Just curious to see what self-tanners everyone has used and liked. I have been using "Endless Summer" (I think it's by Neutrogena). But I was curious if there is something new or better on the market.

I am pretty fair and I have used Roc natural look self tanning twice now.
It seems to work pretty good for me. No streaking, but I did make a mistake the second time I used it and didnt blend it well enough into the tops of my feet, but a bit of rough wiping and it faded. It doesnt seem to transfer to my clothes either!
It also didnt turn my hands orange, but I did wash them every few minutes between applying the lotion.
It takes about 4 -5 hours before you see the full effect!

There was a thread about self tanner a little while ago and I kinda went on a little mission to try a few and see what I liked. Nurtragena was ok. I am glad some ladies like Endless summer because I looked like a streak freak after that bottle. The Mystic Tan at my tanning salon was quick easy, I had no noticeable streaks also the self tanner smell was less and no rubbing off on clothes or sheets. But overall I don't like how my skin reacts to self tanner and I hate that the smell gets worse when you sweat. The only self tanner I really liked was the facial tanner from Elizabeth Arden.
I have good luck with the Bath & Body Works stuff (Tan-Do Attitude) and Benefits Aruba in a Tub. Both are light and a person may need two coats but the color is very natural and doesn't smell bad (Benefit *does* smell of plastic coconuts, though). I've noticed that the darker ones look "off" on my skin and I'm better off doing two coats of a light one.
Endless Summer is the worst smelling of any I've tried and Tomas Tan perfect gives a good color but the guide rubs off everywhere and looks awful so you can only apply it at night.
Best self-tanning info I've found on the web is at sunless.com. They review everything and note what skin types the reviewers had.

There is a self-tanner I like by Lancome. it's the mousse kind (they have some in lotions) and since it's a mousse, it applies evenly. it's tinted, so you don't miss anything, and the tinting is a nice, natural color, so you can wear it out. Plus it has a sparkly-shimmery thing going on, so it gives youa glow and it's enriched with vitamin A and E.....all around good stuff. It'll come off on clothes, but washes out. It smells nice too.
I used to use endless summer, then tried the instant bronzer in that box, but I have been using neutrogena foam, and it's much better! And cheaper!

My skin was pretty streaky when I tried Endless Summer. Also, I didn't like the color on my skin, it didn't look very natural. Then again, I have extremely fair skin, so it's hard to find a self-tanner than looks natural on me. :-/ After a lot of searching, I did finally find one that looks good - the Clarins self-tanner. I use the gel for my body and 'milk' for my face and neck. It looks unbelievably natural and doesn't rub off on my clothing. [clap] The gel does take a bit of time to dry, though, so that would be the one down side.![]()

I'm going to try that Mystic Tan
i have just tried a self tanner test on my self. I don't look that good with a tan look. But a slight tan looks fine, just a hint of colour for me.
What i used to do was brush bronzer on my face in places the sun would naturaly hit.
Then i bought, gel bronzer tanning lotion for face and body.
One swipe, rub it in, and you have a sunkissed look!
You can take it as dark as you like, just use more. It won me over.
I use very little on my face and arms...i mean it blends very well, there are no streaks or orange or a stopping and starting point when you keep a light hand!
very little smell when you apply. This tanner has to be bathed off with a washcloth. It hangs on untill the skin sheds.
Pretty good stuff

Yes Amber I totally agree. Clarins products are all I use. The self tanner is great because it looks natural. I like to stay semi pale "thus my screen name"However I do need some color on my body at times. Girls try Clarins.

I like the tomas perfect tan as well I have tried virtualy every product out there nad it is the most natural, its liquidy and you put it on w/gloves also before bed is the best time to put these products on, and a base tan from the bed before and during the use of these products will give you the best result.

My eyebrow waxing lady who always looks like a goddess - I swear, recommended Este Lauder, I imagine it costs a fortune!
I used Neutrogena Instant Bronze, dark for this past weekend and customers complimented me on my "tan" lol. I have to admit it looked good!
Plus I've exfoliated with a loufe everyday, so it faded smoothy. I didnt even think to help it exfoliate off in my prior expiriances. THAT was my major problem with sunless tanning.

I'm a Mystic Tan girl. It is a little more expensive, but it's tax deductable and it works so much better. Also, if you do it two days in a row, you only have to do it once a week.
