if youre really serious about dropping that area, go to the nearest bookstore and pick up a beginners book on ballet. many many ballet moves work that area hard, and make it tight and lean.![]()
This spot is sooooo difficult it is the primary spot for the storage of fat on most women. As you age it gets more difficult - apparently its a hormonal thing, as your own system reduces its release of certain hormones and as a precautionary the fat will store those hormones in a womans fat - and the body is loathe to give it up either - its nature taking care of whats absolutely necessary.
Its a real fight against the process of evolution!
Many women can be lean and hard everywhere BUT this one stubborn problem spot.
The only way I can keep that spot down is to be slightly underweight.
Problem is you cant spot reduce. That is the plain and simple truth.
Even building the muscles in the leg wont burn leg fat, or doing abwork wont reduce the fat just on your tummy - it is an all over process - your body will use the fat as energy but it doesnt take the fat just from the body part you are working DESPITE all the myths.
To permanently fix this is to lipo. Because one is given a certain amount of fat cells period - meaning even as you get fat you still have the same number of fat cells just bigger lol! But when you lipo those fat cells are removed permanently.
The saddle bag (as its called) is one of the top spots done in lipo suction. BECAUSE t is such a common thing and like I said even lean and hard women get them. Genetics too yada yada.
But true enough that if you keep your muscle toned it will eventually keep dipping into those fat storage areas to burn, even as you sleep muscle needs fuel. Keep your fat intake minimum and the fats you DO ingest make them the good fats, omega 3's and such (flax oil etc too and olive oil) diet will really help.

Thanks for all your replys. Guess I will try them all and as a last resort live with it or lipo.
Anabolic--How much weight should I use for the lunges, squats? I am 5'2" and weigh 100lbs. Not sure what my body fat percentage is.




Try side leg lifts on the floor or with a machine. Of course to get fat down in general take a step aerobics class.
if you are triying to get those spots shape magazine has really good ideas .... and if you use weights do high reps and low weights if you are trying to leaning out
