Default good workouts for nursing sag?

Hi! I have to say I've been enjoying myself a lot at this site...so much information. I do have a question, but first I'll introduce myself, and share some of my story. I have never danced before (at least not professionally... , but I have always wanted to. I am engaged and have an 11-month old daughter (his).
We both finally decided it's time to really start working on our mile-long lists of goals, the first being classes at the art institute for him, yoga teacher training for me.
He is very supportive of me in whatever I do (I was surprised at the positivity of his response pertaining to stripping, I really thought he'd be somewhat threatened.) Our finances have been rocky lately, which led me to stripping.
Now that I've rambled, I'll get to my question: Are there any other options for fighting the sag that comes with breast feeding (without an adequately supportive bra) besides surgery? I'd happily get implants after I finish nursing my daughter (I really got used to D-cups [boobies]), but it doesn't seem like it would work out all that well right now. My fiancee has been working with me on curls, and some kind of press, but I'm not seeing very quick results. I'm confident that if I can just find the right exercise (the one that gives that nice burn and really targets the chest muscles) I could really shape them up (I usually see excellent results fairly quickly with anything.. I actually wanted to start stripping much sooner after the birth of my daughter. Couldn't lose the weight. I started eating more, and it practically fell off in about 2 weeks, with breast feeding and walking being my only consistent workout. Guess I was blessed? ).
Anyway, thanks for patiently reading through this.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately "sag" if you will, can not be repaired by building the muscle - the breast itself is NOT a muscle.
You can firm the base or support on your musculature behind the breast but it will not effect the actual tissue sag.

I would refrain from judging your problem so early after the baby - your skins elasticity may retract and conitue to retract bringing your breast shape back somewhat but if you went up to a D during pregnancy what where you before?

    Heredity too is a factor.

Implants or a lift will probably be your best recourse in this situation. Some women though have a very good record of their breasts returning to previous shape with minimal sag following babies BUT it remains to be seen?
Everyone being different - many factors will come into play - age, skin elasticity and the amount of swell - how long you breast feed etc. is this your first child etc.

Keep working out though the overall benefits are more than just appearance linked!
    BTW? Congratulations!

Your breasts will lose some support after baby and breast feeding. A good support bra to further help the muscles not having the weight pulling on them helps alot!

Also pec. exersises helps alot. I use 5lb. dumbells while laying on my back. Bring them up to my front of chest, and back down to the floor slowly. This does nothing for your breasts, they are what they are. But building a little muscle tone around the breasts helps with a little lift.

A support bra can be a ladies best friend!

As can (if willing) a breast lift. (surgical lift).

    Good luck.

I live with underwire bras, tight straps and weights!
    It does help!

Leigh Landon: I had a good response all ready to go, and then I accidentally deleted it.. oops!
Anyway, here goes: They have, slowly; been getting a little better and I expect they will continue to, at least until they're in almost the shape they were before (C cup, shape not the best, but nice). I'm sure that for them to look the way I'd like, a BA is necessary, but since I'm still nursing, and eventually plan on having more kids (I haven't come across a lot of info. pertaining to nursing with implants. Probably it would make sag?), right now I'm just focused on helping to accelerate the process of making them passable again Don't think I'd get hired right now, due to early nursing difficulties. (Assymetry- It hurt too much to feed her off of one side early on, and I'm told I should consider myself lucky it makes milk at all now. But that will go away when my daughter is weaned.)
As far as heredity, I'm just hoping she'll be kind...

Pamela: Do you have any suggestions in the way of good support in a bra? It doesn't neccessarily have to open for nursing, if it's low cut, or opens in front, I can make due... I've had a suprisingly difficult time even finding bras that fit a D or larger, let alone with good support.

the best exercise by far to lift your breasts up are decline presses, either with dumbells or a reg. bar. You can also do flyes or pec dec's to work the sides and reg. bench presses or inclines for the upper part. This is what worked for me, but eventually I wanted my girls bigger so I went with implants.

I agree about the excercises. I have large boobs and those excercises make a big difference in appearance, even if they don't affect the actual tissue.

Also you need to wear a good support bra. The tissue can't mend itself if it's constantly being pulled on. Fredericks of Hollywood has good big boob bras, but generally I can't find anything at WalMart either.

