Default How to finance implants with not so good credit?

I really want to get my boobs done, but I dont want to wait to save the money up, because that could take a while. I want to get them while I am young and pay them off with the income they attract! But, my credit is not the greatest . I have applied for several loans online, and did not get approved. Is there any way I can find a loan? Right now, dancing is my only job, so I also have that obstacle, of a theoretically unsteady job. Any advice??

I don't think it's the best idea, but in the back of Cosmo, womens own and other "ladies magazines", they have doctors that do breasts for so much down and make payments.

if I were you I'd wait until you had the $ to pay for them in full-you'll be better off for it in the future

    Anabolic:
That may be true. I also have the theory, though, that the extra money I make now off of them should at least pay for the financing charges I will be paying for a loan, if not more. I may be wrong, though.

I think I was in the same boat as you! I finally got approved, but with a 28% interest rate!! It almost makes me sick when I think about it. I got them 2 years ago when I turned 18. My mom co-signed the loan not wanting me to even do it. I was in the inmature mode of "I don't care i just want em!" About a year later my step dad found out how much I was paying on interest. My mom had hers done the same year he found out about the interest ( how cool is that? Anyways luckily for me my family are business owners of a very large and succesful business (I don't wanna brag-THEIR rich not me! lol but someday when they die....LOL jk that was evil)anyways he refinanced my loan through their personal bank for like a 3 percent interest instead! It was awsome. So now I pay 3% instead of 28%. I say just save!!! Or in my case have your parents help if their down. :-/

Kat, implants are one of the hardest items to secure financing for. This is mostly because, once a girl gets her implants, there's no way to "repossess" them if she defaults on her loan payments! For this reason, credit standards are fairly high and so are interest rates.

if you're coming up totally empty on your attemtps to secure financing for implants through 'conventional' channels, there may also be the option of your club financing your implants. Many clubs will agree to finance implants for dancers, providing that #1 the dancer agrees to continue working for that club for a certain amount of time, and #2 providing that the dancer gets implants large enough that the club can "promote" her. If you plan on dancing for another year or two, and if you're not shy about a little "promotion" (which will definitely help your income as well as the club's, and which might lead to bigger and better things as well), you might discuss this possibility with your clubowner. You can check out a dancer who did this sort of deal recently at .

    Kitty Kat,

My advice to you is to save your $$$ and buy a really good set of implants from a reputable plastic surgeon. Yes, it will take time, but it is worth the investment to get them done properly, and right. Your still young and you have alot of time to save.

The worst thing you can do now is be in rush, and buy the cheapest boob job possible, or go to Mexico and have it done.

A set of badly done implants will make it harder for you to earn$$$ than not having them at all.

Plus, boob job's like any other Surgery is a dangerous procedure in itself. Who would you trust your life too; the guy you paid the $2,500 or the guy you paid the $6,000-10,000 to get them done?

Also, I wouldn't let the club finance them either for two reasons:

    1. You will have no flexabilty in changing jobs at all, plus the hassle of the club owners using the boob job as leverage against you when you deal with them.

    2. Who do you think they're going to send you too for the surgery? The $2,500 guy or the $6,000-$10,000 guy.

I think we all know the answer to that one.

Anyways, I hope this helps with your decision.

    Goodluck.

    Hi Kitty Kat,

Please dont' be offended but you asked for advice and I am going to give you the best advice that my many years of living and thirty years of running a business can provide for you.

Read your statement above and think about it. Could it be that the reason you have credit problems is because you have not made yourself wait till you can afford things before you buy them? Please don't be mad at me I am only trying to get you to think about it. OK?

Also it would not be a good idea for you to use a particular surgeon just because he will give you credit. THIS PERSON IS GOING TO CUT OPEN YOUR BODY. Think about that. That is way too important for you to chose him just based on a financial reason. You and your body are way too important to risk your being maimed or your career being ruined just so you can get your implants a few months sooner.

I have a freind I met on another board, She got a boob job and was very happy and then the infections set in. The next time I heard from her she was desperate for money, she had to have one implant removed again at HER expense, she was unable to work for a long period and she was so depressed.

That sweet young lady has not been around for me to talk to her or find out how she is doing for several months now, I wish I knew how she was doing.

PLEASE, this is an important decision. Take your time and pick your Doctor for his skills not his financing. And save up first.

I hope you know this is all meant in the best way and not to offend you at all. Best of luck to you.

and Welcome to the forum too by the way.

I'll risk making one more unpopular comment about financed implants - financed either by 'conventional' means or financed by a club.

#1 - Dancing resembles professional sports in the sense that every girl has a limited time window of maximum earnings potential. Delaying getting implants for a year or two years or three years while saving money versus getting them right away does indeed have a "time value of money" issue involved.

#2 - Paying $1000-$2000 extra per year in interest payments on financed implants may turn out to be a small price to pay compared to a potential extra $1000-$2000 per MONTH in increased earnings potential after getting implants.

I do agree with everyone who posted that a bargain boob job is potentially no bargain! But I can also personally attest that very expensive very well credentialed surgeons are no guarantee of problem-free perfect boobs either. The secret is to really research the plastic surgeons you are considering using. Seek out other girls who have had boob jobs done by doctors you are considering - they are the BEST testament to the likely outcome of your own boobs.

