    Default leg-legnth differences

I am starting to notice that my left leg may be a *touch* shorter than my right leg. (I'm not sure about this)
I ALSO don't have a proper arch in my foot either- (flat feet) so I don't land evenly on the correct surfaces of the foot. I couldn't take ballet because of this.

For instance P Diddy who's 'running the city' for the kids in an NYC marathon had to have proper sneakers made for him since he had his gait analyzed and they told him he was not landing correctly on his arch, and it really DOES affect the WAY you walk and move.

My boyfriend says that my ass doesn't 'move' when i walk like other girls he sees and likes. (he's an ass man and it bothers me that he says my ass doesn't move)

How do you compensate for this? Do you lead with the longer leg or the shorter leg?

(I broke my leg in gymnastics in the formative years. I don't think you can SEE any limping per-say since it it minimal but I notice that I am not balanced when I switch to my left leg to walk..)

I think you probably need to see a specialist. I wouldn't know where to start, but I know that fallen arches and different leg lengths can't be very good for you. They can make personalized insoles for fallen arches, I think at "Good Feet" maybe. I'm no foot expert, but I definitely think you need to see a specialist and see what they have to say.

Maybe your but doesn't move as much cause those other girls have a lot of fat to jiggle!

It doesn't look like I limp or anything, but I think my gait is definitly affected. i wonder if you can get platforms with arch support?

What i notice when i walk is that my right leg and hip move up normal, but when i switch legs and put my left leg out in front to walk, my leg and hip don't go up as far as my right does. I look as if my right hip is slightly higher than my left hip!

Does anyone notice this on themselves?

I also have an ovarian cyst that I is growing in my left ovary. I am also thinking this could limit your movement??

I have had it looked at years ago when they told me it was benign-but i think it has grown bigger since then.

Actually I 'do' have 'too much jiggle' since I'm not in the shape you are in Kobi-- I'm upset that my BF is an 'ass man' and he tells me my butt doesn't move like other girls and he can't explain what is missing in my walk. He just says that my ass doesn't move with my thigh as I'm walking.

I don't think this is rare, but a broken leg in the formative years can make leg lengths not be equal. I had a college rommate who wore a lift in one shoe to balance things out. The non-jiggle may be a result of changed stride as you compensated. May be hard to change now. An expert knows, maybe a podiatrist or a real pro shoe salesman(but try to find one). As a cheap option try an adjustment on the height of an old pair of shoes and see if it makes a difference.

I hope I didn't come across as insensitive. I was just trying to make you laugh. I think if your boyfriend feels that way then it's one of those comments that he should just keep to himself because it obviously (and understandably) upsets you.

AS far as leg length, if one is not that shorter than the other. great! And yes...You can have ANY show special made for you foot/feet.

As far as your ass not moving when you walk, Most don't unless you have that walk!

A models trick that is both sexy and will make one cheek go up and one go down, when walking, put one foot directly in front of the other, repeat with other foot as you learn this 'new' type of walk.

It will make the hips move, which in turn makes your ass move back and forth.

May be tough at first and feel strange, but don't be too extreme when you first start, get used to the one foot going infront of the back one as you walk, and then it becomes sooo easy.

Great walk with sexy skirts/dresses too, because they swing with your movement!

LOL, Pamela! You beat me to that suggestion! Watch the Vickie's fashion show for a demo I was taught to fully cross one foot in front of another. A side benefit is that it also makes ones hips look a little narrower.

A few months ago I also noticed one of my legs was like half and inch to an inch longer than the other. At first, I thought my pants were put together wrong . I think it's normal. Just like it's normal to have one of your ears a little lower than the other... But, on the other hand, the school nurse said I had scroliosis when I was in jr. high. (but my real doctor said I didn't) so if I DO have it... that could be the problem??... I dont understand the ass moving thing?! Try swiviling your hips when you walk, right step, rotate right hip... left step, left hip.
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.
