    Default Liposuction and the Stripper

Hey everyone. I was wondering if any of the dancers here have had liposuction or could offer some advice about it in relation to dancing. I have a small waist but bulges on the top of my hips, that every woman on my mom's side is cursed with. I always stand in the mirror and press my hips in and like that look so much better and looks much smaller when I press in those ugly hip bluges on top of it. When I lose weight, I cannot seem to lose the fat here. I was doing some research on "Tumescent Liposuction," and evidentally this is the kind of lipo where the recovery is speedier and scarring is minimal, maybe a month or two before returning to work. A co-worker of mine has had lipo and she told me that I'll be out of work for months and swollen and brusied for up to a year. Does anybody have any experience or knowledge in this area? Is lipo a good idea for dancers or bad, since we are nude and there might be scarring? Any good results or negative results with lipo? Any info is appreciated.

Alot of dancers get lipo and the scars are so minimal no one notices. I work with at least one girl who's had lipo at least twice and she looks fantastic! No one would know she's had it done just by looking at her.

I've had it done twice since I had abdominal scar tissue after giving birth via C-Section which wanted to trap fat and create a "pouch" no matter how hard I worked out or dieted. First lipo got 70% of it, second lipo got another 25%. But recovery is a bitch - you have to wear an elastic girdle to prevent swelling up like the Willy Wonka Blueberry Girl after surgery! But after 2-3 weeks there are no scars and no signs that the procedure was done!

I had lipo 3 1/2 months ago. Here are my before/after photos: http://www.beautyaddiction.com/befor...ancer/lipo.htm
They're not very flattering because I didn't "hold in", I'm not wearing heels, and they were taken in the unflattering sunlight (without a tan). I have more than 20 incisions on my body now, but they are all worth it. At 3 months post-op I am showing 75% of what my final result will be; Normally it takes 6 months for the best result.

Thank you. All the details are listed either on that picture page or on this text description page: http://www.beautyaddiction.com/forum...rumID2/10.html This site is a new message board for cosmetic surgery and other beauty-relate topics that a friend of mine recently started. If you have any questions regarding my procedure, please post them there. It desperately needs more people to post.

So how long do you need to take off from dancing after lipo? And what about bruising? Which method offers the easiest recovery with least bruising?
