Default Where can I buy those no-slip rubber thingies?

    Hi everyone,

Does anyone know where I can get those no-slip rubber thingies you put on the bottom of your high heels? Where I work, the stage is very slippery and I've even slipped and fallen a couple of times, so I would really like to buy some, but I have no idea where to get them. ???

Most shoe stores carry them especially the ones that repair shoes. I found them at the drug store a long time ago but they were not as good as the ones I bought at the shoe repair place.

okay...the only ones ive found at walmart are a grayish colour and really have no grip at all. i mean, they help, but not enough.

so heres what i do. ghetto trick that WORKS. i go to michaels, go to the clearance section. buy a bunch of rubber stamps. cut them into little chunks and super glue them to the bottom of my heels.

    seriously. it WORKS.

neat idea Natalie! The ones at the drug store don't really work either thas why I suggested going to the shoe repair store the ones there are of a much higher quality.
I will have to mention you little trick to my friends.

A friend of mine own's a shoe repair business and he gave me a few sheet's of rubber sole material and I cut it down and use contact cement to adhere them to the bottom of my girl's shoe's. I trim off the excess material and they look like them came that way. I do all the girl's shoe's that way and it seem's to hold up really well. I would say that you could have it done at the local shoe repair shop for a few bux and would be well worth the cost.

Yeah, Crazybob, you beat me to that suggestion. It only costs a few dollars to have soles put on and will greatly increase the life of the shoes.

I get thm done professionally by a shoe repair place. Usually 20 bucks a pair. They are called Topie or Topied.

I also found the do it yourself peel n place grips didnt work and often peeled off in a short amount of time.

I often burn thru a pair of shoes pretty quick and dont bother topie soling the bottom anymore, but LOL another ghetto trick was to slip em on and go outside onto a concrete sidewalk and do the twist! Twisting and dragging the soles on the rough concrete (driveways and garage pads dont work - usually sidewalks your best emory board effect) and using your weight on the shoe as ypu do this, roughed them up that inside on a tile floor or stage they were sufficiently scuffed up sole side they wouldnt slip!

I just put the bottoms on and scrape them to some kind of concrete ( sidewalk, somewhere backstage, ) it works preety good, then I lightly apply just a small DAB of black shoe polish to hide the scuff marks and let it dry. I tried the no slip thingies, but they keep rubbing off and peeling from the lap dances ( I do alot of body slides) and leave this ugly glue patch on the soul that glows under black lights
