    Default Moisturizing Body lotion

    Hi Ladies,

I need a deeply moisturizing lotion, (not oil) one that will not leave the stage an oil slick.

Preferable not an overly perfumey Vic Secret type.

Can you recommend something for this super-dry gal? I'm currently on Accutane, if you know what that is you can feel my pain. Or should I say dryness, lol.

    Hi Indica,
you may want to try St. Ives Extreme Relief Intensive Healing advanced therapy lotion.

    It's unscented and hypo-allergenic.

It's made for severly dry skin. It does a good job of absorbing into my skin in a few seconds.

I need it when i start on Retin A again. I used it the last time i used Retin A on my face, but never renewed my prescription.

Thanks for reminding me!!! And i bought this lotion at Walgreens...Cheap.

imo, the best thing for EXTREMELY dry skin is cocoa butter. i mean, it really works on intense dryness.

the only downside is if you use too much it can feel a bit greasy. trick is just use a LITTLE bit. you can always add more if you need to.

Supposedly shea butter is supposed to be the best single ingredient for moisturizing. I have used Mode de Vie shea butter lotion (unscented or vanilla) and it is the exact opposite of oily - it is sometimes even a little sticky. But most people I know that have special skin problems have had the best luck with Aveeno lotions.

I live on Vaseline Intensive Care. I use the Advanced Healing version. They have separate ones for the face and body. It is made for severely dry skin and it definitely works. My skin can get extremely dry in the winters up here, but this does wonders. It has no scent to it at all really and no greasy/oily residue. Also, you can pick it up at CVS or Walgreens and it's pretty cheap.

" Heel to Toe " from sally's about $10 a bottle and she uses it from head to toe. Work's awesome, light aroma and no oily residue.

I get dried out in winter and sometimes peel from tanning in tanning bed to much when havent been for awhile. The best lostions are by far jergens firming lotion and bath and body works lotion. Bath and body works has a lot of selections of lotions. They should help. Also try drinking more water.
