    Default false eyelashes

ever since juliette mentioned her showgirl eyes this has been bugging me. I have really short straight blond eyelashes hey. mascara does nothing for me.

So do any of you guys wear the false eyelashes to work? how do you put them on? Do they stay on ok (visions of my eyelash falling into a customers drink)? Do they tend to rip out your own lashes???

PLEASE help me ladies!!! I'm still very clueless about all these makeup issues.

I wear them EVERYDAY no exceptions. They do cause your real lashes to fall out. I used to only wear them occasionaly but then my real lashes didnt seem to be full enough. At first it might be tough putting them on but you get used to it. I've never had a problem with them coming loose. I think they look nice as long as you dont buy ones that are too big.

Those plastic applicators work very well- the best actually! You can also use tweezers to do the fine work at the very end. I always trim the lashes first. Sometimes I cut out a whole section-the part closest to the bridge of my nose. Not cutting it looks clownish on my face. And you don't want to use too much adhesive. Dried, it has the consistency of bubble gum -can royally f*** up your makeup!

Yes, you will wanna put on your eyeshadow and pencil first. It's better if your eyemakeup is very dramatic!!Especially if you are using thick lashes.

I don't wear them every day....my makeup is natural looking for the most part, But when I go all out, I certainly put my ass into it!

I tried the whole fake eyelash thing, and it sucked! It took me over an hour to get them on so that they looked half decent. I had to keep taking them off and peeling all the goo off. ahhh not worth it. for me at least.=o)

I used to wear them to work regularly. It does take a while to put them on. I found a mascara that seems to work for me and give a sort of false eyelash look. It is Loreal's Lash Architect. Even though it is not water-proof the only time I had problems with it coming off is when I start crying

I still think falsies, (eyelashes that is), are fun and wear them once in a great while and no, my lashes haven't fallen out. I have short, curly ones that are medium thick, I guess.

An alternative to fake eyelashes are cellulose fibres you layer onto your regular mascara. It was introduced to the market last year. I have short eyelashes and it really increases the length dramatically. The only problem I have had with them is they tend to glow in the blacklight iff you are not careful (but some people may think thats cool)

    Natalie,

You mentioned J.Lo and her fox fur lashes, yuk!! This is sort of off topic, but I thought it was funny.

My husband's boss had to go to Vancouver to do a photo shoot of Ben Affleck and Uma Thurman for a new film. Well, Ben bailed at the last minute and apparently was a total dick about it.

Well, that shoot was rescheduled for this morning in LA. Now, I read the industry trades papers, online, every morning. We're talking Variety, the Reporter, not National Enquier. The trades said with everything that went wrong with their film, Ben and J.LO were doing fine.

Bryan, my husband's boss, did the shoot with Ben this morning. They broke up right before the shoot!!! The paparazzi were going crazy. Apparently, Ben was not such a dick this time. This hasn't even showed up on CNN or AOL news yet!!

I just found out about three hours ago

    That was completely predictable.
This was an affair designed and marketed by Hollywood. Gigli was a fairly low-budget movie, not withstanding $30-40million in salaries. The stars would've been the best advertising tools they had. BUT Gigli flopped. A week later, so did this "torrent" high profile romance.

Poo on Hollywood these days. So transparent and predictable!!!!

I love fake lashes and wear them at work all the time. Sometimes even during the day. Sometimes I even wear them without shadow or liner. My current favorite is Ardelle 45.

Supposedly ben went to a strip club in Vancouver and participated in sexual activities with a stripper. I heard it was caught on tape too.
