i know there are obviously many doctors in NYC, however i would like to hear first hand experiences with good doctors. many docs in the nyc area also charge way more than they should just becuase it's new york city.

I don't know of any first hand experience in that area, but I have seen good before and after pics for Dr. Brad Jacobs.
thanks you guys. yes nyc Doc's are known to charge a lot more.

Dr. Jacobs did one of my boob jobs a few years back. I'll admit that he makes absolutely fantastic looking boobs, but (I'll try and say this tactfully) his response to complications left something to be desired. He's also as expensive as those gold Park Ave. fire hydrants in front of his office would indicate!
Dr. Joel Studin is also located in Manhattan. While he hasn't done any work for me personally, I do know several girls who have used him. He appears to be a great plastic surgeon as well as an excellent medical doctor, and he's much more reasonably priced.
For my last boob job, I found it less expensive to use a plastic surgeon located well outside NY or any other big city. I actually bought two round trip tickets to Houston, plus rental car and hotel room for 5 days, plus the surgeons fee for the best boob doctor in town, and still saved a couple of thousand dollars versus paying Park Avenue prices for surgeon's fees and convalescing at home.

Hi Melonie,
How many BA did you have??????
Your size is pretty amazing!!
In Europe where I live I saw ONLY one girl like you : LOLO FERRARi.
I just recently had my ba done by Dr. Bellin. Awesome doctor, easy to talk to and he's not one of those that will rush you out of his office. However he is is also on Park ave and very expensive. But on the brite side he is authorized by the FDA to use sillicone gels.
Ooooh!! You should check out this website http://www.allaboutplasticsurgery.com. They have the best information on all kinds of plastic surgery. There is even a forum on BA's where you can ask all of your questions and have them answered by women who've done it. It's great support and I believe that there is even a doctor that can help answer some questions for you.
But, most important...make sure that whoever you decide to go to, that the doc is BOARD CERTIFIED!!
Dr. Nachman Rosenfeld, who is also an M.D. is awesome. He has offices in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island. His prices are VERY reasonable and he does a great job. They look/feel natural.
You can call him @ 1800- 356-4551

Dont go to Dr Jacob. He is one of the worst doctors in NYC and also he's not board certified.
Dr. Vitolo is very good but very expericence. He does it through the belly button. Cost over 9000. I like him very nice but I'll still looking for a surgeon. But I might still go with him if I dont find anyone like him.

everybody sing along to the tune of "the 12 days of Christmas"Hi Melonie,

five B.A.'s .... , four lip augs, three complications, two liposuctions, and a fat transplant under my eyes !

On a different aspect, IMHO the fact that a doctor has become 'board certified" by the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons only indicates that he had time and money to spend joining this "fraternity". The ASPRS is not a government body, it is simply a group of doctors who formed a "fraternity" many years ago. Being ASPRS "board certified" does NOT indicate that a doctor is a particularly skilled plastic surgeon or a particularly talented medical doctor for that matter. It primarily indicates that a doctor has gone through the necessary paperwork, paid the necessary money, and declined to perform any "unsanctioned" procedures which might be deemed "risky" or "experimental" or "unconventional" (even though such procedures may have been exactly what some patients were requesting), and has presented the "proper attitude" to gain the approval of existing ASPRS members.
Virtually ALL innovations in plastic surgery techniques come from non ASPRS board certified doctors, since the ASPRS only "sanctions" procedures after they have been done by non-ASPRS members for several years thus have an established track record and complication rate. At the very least, this means that "board certified" plastic surgeons have the LEAST experience with any relatively new procedures. My own doctor in Houston who invented the 'belly button' procedure is not a "board certified" member of ASPRS. Dr. Jacobs in Manhattan who invented the "muscular flap" procedure to repair other doctors' patients' B.A. complications is also not a "board certified" member of ASPRS. And for the record, there are other "boards" out there besides the ASPRS which many "" non-board certified"" doctors have been certified by! But the ASPRS has the institutional and political connections and the advertising/publishing budget to present itself as "THE" board. "Board Certified" ASPRS member plastic surgeons place great stock in this credential - primarily as justification for charging higher prices!
Granted being ASPRS "board certified" does indicate that a plastic surgeon has not killed any patients lately, has a medical degree from an "approved" medical school (that's another story too), has not lost too many malpractice lawsuits, and is capable of competently performing established procedures. But IMHO this does not give the ASPRS "board certified" doctors the right to charge higher prices or the right to look down upon the "non-board certified" doctors who invented and perfected the procedures they are now performing!
can you tell that I have spent a lot of time working in the medical profession, and have seen "the man behind the curtain" a few too many times ?

Melonie,I know this is off the subject but Iam interested to know what the under eye fat transfer thing you had done is all about.

The fat transplant was done in conjunction with one of my lipo surgeries. Basically, the plastic surgeon kept the most viable fat cells removed by the lipo, "distilled" them, and reinjected them into the "circles" under my eyes. Some of those fat cells "take root" (like maybe 1/3 rd) and help permanently fill out the "hollows". For the first 2-3 weeks after surgery you wind up looking like you've just been in a fistfight, but after that your face winds up looking younger and smoother.

It it more advenageous to have that done than blepharoplasty if you dont have bags or excess skin?I think Iam more so loosing the fat there than anything else.
hi guys ...ok i have a pair of brand new implants that my SO friend stole from a plastic surgeon she was working for they are brand new and still in the box i was gonna sell them on ebay buy i think that might be illegal,,so then i thought about throwing them away as i have no need for them( my boobies are a nice D already) so i figured i might just ask you guys since i have no use for them and would hate to throw them away.....i think they are the ones that you have to fill up with saline or whatever they use ...if you think you might be interested in them you can pm me and i'll give you more info

Ok cash ,I found my answer,I asked you on the other thread were the hell you got them and what was up because I know manufacturers only sell to mds,ok ,they all have a serial number and can be traced back,so if I were you I would throw them away, like I said on the other thread,no doctor will use them.

Also, that doctor could prosecute, when the serial number is traced back,be careful.

In my own opinion, the fat transplant eliminates the risk of any incisions showing or developing complications. However, the fat transplant is not 100% predictable in regard to the percentage of transplanted cells which will actually "take root" in any particular person. For some girls 50% of the transplanted fat will remain permanently, whereas for some other girls 90% of the transplanted fat may be gone 6 months after the procedure. It it more advenageous to have that done than blepharoplasty if you dont have bags or excess skin?I think Iam more so loosing the fat there than anything else.
