    Default Brazilian wax problem...help....

I had a brazilian waxing done yesterday, and lets just say my skin isn't liking it too much. (I feel and look like a burn victim). First off, what can I put on it to calm down the irritation? I tried Bikini Zone, but it hurts so much I'm not sure it's helping (should I try aloe...vitamin E capsules...?). Secondly, I'm supposed to be going out with someone tonight and I'm afraid he's going to think I have some kind of STD. Yeah, I know I can explain what's going on...but it still looks embarassing. Is there something I can put on it to..um...cover it up....(maybe I should just walk up to the MAC or Clinique counter and ask for help....ha). It sounds stupid, but I'd wear body make up to try and cover it up........ugh...remind me to stick to shaving.

Have you tried azulene oil? I find it works miracles!!! Nair has one and there are a few other brands. It would be in the same section as the depilatories and wax at your drugstore. Another thing that you can try is chamomile. Preferably the essential oil. It's great for soothing the irritation. Good luck!

Witch Hazel. It cools/soothes and cleans the area. It's what my waxer had recommended. Good luck on your date

TendSkin. It'll burn like hell if ur skin is really irritated but will improve the appearance in a couple of hours and by the next day you will notice a definite difference. Skip the makeup and all before you make things worse or clog ur pores. Exfoliate and treat with something and then leave it all alone.

I'd recommend TendSkin as well. Just be careful if you need to put it on the "really sensitive" spots. Wet your cotton ball with it and blot, don't wipe.

witch hazel really works? I had a bikini wax a few years back and besides the initial pain...it was my first.....I had in grown hairs and I have a little hair follicle scar thingie.....It really turned me off from ever wanting to repeat the experience. I did exfoliate before hand but I had never heard of using witch hazel.....Hmmm, good to know thanx

Hydocortizone 1% Cream works miracles!!!! Better than any of those bump-preventing products which I found only made it feel worse

PS The first time is always the worst and it gets better every time!
