Default Help me with makeup please!

I never really liked wearing a lot of makeup... a typical day for me since I was 17 is just wearing eyeliner & a colored lip gloss, though when I go out on the weekends I add eyeshadow & a bronzer. I learned that as a dancer, you need 5x as much since it's so dark in the club. I do have a lot of makeup in various shades & colors, but I can never figure out the right colors that look good with my face! I get tan really easily so whenever I wear a dark colored lipstick, it makes me look Hispanic or something ethnic, but I am really as white as they come! I tried going to the MAC and Chanel counters at the mall to seek help, but they seem to screw it up even more!

My eyes are hazel and my hair right now is a golden brown with blonde streaks...

    Hi Yelle,

Try a super shiney clear gloss on the lips, maybe with a pink shade underneath, or just bare.

Do you have a blush or foundation powder that's just a couple shades darker than your skin? Look at a picture on the front of any magazine... britney spears is good... and see how the shadow's fall on her cheeks? Her face isn't really shaped that way, those shadows painted on just make it look that way. Paint the shadows on your face to make it be shaped like hers... stand back and look at it... then do it like a different picture... until you find a way you like.

You have good eyes, so you could play them up a lot. I would do a thin black line all around, and then a much thicker lavender or light brown line on the bottom (again, look at a pic on a magazine... ). Put a light color on the lower lids and up the middle, and then use a lavender or brown or plumb to make shadows on the side (you're making them three dimensional). Finish up with a good lash lengthening mascara, and you're totally made up..

Yelle, Bobbi Brown has a great book out now called "Beauty Evolution". It is great, talks about your skin tone, makeup for hair colour, daytime to nightime makeup, conservative and not so. etc. Name it. Hope this info. helps too.
