135
    Ht: 5' 4"

When I was at my highest I was 175...I gained 25+ lbs after one of my brothers died 3yrs ago and never really bothered giving a shit (about my weight) until a yr ago. But even at that, I was miserable with my job, family and with some of my friends, so i wasn't motivated to really do anything. Plus, the job that I hated was a office job and I literally sat on my ass all day long. My current job now requires a lot of running around a huge building and going up and down stairs. That has already helped a lot. I'm also more motivated to come home and go on my treadmill or do a tape or sit-ups etc. I'm just eating healthier in general. I'm not sticking to a particular diet, I'm just not eating all the food I see. If my bf wants Burger King, I have him pick me up a turkey sub from somewhere else, instead of eating from wherever he wants. I've also found some pretty good and EASY meal ideas and recipes from DeniseAustin.com and her various books.

My biggest problems are my inner thighs and belly, so if anyone has any tips, let me know.

Yes, I agree with Hello_Kitty27 and the lady before her - the oatmeal is great. Although even witht the rduced sugar, it still has more of it than I would like:/

A funny fact about oatmeal: I had eated Weis brand Oatmean "Strawbery" kind - there is no real strawberries at all in it, just a pieces of some red, gum like material

As it says in most of the fitness literature, it is difficult to loose the weight on a specific spots - the weight usually comes of everywhere But, of course you may try old fachioned sit-ups for belly - makes it a bit more flat.

And drinking a lot of water heps if you start feeling very hungry at some point of the day

Just do all the right things you were doing so far:*

    good idea, candice

That's another side benefit of the gym in dieting...it puts you in healthmode, so you can keep going.

And you are right about posting your weight. When I was on Weight Watchers, that was probably the single most important thing is that someone else would be weighing me. It held me accountable to someone else, which can be easier than being held accountable to yourself.

That is great, Candice, you seem to be really strong-willed and determined lady You should be proud of yourself!

Do you have any favorite exercises in the gym?

this morning I was making pancakes with chocolate soy-milk, pudding, etc (really good ) and although they were for my bf , I eat a couple of them too - shame on me... will have to do more sit-ups later today...

    Take care
