    Default Makeup Routine

    Hey Ladies!

Just wondering what your makeup look is. What colors and techniques do you use for your eyes, lips, etc.
I would to hear from all of you, especially NYCJacqueline, who I read, is a makeup artist.

I want that nice sultry look that will look well under the stage lights and that will last throughout the night, no racoon eyes, and bleeding lips, etc.

    Thanks!

I make sure my foundation is as flawless as possible. Since my eyes are brown, I use different shades of dark green and blend them together for highlighting. I use a muted shade of red for my lips and only a little blush. I'm usually too lazy for fake lashes so I just line black liner on my top and inner bottom lids and put on a few coats of black mascara.

    1. Clinique Gentle Light foundation.
    2. Lancome bronzer on cheeks, chin, nose, and forehead.
    3. Estee Lauder blush in cheek hollows.
    4. Arbonne concealer under eyes and on blemishes.
    5. MAC loose powder.
    6. Clinique eye shadow base.
    7. Estee Lauder smokey black eyeliner around eyes, inside upper eyelid, and all of the way up to the crease.
    8. Lancome silvery gray eye shadow over all black eyeliner.
    9. A nude color from crease to brow.
    10. More concealer under eyes (with a little moisturizer if dry)
    11. Blow dry eyelash curler to get it hot.
    12. Curl eyelashes.
    13. 2-3 coats of Lancome Deficils mascara.
    14. Clear or light pink lip gloss (Lancome Juicy Tubes or Clinique lip gloss in Whispers)

I like the smokey eyes look, like Paris Hilton. My skin is tan and my hair is platinum so it looks good IMHO.

Wow Kobi, you use a lot of different brands. Why is it that you don't stick to one? I use Cinique everything, here's my list:

    Foundation-Stay True Makeup, Oil-Free: 13-True Bronze
Blended Face Powder & Brush: 10-Transparency Bronze
    Rich Texture Blush: 03-Rich Tawny
    Quick Eyes-Eye Pencil/Smugger: 02-Black
Pairs of Shades-Eye Shadow Duo: 39-Lovey Dovey
High Impact-Eye Shadow Duo: 07-The Blues
    Lash Curling Mascara: 01-Black
Long Last Soft Shine Lipstick: Glow Bronze
Long Last Soft Shine Lipstick: Black Violet

I am not very good at applying my eyeliner though. Can anyone give me any tips?

I am a mutant and Clinique and MAC foundations *destroy* my skin.. anyway...

I have dark brown hair, blue eyes and fair skin naturally that I put B&BW face self-tanner on for some color... My look is sophisticated but a bit sultry, I guess
1.apply moisturizer and eye cream for puffiness. let it sink in about 10 minutes.
    2. Foundation: L'oreal Translucide in Buff (which the bastards Discontinued...) followed by matching concealer over any red spots. Foundation is applied with fingers and blended with a foundation brush.
3.Translucent powder on the T-zone followed by Benefit powder bronzer where the sun would hit. Lightly and with a big huge brush.
4.Lemon yellow powder (Jane eye zing) on eyes, pearly pink white on brow bone (MAC paints). MAC brown colour in the crease and upper lid along lashes, a bit of a warm brown (to bring out the blue eyes) at the edges and smudges underneathe. A thin line of liquid liner slightly extended, a bit of mascara, and some modest false lashes for some vavoom onstage.
5.Eyebrows, brush 'em into shape and slightly define them with a powder brow colour slightly lighter than my hair.
6.Light rosy blush on apples of cheeks.
7.Lipliner that matches my lip, followed by gloss.

    That's it.

My look is as much Femme Fatale as possible. I have black hair and black eyes, so what else is there for me?

I use Shiseido concealer as a foundation as well. When used as foundation I thin it down with water and moisturizer. I use no powder.

    I use black(crease and line), brown(lids) and white(highlighting)shadows.

Liquid liner with a white ovewr the line.

    False eyelashes.

    Lightly penciled brows.

Bronzer in contours followed by a dusky rose blush.

Lips are wine colored with a dab of white eyeshadow in the middle to make me stupidly pouty. Gloss for the insanely stupidly pouty lips.

Rave hair spray over the eyes. Close em!

    There you go.

I go for the sultry look (who doesn't?). I'm of Irish descent, thanks to my beloved Grandma, so I am a red head, with ultra fair skin and blue eyes. With my skin tone, I shoot for neutral tones and warm browns or greys. To make my face look proper in the lounge, I use the simple expedient of wearing far too much makeup. I look like a painted doll in the dressing room, but it fades under the dim lights to a perfectly made up face out in the lounge.

Concealer first, then creme foundation over. Brown eyeliner, dark charcoal eyeshadow on the lids feathered upwards, grey eyeshadow on the brow bone and white eyeshadow lining the top of my eye. Black mascara. Bit of rosy blush on the cheekbones and dark red-brown lipstick. I use MAC Paramount, applied thickly and then blotted gently for maximum wear. I shun lipliner, because my lips are already quite full and lipliner just makes them look too fat.

    Kianna Jayde's Make-up Routines: [idea]

I do my own make-up even thought they have a girl at my club who comes in and does dancers' make-up.

MAC Studio Finish Matte: Number NW45
MAC Studio Finish Concealor: Number NW45
A cute little beauty mark on my left side of my cheek
    MAC EyeBrow Pencil: Spiked
    MAC Cream Colour Base
False Lashes (gotta have them or I'll feel naked)
MAC Eye Shadow or Pigment Powder
    MAC Eye Liner
    L'oreal or Max Factor Mascara
optional: a little glitter to bring out my beautiful browns
    MAC Blush
MAC Lip Colors with lots of MAC Lip Glass (my lips are always full and voluptuous)

Do you see a pattern with my brand of make-up? But I do also use Lancome. [kisses]

Gotta look like an exotic Barbie, with that hint of baby doll.

