Default breast aug. thru bellybutton--no scars

I saw a post asking about BA scarring. If anyone has any questions about getting implants through the bellybutton (NO scarring) I had it done three years ago. I researched everything very thoroughly and it is an excellent option for many people wishing to get implants.

I didn't heal well from prior surgeries so I spent the extra money to get it done this way. I have NO scars and healing time is also very minimal. I had about 50% numbness in one nipple but after about two years it was back to 100%.

No long-term complications whatsoever, although as a caveat I do know that there is some risk of long-term health problems with implants (lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.) so that is always something to keep in mind...but it doesn't happen to everyone and I felt it was worth the risk. These conditions are reversible when the implants are removed.

I went from an A to a full C and they look totally natural. You can not tell they are implants until you feel them. I'm 100% pleased...it's the best thing I ever did and certainly a great consideration for a dancer. As far as I know, no one in Vegas does this procedure so I chose a Doc in Cleveland who has done it this way longer than any other doctors in the U.S. who do it (and there are only a handful of them).

I can answer specific questions...if anyone is interested!

Im planning on having this procedure done in January, but im still debating on silicone vrs saline, and the size. Im 5'6, 110, and a 36B, im thinking about going to a 34/36C. Im also curious about your personal opinion, having been through the surgery already. How long did it take to heal? When were you able to go back to work? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

I thought you weren't able to get silicone in the US without having a previous BA? Where is your location? If you are able to I would spend lots of time researching silicone. If a bag leaks your body can absorb saline. What happens if silicone leaks into your body? I have heard horror stories and seen horrific pictures.

Healing time depends on if you get over or under the muscle, how elastic your skin is, and individual tolerance to pain. I had unders (more painful because they cut through the muscle) and elastic skin (the skin was basically already there, waiting to be filled up). The third day I could walk around minimally. After a month 90% of the pain was gone. I only had pain when jumping around or sleeping on them for the second month.

So Kobi, you were out of work for two months or was it longer? That must have sucked being in so much pain and not being able to work.

I had my BA before I started dancing. I was out of work for a month only because I was in between jobs. I could've gone back to work after 2 weeks. Shitty situation that turned out good.

I only took a week off work for my surgery. I was a waitress at a restaurant/bar and was scheduled to go back to work the Saturday after my surgery. The Wednesday before I called to tell them I knew I wouldn't be ready to go back to work on Saturday because of the pain. Keep in mind it's a high paced bar where 32oz. glasses of beer were the best seller. That's a lot of lifting. They said that was fine and to call them next week to work out the schedule. Saturday they called me and told me they were short and I had to come in or loose my job. Too bad for them! I was their hardest working waitress and always covered other girls' shifts. I was also the best looking waitress, but that wasn't a hard accomplishment (sorry, I'm usually very modest, I swear). I'm not bitter at all. *sarcasm* It turned out to be a good thing because I answered an ad for a new nightclub opening and they hired me to be a beertub girl, which is the easiest job in the world and good money too! At orientation I met this cute boy who is now my fiance of 2 years. [couple]

Okay, I'm done rambling now. Long story short, take off 2 weeks from your "real world" job if you get a BA.

I didn't know they still did silicone implants. I know they are softer than saline, but the health risks seem to not outweigh the benefits. I would opt for saline, for sure.

I got over the muscle...because I wasn't going too big (full C) so I wasn't concerned about the bubble look. The doc said I could have gone to a D and still looked natural. If I had wanted DD or larger I would have needed to go under the muscle to avoid the porn star look. But if you are going for the porn star look, over the muscle will work for you no matter what size, plus there is much less recovery time.

I also had lost weight after my daughter's birth and my boobs shrank from a C to an A, after I quit breast feeding so they basically needed to be filled back up. I suppose if you are totally flat chested like a boy than under the muscle might look more natural. If you have some breast tissue, however, over the muscle will still look natural because there is breast tissue to rest on top of the implant, softening the look. I had very little breast tissue but just enough to make them look natural even over the muscle.

Doing it this way, if you can get away with it, saves a lot of recovery time and then going through the bellybutton saves even more time.

I flew from Vegas to Cleveland to get mine. I had my surgery on Wed. and flew home on Friday. I did have to go from the hotel back to the doctor's office the very next day after the surgery, which was really painful. You absolutely must have someone to help you for the first few days to a week.

The way I did mine, I was up and around in less than a week...still had some pain but even that was gone in less than a month. I was off of work at that time, but I could have been to work in two weeks with no problem...maybe a few of the pain killers would have made it easy too.

I love mine...totally thrilled with the end results and NO SCARS. I can send you before and after pics if you would like. PM me for that if you'd like.
