    Default Neck and Back pain...

My friend got a BA more or less a year ago, and she has been having trouble with her back and neck... This has been going on quite a while now, and her doctor has said that if they cant take the pain away they are gonna have to reduce her implants, or even take them out...

How do you deal with it... shes not quite like melonie, but shes a 34 d I would say...

She's had pain killers and shots and therapy.. but shes only gotten relief for a few days at a time...

    Any help???

SanPR - is that PR for Puerto Rico?

Sorry I don't have any advice about pain due to implants. I just got a BA in April and haven't had any trouble.

I had a BA in 2001 and yes, I had back pain associated with the new "weight" attached to my body. About a year later, following a car accident, I began visiting a chiropractor. I then found out that alot of my new pain had to do with my posture (slumping). He assigned me a series of exercises to strenghten the muscles directly behind my shoulder blades. I think this area is commonly called the upper traps. Two years later, I still have to make a consious effort not to slouch and keep those muscles strong. I've got to the point where I can manipulate my spine enough to get a really loud crack out of it after slouching, though I'm not too sure if this is a good thing. I don't know anyone else whose body cracks and pops like mine, though most people are alot gentler with thier bodies than I have been, except dancers and athletes. Since I refuse to take medicine unless I'm almost ready to die, I rely on a combo of ice packs, bananas, and yoga to keep my body "loose". I notice that when skip on stretching and exercising those upper traps, OUCH!

I had a recent BA in May. I have made the same experience that my back and shoulder hurt a lot. As Mercury_Deep said a different body posture helps a lot to carry the new weight without pain. I discovered that I had to find out all new ways to move and stand. There is no unconscious body movement anymore, no slouching, standing straight all the time. Three months lafter BA the pain has disappeared almost completely now.

When I was going to get implants I did research I read about 10 books, one the silicone syndrome and it spoke about this, there is a chapter devoted to this,it may be fibromialga, it talked about women having problems from the nerves stretching causing numerous problems,I sugest to get some books and read up on it ,this was 6 years ago when I read these books so my memory is foggy on it.
