    Default BA problems

I've had a breast augmentation which did not come out very good. My breasts look distorted, being even with different shape from each other. I'm going to need another surgery to repair it and upsets me that the doctor messed up.This BA happened three years ago and within those three years I keept calling the office and was told that the doctor would operate on me again but I would have to give them another $3000.00, having already spent $9000.00 with the bad BA done by him. Also upsets me that I spent money for a bad job. Did anyone ever hear from a patient getting her money refunded from a bad breast augmentation? Thank you.

No , you might contact a lawyer but it would probably cost you more than its worth,or you might try to find a good hearted doctor who will fix it for less, thats what happened to me with my lips, the doctor who screwed them up wanted 2,000 to fix them and thats what I paid in the first place, well the doctor who did my ba did it for 300,and sometimes the doctors act like there is no mistake or mess up and will tell his staff to say,oh they look great, that happened to me, good luck.

Ana, sorry to hear of your situation. Unfortunately, Michelle is right that many doctors suddenly don't want to know you if you develop complications, or expect full payment for repair surgery as if you weren't their patient in the first place.

Just out of curiosity, are your implants over the muscle or under the muscle ?

    They're over the muscle.

If your breasts have a distorted look to them, this may be because of capsulare contracture (or CC- excess formation of scar tissue). Unfortunately, this is a risk of BAs, but not caused by your PS. Your PS has no control over how your body will react to the implants, and most charge that much or more for a redo. Sorry this has happened to you, I myself have gone through CC twice. I know how frustrating this is, but try not to play the blame game.

There are obvious mistakes that the surgeon can make like giving you a size that you didn't ask for, placing the implants above the muscle, when you asked for under the muscle (or vice versa), using a different incision site than the one you agreed upon. In these types of situations, the PS is clearly at fault and should offer compensation (in my opinion, anyway).

Actually I don't have capsular contracture. The thing is that at the time of getting implants the surgeon also did a lift and probably what he messed up on was when he was cutting the skin to lift the breasts, he probably did not do it the same way in both breasts.
