Just try to eat yogyrt (fat free) and prunes as long as you can, only not during the day (before you go to bed plus some exerecises, more fruit, boiled eggs with orange juice every morning...worked for me to lose 10 pounds.... Watch what you are eating, that is the most important thing when you try to drop off some pounds and inches
Good luck!!
ORCHID
Sure it's possible, don't eat, starve yourself, dehydrate, end up in the hospital. I would not try to lose 30 lbs in one month Marina.
Please see a professional about weight lose, they teach you to change your eating habits. Your talking "crash diet" not good.

Yikes.....

30 pounds in 30 days????????
Well your first initial weight loss will simply be water weight -- that will be a fast drop - then it gets HARD!
Why such a drastic loss over such a short amount of time?
It can be done but can be soooo dangerous.
Are you at the gym at all? Any cardio? What are you eating?
You may want to talk to a doctor about this.
I do a cleanse yearly called the Elderberry cleansing Diet. Not meant for weight loss but to actually improve health and organ health and it is a complete natural kit that employs a support system and 7 days of fasting with the required vitamins and sugars to maintain blood sugar and whatnot.
You can read up on it on the internet (search google)
I tend to really drop about 8 pounds from that, but only do that as part of the cleanse.
It really is dangerous to lose weight that rapidly with repurcussions, hair loss, skin problems, you can damage your heart the list is endless.
Dieting is a lifestyle not a quick fix.
Tons of water yup. You simply must eat - just make the right choices, and be strict with yourself.
You need so many carbs per day just for your brain to function!
So starvation is absolutely out.
And if you dont eat enough protein?? You slip into ketosis - resulting in your body taking from itself to fuel the need - self cannabolizing, your muscles eat themselves - your heart is a muscle you knew that?
Please please please seek a doctors advice....

It is not healthy to lose so much so fast, but if you go on a strict zero carb diet you will lose 10lbs in a week or 2 easily-again IT IS NOT HEALTHYIs it possible to loose about 20-30 lbs in a month?

guess who's back? back again

Hey what do ya'll eat when the urge to eat something starchy is overwhelming like a huge craving for a Starbucks croissant? So I guess what i'm asking is what's the best carbohydrate?
Marina,
take your multi vitamin, water pill, exlax, fast for 5-7 days, the 8th day only eat fruit, then follow by counting calories staying at 800-1000 per day, ex: three lean cuisine meals each being 300 calories.
I just have the croissant, but I don't eat the whole thing. I think ignoring your cravings leads to binging....at least for me.
The first key is to eat!!!! I eat whatever i want when i want, and as much. I never deny myself food. Second key.......Move that body.
Lots of people find they can actually eat that croissant and another. But you have to move the body, incorporate some weight training (just a little, it builds muscle, which in turn keeps burning calories, even while you sleep)! And cardio, for you heart. You need a strong heart, like LEIGH said it's a muscle, and if you don't work the muscles, they get "lazy" and have to work even harder to keep up with you. I now have a resting heart beat of around 60 beats a minute, thanks to exercise, it was much much higher. Sometimes faster, not much, this is because of exercise.
Any crash diet is dangerous, if you may have an underlying condition you are not aware of, and some of people do, you may hurt yourself bad.
And like Emily said, if you start to ignore food "just because," you may be setting yourself up for some eating disorder (for some people, this is how it starts). Don't deny your body food, eat well, and do cardio with some weight training.
Good luck, PamelaPS DIETS DON't WORK. Changes in eating patterns work!

I tried the elderberry cleansing system and I felt hugry and craved food. I also felt weak. I didn't have the discipline to complete the cleanse. I don't know if its as tough for everyone. I quit after 4 days.
Once I tried the maple syrup, cayenne pepper, lemonade fast and on the 4th day, I got hungry and ate an orange and some tofu-I puked. My body probably wasn't used to digesting food.
It does take some discipline, and you have to be quite healthy going into it - ITS NOT A DIET - it is a cleanse that happens to have weight loss as a side effect.
I really dont advise it unless you know what you are using it for.
I sailed thru it and do one every year. Clears my skin, my eyes are clearer brighter, my digestion steps up - it works wonders for my health overall.
I know older folks I chat up at the health food store, (I am talking 60+) that also do one every year and swear by it.
Again it is not a crash diet or reccomended for weight loss although some loss is experienced as result.
Just thought I would mention that. I hope no one considers it as one.
Oh and the croissant? 12 grams of fat and 235 calories - ZOINKS! A really good substitute would be a slice of Angelfood Cake at ZERO fat and only 125 calories! YUMMY!

Where can you buy the angel food cake, never had it?
Have ya'll tried calanetics? (spelling?) where they stick that tube up your booty for a cleansing, i've never tried it but am interested.

