Default AH!!!Help, stuck in a rut!

I don't know if it is PMS, but my waistline is not going down. In fact, my waist measirement is up an inch since I last checked it! [cry] I have to take some pictures next weekend and it simply has to go away. The funny thing is, I have been doing mad cardio and crunches, consuming 1,200 calories a day and I have avoided all the carbs I could. Why would this be happening and how can I make this foolishness disappear? :o

Today at the gym I overheard one of the trainers say you could be up to 2" bigger in your measurements if you measured after exercise. Something about the expansion of pores while sweating, ect.

Did you measure after working out?

Plus I dont know about you, but around my pms time, I'm so bloated that I can't even suck in, that might be contributing a bit ??

I'm sure you look MUCH better than what you see in the mirror sweetie, I think its the case with most of us.

too many people make the mistake of cutting calories too low when the answer is simply to eat 6 small meals a day and keep carbs to the 1st 3 meals only-crunches won't matter-it's all diet-you probably need 1700 calories a day to be healthy

i dont know if this is it, hon, but it may be dehydration. i know when i dont get enough water my waistline magically expands from all of the water retention/bloating. its like PMS magnified. try drinking more water. i get atleast 2 gallons a day, sounds excessive but it keeps me from bloating and also keeps my skin in tip top shape.

    Hey Juliette,

My sister had a problem like that. She ran marathons, rode horses, worked out, et. Apparently, nothing could make her stomach go down. Well, she went and had a pap smear and it turns out that she had so many tumors in her uterus that the doctors thought she might have cancer. She didn't, but she had to have a hysterectomy because there were so many tumors, they couldn't get them all out. Now, this usually doesn't happen until you get into middle-age and of course it doesn't happen to a big percentage of women.

I got my first tumor at 24 and by 27 I had the same problem. I caught it in time and I can still have children.

My sister was 30. I don't mean to sound scary, but if you haven't had a pap lately, get it checked out. I had a friend at 19 and one 22 that had to have one ovary removed. Same symptoms.

Please don't hate me because of this scary information :-/

    Cheers,

    Corey

I know this "trick" I'm gonna share is not healthy or sound advice...but I basically "starve" myself the day before a shoot. Lots of water and I eat only minimal amounts of fat free food...like apples...

ok ok, I know it's not healthy, but I don't do it often and it really helps make my waist trimmer and my belly flatter. Of course I'm famished by the end of the shoot...

Corey, I don't hate you for trying to help. My pap is up to date. It's all good. Thank you for the heads up though.

And Sapphire- hell yes, I am gonna fast! I found a trick that makes your stomach feel full: Eat an pple and an eggwhite and drink a glass of ice water. Trying to do strict non-carb thing, but I feel sorta out of it. C'est la vie.
