I think I've gotten my first migraine.I've done some searching on the Internet and came to this conclusion.
It started Monday morning when I woke up. I felt horrible, so I checked up on SW, then went back to sleep hoping I'd feel better. I don't. I've had this headache (it's more than a headache) for 4 days now and I can't do anything. I'm miserable. All I've been doing is sleeping, watching TV, and getting on the computer when I can handle that. Right now it's painful, but I can still function (barely). When I stand up, bend down, sneeze, walk up the stairs, blow my nose, walk (basically any small physical movement) I am paralyzed! My brain is pulsating and I feel like something up there is going to burst. I literally can't move and have to stand there waiting for it to subside, hoping I don't pass out. This has been happening since Monday, all throughout the day. I can't sleep well. I am very sensitive to light and sound. My neck aches, my whole body aches. It's hard to think straight and sometimes I have to stop talking mid-sentence because it hurts to talk.
I read that migraines are genetic, and I know my mom and sister has had them. They threw up though. That's why I didn't think it was that at first, I haven't been puking. I have a very strong stomach though and have puked twice in the last 10 years. Although, I did feel a bit nauseous today. I found that you can have migraines without puking. I also read that they can last 4 days. This is the scary part, a couple peoples story I read said that they have lasted for months. One is a 25 year old female, she got her first one last April and it hasn't stopped. I don't want that to be me! I'm so scared. I can't work like this and I have to go to work this weekend to make ends meet. I don't have ins. and can't afford to see a Dr. right now. I'm not looking for pity, just advice. Please help!
