    Default Enemas...Colonics...Yay, what a topic!

Okay, from reading the FUCKING WEIGHT post *shudder* I see some people have strong opinions about enemas. I would like to see what you ladies have to say on this topic.

Do you ever get the "not so fresh feeling?" Joking! Do you ever get that sluggish, want-to-cleanse-your body kind of feeling? I do. I am trying to intrduce myself (and my boyfriend) to a healthier eating style, vitamins, veggies, actual excercise (not from the fridge to the couch) and I thought an enema might be a good way to go...to start I guess?

Just curious...has anyone actually HAD one? Good and bad opinions welcome.

    Thanks!!

I read where kim Bassinger has them now and again. She says you can actually see what "crap" goes through the tube they use. And when you go, it feels like the shuttle taking off!

Also, too many make for a sluggish system. Not to have too many, your body needs to expel itself. And too many will take good bacteria and flush it away too, not just toxins out of the body. Also in the article she says after you feel tired. That i can understand. Major system flush.

I thought about it, but have given myself enemas, and lie on my left side to get the water up as far as it can go, then cramping.....GO. feels good. Some people get addicted to the feeling, and cleansing i also read. I do a at home one, that is not half as good as in office, but still it takes out toxins, especially when you are not having regular bowel movements. Like constipation.

Gosh i read about coffee enemas and others. Hmmmm.

I have had 4 colonics treatments (3 of which during an intensive week). It's strange at first but you can tell that it's good for you. Yes, you CAN see what's coming out--it's gross and amazing at the same time. Immediately afterwards I felt completely drained of energy and had to go home to take a nap, but long-term it has actually increased my energy level. I would recommend it.

CAUTION: please read all you can from every source available before embarking on such a drastic elimination process.

Being the health weirdo I am yes, I too have used the process. The feeling of clean is like no other, I never get a high from exercise (that supposed endorphin thang) but did get high off this and fasting. IN MODERATION.

The coffee enema is odd, but read up on WHY and again astounding information and results. Done it.

ALways use boiled water if you dont have distilled I reccomend distillled...never chlorinated tap water with all the crap in it.
    (no pun intended LOL)

I sincerely dont reccomend embarking upon this phenom with out being well informed on the entire situation.

NOT a weightloss for sure, but a cleansing in relation to a healthy lifestyle. It is a part of a whole.

Never had the tired feeling? I would say calm and clean and GOOOOD, a glow even - for lack of a better word.

My skin cleared, oh wow, all offshoots from the entire proscesses of eating well, adequate water intake, no drugs or alcohol, exercise and it all wraps up into a feeling like never before.

Again though I wouldnt reccommend everybody go jumping on the poop bandwagon for enemas - its a part of a whole lifestyle regime.

Done in accordance to what is was meant for it is amazing.

    LIVE LONG & PROSPER!

READ UP ON IT THOROUGHLY before you do it at home. I haven't done it yet, but read up on it extensively, and apparently the height at which you set the bag and your position is really important. I also read that you run the risk of getting a "kink" (the way the intestine hangs) which traps the water inside and requires either gently positioning yourself so as to "un-kink" or a visit to the Dr. Also, you can over dilute the electrolytes in your system if you absorb too much water, so it is important to be very very cautious.

I just got the system for home use. I'm very confused as to how it works though. I was expecting to see stuff come out but I saw nothing. I was there for 20mins. I think I'm getting the positioning wrong. If you have tried this, can you tell me how long the hose has to be in to see things being expelled?

I asked my doctor about this and she said RUN AWAY from colonics, it leaves your body open to all types of infections. I think you should talk to a qualified medical professional before you go pouring stuff up your butt. I would closely question credentials of the people who push this colonics stuff, I just don't see the logic of it all.

I used to have to have an enema every day when I was a kid. I was born without a foot of intestines, and always had some kind of problem going to the bathroom. Like always chronic constipation!!! It sucked, as a kid I HATED enemas, but now I'm wondering if I should do them again? The worst part is the cramping. Maybe its just my system, which it probably is, but sometimes even stool softeners AND enemas can't clear me out :/
