    Default Best workouts for definition???

Hi! Just me with a question for the many experts on this forum If I am a healthy weight and my measurements are OK, what are the best excercises for toning "dormant" muscle? I am most concerned with waist, inner thighs, arms...my butt could use a little tweaking too.

I admire all of the professionals here who do the work and know their sh*t to all of you!!!!

for spot toning I like the 8 Minute Abs and 8 Minutes Arms and ofcourse Buns of Steel
For over all toning with some cardio I like The Firm Cardio Mix. And for just cardio I just love Zumba. All these you can find cheap on Ebay. Hope that helps !

in the gym? High reps low weight for tone. increase the weights to build size but what you are asking low weights and high reps, they tone.

if you already have muscle base and need it to show? do cardio --drop the body fat percentage a bit and your definition will come thru.

tons o websites on showing you how to work body parts you mentioned - having pics and everything!

I go to www.worldfitness.com and make inquiries there myself! JP is a commendable source of information!

    Good luck!

I'm a bodybuilder so I can help a bit-as a general rule it's true that high reps with low weights are good for definition-you should also use cables instead of dumbbells for chest and biceps-for inner thighs use the inner thigh machine-at least 20 reps per set,for butt do DUMBBELL lunges
    guess who's back? back again

I've had great results with doing a couple of the butt workouts on self.com :-)

As for the other areas... I'll get to them eventually.

What other exercise tapes or exercises (pics help!) do people recommend for someone who doesn't have a gym membership (don't like gyms.. prefer to do my stuff at home) and not much in the way of weights ???

well you can get dumbbells and do lunges, and all arm exercises-bi's and tri's-you could do dips using a chair and table, pushups, crunches

I do capoeira, which is a Brazilian martial arts combined with acrobatics and dance. I have tried practically every workout on the planet, and nothing has done me so well. For the first time in my life, I have a six pack and definition in my arms, and it started showing up within a month of starting capoeira! I used to do 300-400 situps of different types every workout and still didn't have defined abs! Capoeira uses muscles you don't even know you had (like around the rib cage). It also greatly improves strength, flexibility, and endurance and you get a cardio workout at the same time. 90% of the people I see at a capoeira gathering have totally defined, toned, beautiful bodies.

I've also found pole tricks to be great for the arms and back.