I find doing men's style push ups very slowly helps. As an added bonus, it also gets rid of those flappy upper arms we hate! Even though the breasts are not muscle, building the muscle under them does help them to be more "perky".

Charlotte, sorry so late getting back to this topic.
I had to wear tight workout bras. Get a stretchy one a tad smaller than your breasts.

They are comfortable, no underwire, and will flex with you. You know....The runners bra. Any sports store has them...Cheap.

My doctor mentioned this after i had my baby....What a god send. Sometimes i slept in it. Put in bra pads so no leakage came through.

It helped sooo much! And along with lying on my back and doing free weights up together and back down to the floor was all i needed. Nothing fancy.

    I love my breasts!

Focused workouts and support bras will help prevent your "deflated" breasts from getting any more saggy, but Leigh is right that breast tissue itself has no muscles to firm up. Therefore nothing short of breast implants is going to restore the firmness to your actual breasts themselves. Actually, you sound like the perfect candidate for DD cup implants, which would tighten up your breast skin again and restore that "teenage" roundness and firmness.

At this point, it seems to me that the tissue is ok, minimal damage if any. I know I lack pectoral tone, and the skin is in pretty bad shape. Skin usually tightens back up quite a bit with lots of exercise, right? (I'm only 21, so I wouldn't think it'd be that hard.) BTW Pamela: Yours are great. Mine aspire to them.

you're only 21? odds are good you may just come out of this unscathed!!

Pamela - I LIVE in sport bras!!! They are the bomb. I too buy them one cup smaller just to give it that extra support that only a snug fit will.

I have all kinds or real purty ones...and they NEVER get worn LOL! Unless of course uh well maybe I want a particlur someone to see me in em....heh heh!

But ya sport bras that really heavy thick strecthy cotton stuff, ya man YAH!!!
    LOL!

Keep it up Charlotte!!! They will be fine.
    Thank you.
I, like Leigh live in them, only my boobs are a 38c. But i still need the support. I was pregnant 3 times, to give birth to one. But the other two carried until 3rd trimester. Breasts where already filling up. So i have to do my best to support them. some sag is normal, god knows i have it! But sports bras are my twins best friend!

    Good luck hun,
    Pamela

First off, I'd like to thank everyone for all the help. [dazzled]I've been pretty shy on cash these days, so I haven't been able to go out and buy a sports bra, but I did happen to have a support nursing bra lying around and now that it's a cup size too small, it actually feels like it's holding things up ok.
Second~ Unfortunately, I'm fairly ignorant about excercise ??? (hence the lack of good shape prior to pregnancy) and I'm having trouble finding information that explains how to do these excercises. Does anyone know of site that breaks things down for people who aren't even sure what the weights are called? (hee hee.. )
Third~ I have been doing the excercise that Pamela suggested and it's very encouraging to hear that it works!
    Thanks, everyone!

I was gonna suggest www.worldfitness.com but I tried getting on there the last couple of days and the board is shut down due to malicious activity (or so it said...) they had all kinds of advice, some with pics and they also had links to sites that were all pics on how to do certain exercises, on form and correct ways to do them....

maybe it'll be back up soon?

[color=Blue]Pamela~ I tried the site and found it to be somewhat confusing ??? (probably things weren't loading right, I'm working on a 28K here... lol... sad little plastic paperweight...< smilie kicking computer goes here>) but I'll try again. I was also pregnant twice before having my daughter, and I carried her twin until 8? wks. BTW I like the new picture.

Everyone: Thanks for all the help! I am finally seeing [glow=red,2,300]noticable [/glow](Shane, my fiancee noticed) [glow=red,2,300]results.[/glow] I think it's the combo. I've been doing the excercise Pamela suggested, plus one Shane did, wearing a tight bra (still a nursing bra, but helping nonetheless.), using a skin firming lotion (actually does reduce the appearance of cellulite, I've been using it everywhere. ) eating better, and getting more cardio than ever (my daughter is starting to walk, and is resisting sleep.). I think time is taking it's course as well, but I'm sure glad to think I'm helping to accelerate it.
    Again, thanks so much!
    [puke]<- I just thought this