I would also dispute the 'assumption' posted here that club financed implants will force you to use a bargain basement boob doctor. In reality, if the club has a stake in your boobs, they want those boobs to be big, beautiful and trouble-free just as much as you do! You're no asset to the club if your boobs look weird, or if boob problems prevent you from dancing, because the club will lose out right along with you. Clubowners understand the principle that "it takes money to make money" very well !

However, Xmark is correct in stating that the decision to get implants involves a MAJOR commitment on your part. It basically means that you will have breast implants for most of your life, that you will probably need to reinvest in a new set of implants every 10 years or so, and unfortunately that you will also develop some sort of problem with your implants at least once in your life. The initial cost of your first set of implants is not the end of the road ... it's actually the beginning of a very LONG road. If you're not prepared to follow this long road you may want to reconsider getting implants in the first place.

Thanks everyone! I am thinking this through, but if I decide to get them, it will be soon. Like Melonie said, if I wait two or three years, that is a large percentage of a dancers career. I will miss out on two to three years of a possibly much greater income. My main issue with them, besides financing concerns, is fear of excess scar tissue forming around the implants. I get keloid scars, so I am worried this may make capsular contraction more likely for me. Does anyone have experience with this condition? I mean keloid scarring?

yes Kitty since I was a bit 'older' than most girls getting their first set of implants, I was very concerned about my skin not having very much elasticity and being prone to keloids/stretch marks. I avoided problems in this area totally by going with adjustable implants and stretching the skin slowly. My adjustable implants were first put in filled to I think 450cc, then after I had recovered from the surgery for a couple of months, my doctor started injecting another 100cc or so per month. Slowly expanding adjustable implants also reduce the possibility of thick scar tissue capsule formation, since every time more saline is injected the capsule gets bigger and breaks any scar tissue layer. Plus adjustable implants also allow you to 'test drive' different implant sizes, and to reduce the size of your implants at any time (like if you get pregnant and your boobs start growing even more!). As you can see, my boob skin has undergone a LOT of stretching over the years with progressively larger implants, and there isn't a stretch mark in sight!

If you're not familiar with the way these adjustable implants work there's a video clip at

I'm also trying to get the money together to get my boobs done. I have the same problem, my credit is pretty crappy so my chances of getting financed are pretty slim. But being a dancer, it is always possible to put a few grand together if you just work extra days and save up. I'm wanting to get mine done this December, which is about 16 weeks away. In order to have the cash in time, plus some cash for my down time--my goal is to put away 400 each week. It can be done! It really shouldn't take a year or more to save up the money for a BA on a dancers income.
I would be very wary of those places who put ads in the magazines, charge way less than the other docs, and work like breast implant factories. At least since we see boobs all day we can ask the girls with the best boob jobs what doctor they used. You don't want to go with the cheapest place just because they finance--We've all seen bad boob jobs before!

As a big fan of Melonie's I will testify that after much inspection on my part, (in photos I mean), that is an absolutely true statement.

Mariah and KittieKat, I put off my boob job for years because I'd chicken out during consultations (thank God) and I spent too much time worrying about financing and cost. To make matters worse, I'd see a beautiful girl with the most pitiful jobs ever; so I assumed that getting a boob job was like picking from a box of chocolates...ya never know what you're gonna get. [eek]

Then I met a girl with the most perfect boobs I'd ever seen, I couldn't believe they were fake! I saw her before pics and since we had the same body build I decided I was finally ready. I lived in Dallas, the Doc was in Orlando Fl, all I had to do was send half the total amount as a deposit for the surgery date, and less than two weeks later I had my boobs. [boobies]

Seriously, wherever I work, the girls are in awe of my boobs, I feel like a Squeeze box some nights and that's just in the dressing room! Size small D, over muscle, through armpit w/out noticeable scaring, no ripples, no stretch marks, no loss of sensation, can't feel bag when squeezed... (Not gonna lie though, hurt like a bitch when sitting up from a lying position, for almost two weeks.)

And guess what, they were only $3,600! My bestfriend paid over $5,000 to a reputable surgeon and they look like shit. I see this all the time.

Don't finance, too few options for your surgeon. Don't expect to save over long period of time as this rarely works out. Find a girl who had similar build before and good job after, and visit with her Doc. Fly across country if necessary, I'm so glad I did.

*PM me for surgeon info, not sure if it's considered advertising if I were to name him here.

**Mariah PM me for sure, my friends "reputable surgeon" is in Austin.

Also very important, must come up with smart-ass responses to rude redneck questioning such as "are dem der titties real or is dey fake?" and "You gots some pretty ta ta's Darlin', dos ain't dem der fakies R dey?

My personal favorite response is, "Oh no hun, we're (dancers) all fake. We trick ya with all these smoke and mirrors, I'm actually a 62-year-old vegetarian foreigner, and that wasn't really my knee you felt grinding your crotch."

Sorry, bad advice I know, I just can't resist with those dumb-asses.
