If someone can give me and STD, dancing is not worth it for me! I've heard stories, now I want to know if they're true or not. :-/

Darn right there are a few diseases to be caught during dancing in clubs. Nude mainly. You have to read up on skin contact diseases. Others body fluids etc. I will say the risk can be higher in a club, because you deal with multiple customers all night. And dancers as well. In "not the norm way".

    Keeping clean is very important.

    Kissing seems harmless....NOT
    Lap dances.....NOT
    The pole....NOT

Seriously, you don't want saliva, cum or to actually touch any items others have without protection (clorox wipe for example) The flu is a virus, and we can get it there. Herpes from mouth kissing a customer. Cum, if he cums on your vagina while a nude ld. (very scarey).

Take precaution. And you should do fine.

PS always flush the toiley with your foot!

I agree, but being in a higher area for us to be exposed to alot of diseases is likely. Me working the hospital, i don't have to sit nude on a guys lap. Or don't want a repeat customer to say he will come back again if i give a little kiss on the lips. These are the diseases that frequent strip clubs in higher volume. ( actually can if we do these things.)

It's the atmosphere. Alot of dancers do these things without a second thought. That is why you will read in many threads "wipe yourself, and objects off."

These diseases can happen anyplace. But the clubs welcome it without even knowing it's possible for alot of dancers/customers. Or the "i won't catch herpes if i just give him a dry kiss good-bye. Yes we can.

I am sure that alot of dancers are aware of the diseases that are around clubs IF they don't play safe.

Excellant info as usual by Pam

Hmmm...... I wonder what the likelyhood of getting crabs is in a full nude grind dance is ? Any info on that one Pamela ?

I always wiped down the pole with a antibacterial wipe before using it and washed my hands as often as I could.

This sounds kinda silly but what about spraying money with Lysol....... they say money is about the dirtiest thing on planet earth !

I know of an outbreak of crab lice at a topless club that was thought to have been caused by girls sitting on the same seats in the changing room wearing their G-strings. Things like crab lice can live a long time on surfaces, and the genitals do not need to be exposed.
There have also been cases of trichomonas which were caused by similar means, but usually some vaginal discharge is involved (such as a nude dancer sitting bareassed on a bench followed by another.
Typically things like gonorrhea and chlamydia require more direct genital contact.
Since herpes and genital warts can be spread during intercourse despite condom use due to skin lesions around the vagina, it would make sense that this might occur in a dance situation, even if the vagina is covered, such as in a simulated lesbian grinding situation, or if a girl wearing a g-string was grinding against an exposed customer.
In the absence of sores on the mouth, the spread of herpes is rare but not impossible.
The good news is that the really bad stuff such as HIV and hepatitis have a very short life outside of the body, and die almost immediately after drying on surfaces. The only transmissions I know of that occurred from contact with dried virus happened in laboratories where very high concentrations of virus were involved.
    Hope this helps.

I am such a germ-a-phob. I do that too and when I use a public bathroom I won't touch anything directly with my hands, I'll grab a paper towel to touch any door handles, etc.

So many things can be spread through indirect contact. And now is cold and flu season, I freak when someone coughs next to me on the subway in NYC. I always picture that scene from the movie "Outbreak" where you see all the germy particles floating through the air after someone coughs.

Take precautions when you dance. Using a towel is fine during lap dances. Just make sure to wash your hands alot, clean the poles, etc. I always carried those little bottles of hand sanitizer with me when I danced. Just use common sense and you'll be ok.

Yes girls can get diseases if they are in a club that doesn't have extreme health precautions such as Chlorox wipes for the pole as well as chairs in the dressing room. If a girl that has a sexually contracted virus puts her pussy on the pole and some fluid or skin cells stay on the pole and the next girls comes behind her and does it too she has been exposed to it. Same with scooting her ass around on the floor, bacteria such as staph and yeast infections can be picked up that way.

The best things you can do to prevent having any problems with it in your club are supplying Chlorox wipes next to each stage. Also taking a "lap dance 2 for 1 break" so that a cocktail can get up on the stage and wipe it down with a bleach spray and clean towel. As well as providing chlorox wipes in the dressing room. I would always recommend that if you are going to sit down on stage or in a chair to put your own hand towel or some article of clothing down under you.

I've been reading for a little while and I just have to add to this, because it's not only the girls that can be really dirty, some of the "custies" will have something contagious(sp) and actually laugh it up later about girls possibly catching it from them.
I.E. my ex, he went to a club one night cover and I mean COVERED in poison ivy, all over his body but his neck and shoulders were exposed and I guess the girls would come over and put their legs on his shoulders/neck. Anyways, later on he was laughing it up with his buddies saying he probably just gave the whole club poison ivy and how nobody's going to want dances from those girls for a looong time.
Just becareful of any skin to skin contact, in a dark place you can't always see what someone might have on them.

wow YIKES! The other thing i wanted to add, since no one mentioned this one, is HPV or Human Pappiloma Virus. It can cause genital warts and can be spread by skin to skin contact as well. So...just remember to take the safetly precautions and always keep yourself clean! Thanks for the great tips all of you, i'm going to make sure i always pay attention to everything!

P.S. I always flush the toilet with my foot lol!

We do the towel thing on custies' laps, and girls lay their towels down on chairs when sitting...but still, the stage floor is gross. Possibly I should get myself a blanket for floor work- I can wipe the pole discreetly while I go up on stage, but the whole floor, not so much.

In a full nude i worked at we were required to put a towel across a clients lap even though we were doing "air dances".

Here is my concern, and what i think of.

its a high volume night and most of the customers are getting dances from several girls. Say this is in a high contact club. What if the chick before you has shit like herpes or whatnots and then you go grinding on his lap?!

    BLEH.

There is a girl at my old club that has herpes. Many people do have it so it's not a knock onthose that carry the disease. Problem is this chick did a LOT and was a well known hooker outside of the club. Her pimp often visits the club.

And get this .. she dances while she has an outbreak since Full servicing clients is "painful" when she's going through the outbreak!!!

( gotta make money somewhere she said to a girl . )

I do NOT get on poles at all. touching them grosses me out but im not as noided out by a hand gripping verses my thighs.

The club Im at now does clean their stages ( there are no poles ) so i feel some what safer and its a LOW contact club ..no crotch on crotch contact going on .

But good god ... if there were ever aplace to catch cooties my old club was it.

OMG that's so gross! So scary! Crabs crawling about on chairs? I supose if you have them and you give a lapdance some could drop off onto teh custies lap and the next time you sit there they could crawl onto you.
Can this still happen if you shave there though? Can crabs just live on your skin with no hair?

This has freaked me out too. Me too with the flushing the toilet with the foot, but also washing the hands and either leaving the tap running for fear of touching it again and picking up someone elses germs or turning it off with toilet paper.
    This is so scary
