Default BMI-calculating scales, and tan lines!!

I was at the gym and they have this scale that will shoot electricity/lasers (?) in through your feet to calculate not only your weight, but body composition as well, and tell you your fat percentage (mine was 19%) BUT-
The lady there told me that unless you are "ideally" hydrated, these things are totally inaccurate?! Because the electricity travels through the water in your body, and if you are dehydrated it won't work as well. Which is something to keep in mind if you are like me and sweat and drink alcohol all night!!

Now I have done something stupid.. I accidentally got some tan lines over the last few days, the ones on my breasts are not that noticable due to tanning topless, but my booty is SO WHITE!! And it is really obvious, and I am worried about going under the blacklights tomorrow. Is there any "quick fix" for this??? I worry about using fake tanner because if it doesn't blend or darken PERFECTLY I think it will look even worse!! What should I try??

Have you ever heard of mystic tan? I'm going to try that pretty soon, it sprays it on you so it's even... Ive decided to never sun or booth tan again for my skin's sake
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.

I have actually used the mystic tan twice already. It is fast and easy but since it coats you with an even layer wouldn't the tan lines still be there? Since both "colors" of my skin would darken.

Maybe if I went in two or three days in a row??

As far as I know, any test for bodyfat% can be over or under about 3% depending on factors such as hydration, exercise before the test, food before the test. I usually get the trifold test with calipers.

I would do mystic tan. It won't totally cover your tan lines the first time but the will look a lot better. It won't be so obvious.

Kobi, what is the trifold test?
It's where they pinch three areas of fat, usually on your back, under your shoulder blade, on your stomach, and the top of your quadriceps. They measure with calipers how many centimeters of fat you have, find the average, use a tri-fold table chart that they have, combine with your weight in some equation I can't remember right now, to estimate your body fat%. I have had tests done where they measure 5 areas of fat too. Once they used the wrong chart and told me I had 25% body fat (I don't know what I am now, but last time I got checked it was 16%). I was mortified because I had been working out so hard.
