I started using an after shaving lotion called "TendSkin" and haven't had a problem since. Clears up the ones you have and prevents new ones. Put it on dry skin and *blot* it on (instead of wiping) with a cotton ball or it'll STING!

Someone else mentioned light exfoliation with a loofah reserved for that purpose right before shaving. This helps too

As far as I can tell they don't sell it out here (east) but when I lived in CA/TX/AZ you could get it at Sally's. You can get it off the internet, I think its www.tendskin.com....

It seems to help with any depilation method so yes on the post waxing usage.

Now for how often, I used to use it everyday (I think twice a day) as did my boy for his shaving rash on his face but as the bumps and irritation lessened, we just apply as needed or a couple times a week.

I noticed at one point it dried my skin a bit and my fake tan suffered, lol, so I backed off. Also, be careful if you are sensitive in your vaginal area to not actually get it on your most naughty bits. I was sort of applying it heavily when I first started using it and ended up feeling ichy there (sorry if that is TMI but I figured it would help to know). When I was more careful with application I was fine.

I hope this helps you all, it was a lifesaver for me! I'm starting to feel like a commercial

YESSS Tend Skin is great for preventing ingrown hairs. be careful, it stings like a bitch if you are freshly shaven. the only problemo i ran into with T.S. is when i was very tan from the tanning bed; i used tend skin and, being that it exfoliates, it exfoliated my tan off in that area!!!! so i was all nice golden tan except my crocth which was much paler...hahaa...it looked pretty funny. i dont know how to avoid that.

yeah veronika you are so right. i put alot of tend skin on one time, and i was laying down, and it got INSIDE my area. it hurt SOOOOOO BAD. that is something that would be best avoided.