I am a redhead with blue/green eyes and a pale complexion so makeup colors are always a treat for me.
For day I balance the effect of my eyes and mouth.
    EYES/BROWS:
I need to fill in the brows (darken lightly) with Loreal brow stick in Red Mahogany and highlight the brow bone with white eye shadow. Next I use a darker shade in the crease (usually browns, muted greens) and expand slightly to emphasize the almond shape of my eyes.

    LIPS:
I am addicted to red lips since I was a teenager. I think shades of berry look sultry with my shade of red hair. I need something on my lips or I look dead.

    FACE:
I skip foundation since I can never find shades to match and maybe little copperish blush..most of the products I use are from Just For Redheads (www.justforredheads.com)

    HAIR:
I use Sebastian's Colourshines by Cellophanes in Gleaming Copper to keep my natural shade rich and shiny. Pricey stuff but it works and contains no peroxide, ammonia or alcohol!! (www.sebastian-intl.com)

I'm a cheapo: I use a pharmacy brand (that you'll never hear of in USA) , some 3$ loose powder.
Blush (2$) and then I line my lips in dark brown, fill with caramel glossy (from loreal: the most expensive for me) , beige eye shadon on the lid and brown-green in the crease, 3 coats mascara black and I'm all done.
I was wondering: does the price matter??? I tried all those expensive brands in the past but I think it is more a matter of knowing HOW to apply it instead of using expensive stuff!
    just my opinion!

I usually am fairly subdued.. black false lashes, black liquid liner extended out a bit, black shadow smudged around the eyes, white shadow for highlight. Paler lipstick. It doesn't take much for me.. and I can get it all at CVS.

Actually, I took a stage makeup class in high school, (I'm an aspiring makeup artist, and fascinated with strippers...lol), and it's not so much the cost of the makeup...

    Take lipstick as an example:

The cheaper lipsticks (like Wet N Wild, which run from 88 cents to $1.49 per tube), contain fewer moisturizers than their more expensive counterparts (like Chanel, weighing in at over 20 bucks a tube...). So, with the fewer moisturizers, the lipsticks will basically dry out and leave a "stain" on your lips, which means less reapplying!

I'm crazy about make up. Never learned, although I was "painted" everyday when I was modelling but I bought tons of books and I love trying new looks.

I try to emmulate the sex kitten/pornstar look, lol. I get a lot of compliments on my eyes so I like to play them up the most. The look I have the most fun and make the most money with this look; big, flirty, sexy eyes (smokey makeup that I blend upward with dark shadow in the creases that make them look almost cat-like and fake lashes -a look I copied from some jenna jameson photos, and it just stuck). Since I really play up my eyes and make them very dramatic, I go very light on makeup elsewhere, except for a really wet-looking gloss on my lips. MAC all the way. It stays the longest.

What i like to do is get a porno or porn magazine and look at the girls who's make up i like and what girls skin tones match mine. Clip the pic's and keep in a scrapbook , I right down the details and how I think they did it. Take the list to your beauty supply store and try to find the make-up you think will get the same effect this way you can start a good make-up collection and you will have a lot of different make-up styles. I also recomend the Alexis Vogel system she's done make-up for playboy bunnies and sells a make-up kit and application guide with a video for make-up and hair she speacializes in the sexy cat-eye look. A good tip i learned from her is to break your make-up up in sections like Face(concealer, foundation, bronzer, blush, ect.) Lips(lipstick, gloss, liner) Eyes & Brows. Keep the make-up and application tools in ziplock bags marked wth scotch tape and magic marked one for Eyes & Brows one for Lips, and one for Face. I hope this helps it helped me. Good luck and have fun!!!

on just normal days i use:
    moisturizer (right now Mary kay)
estee lauder equalizing foundation in Linen
    Mark powder medium
    estee lauder mascara
    mark blush

On days when I actually go to work or do something special I go much heavier, with eyeliner, lipliner, etc. I mix my lipsticks all the time. Usually a dark mauve with a coral. Sounds strange but it turns out good.

I try to look as natural as possible because all the other girls at my club look so glam, and I'm an idiot when it comes to makeup. I can do well enough as anyone else, but not like the magazines. I'm also not willing to shell out $60 for the makeup girl to do me every shift. I wear a lot more at work than I would in public, and I do not wear foundation outside of work.

    --chanel moisturizer, hydramax +
    --mac hyper-real foundation
--mac studio fix for the broken cappillaries around my nose and zits on the chin, also used for minor touch up throughout the shift. For small bruises, it works great, too.
--mac hyper-real powder THIS STUFF IS AMAZING gives a youthful, dewey glow without looking too shiny; make sure to apply with a brush and not the provided sponge
--mac pink flurry blush or clinique blush (forget the shade)
--mac pink, gold, brown, or purple eyeshadows, or any shades combined
--mac pigment to highlight, vanilla and pink opal are my faves for the natural look but there's a gazillion of them
--victoria's secret, revlon, or mac lipliner w/ lip plumper from sephora (lip fusion) - since the lip plumer will leave welts on your cheeks on stage (from your hair sticking to your lips and then touching your skin) it is applied after stage, the body shop lip gloss works well for before the show. I blend the liner a little into the gloss.
--talika eyelash conditioner, from sephora, seems to help my lashes curl better
    --lancome mascara
--if my nails are waiting on a manicure, nailtique #3 for base, then sally hansen nail growth activator to tide me over. The sally hansen glows in the blacklight, so you can't really tell you're missing your manicure when it's applied evenly.

My cousin used to do this, too. It sets the eye makeup so it doesn't fade and stays put. I'm told by the sales reps that mac fix + works just as well, but I'm not a makeup artist.