I think the term is colonics. I want to try that as well but never got around to it because there is so much stuff out there to try. I've tried Bikram Yoga and it is supposed to be good for weight management. I like the fact that it makes you sweat and I figure toxins are expelled in the process too.
wow
Most people would rather be certain they're miserable, than risk being happy.
Angelfood cake - You can make it from recipes online from scratch or buy a mix! You can also buy it at the bakery!!

Hi ~
I have lost over 100 pounds on the atkins diet in about 5 months. I have about 50 to go I found lo carb is a great way to lose weight quickly. I also drink a gallon of water a day it may seem alot in the beginning but start
by drinking 32oz the first couple days then move up to 64oz then work your way up to 128 oz. You will not believe how soft and silky your skin gets when you give your body enough water.

search google for HUNZA DIET BREAD. this bread is the most amazing bread that you can make at home for yourself from ingredients found at the health food store. this bread kills your appetite for about 5-7 hours after eating only one piece.
it is VERY good and is very healthy and natural for the body
this is the main food for the hunza people, who have no weight problems and live to 140 years old, no joke !!!!

if you're doing this to yourself you've got the makings of an eating disorder if you aren't a full blown anorexic/bulemic already. it's sick that you'd give this advice to someone interested in losing weight.take your multi vitamin, water pill, exlax, fast for 5-7 days, the 8th day only eat fruit, then follow by counting calories staying at 800-1000 per day, ex: three lean cuisine meals each being 300 calories.
"colonics" is a fancy way of saying ENEMA, and it doesn't do one damn thing for weight loss. it's just a wacky fad that's potentially dangerous that thieving nuts jumped on as a way to make a fast buck off of the "intelligently challenged" people...Have ya'll tried calanetics? (spelling?) where they stick that tube up your booty for a cleansing, i've never tried it but am interested.

*pay close attention to the "Reader Protest" on that site... anyone that believes that scientists have discovered that humans have a second brain located in the intestinal wall has some really serious issues.
oooo yes, there sure is a lot of stuff out there to try, and there really is a way to lose 30 lbs. in a month (even a lot less then that)... you could take a carving knife out of your kitchen drawer and just hack off some body parts. what the hell, you could be your own cosmetic surgeon and just saw off whatever parts aren't pleasing.![]()
last i checked, the Body Business part of the forums here were designed for people to share advice that is worthwhile - not dangerous, twisted and sick.

You're so readily available to criticize someone's suggestion yet not offer one of your own, nice.
last i checked, the Body Buisness part of the forums here were friendly.
I kinda do the same as Pam. I eat whatever I want whenever I want, but I'm not a damn fool. I ate a Papadeaux bowl of Supergumbo yesterday, now if I eat extra large portions at every meal on a regular basis I will get chunky quick. If I eat and excercise reasonably and indulge my cravings every now and then and otherwise eat decently my weight stays pretty static.
The real key to weight control is commonsense. Eat ONLY when U are hungry, most people do not do this. I had to teach myself how. As people on avg, we eat for hunger, but we also eat for companionship such as going out with friends and we eat when our emotions are getting pissy or something else is bothering us.
Learn the difference b/t eating to eat and eating to feed a need. If u think you are hungry, but u just ate what should have been or would normally be enought to fill you up you may just be eating for the hell of it. Go brush ur teeth and if the hunger goes away then it was just emotional hunger not physical.
Thirty lbs is a somewhat large goal in such a short period of time. Hon, it can be done but I really wouldn't recommend trying it in such a short period of time. Losing weight rapidly does ravage your body, skin and hair. First my face brokeout all over and i hadn't had a pimple in like 2 yrs, then my hair started coming out, and my always naturally long nails started snapping off constantly and my teeth started feeling weak. I was feeling shitty over relationship and school stress and I lost 20 lbs in two and a half weeks. I was slim and all, but I felt and looked like some type of addict. I cried all day and nite and was a mess and only had a snapple or small cup of 1% milk, a birth control pill and a bag of either Sunchips or white popcorn every other day. I wasn't starving myself, my depression had taken my appetite, but still I was being dumb.
When I visited a childhood friend and her mom told me that she wanted to refer me to a substance treatment program and my friends cracked the hell up and were like her and her boy broke up again. I knew that I was fucking myself up b/c her mom was truly serious and thinking that my weight loss and total look had come about from serious drug bingeing or something.
I am not going to judge you b/c I don't know ur reason for wanting to lose so much so fast, but I'm going to tell you I was only a few ounces of body fluid away from almost total dehydration. My advice to you is be careful if u choose to go forth in such a speedy manner. I don't know if there is a good or safe way to lose so much, but you will do whatever u want regardless to what other say as is ur right to do as a person. PLEASE>>>>BE VERY CAREFUL! with whatever or however u choose to lose weight.
"Come what may although I often say realities come from dreams, but approach all lies with open eyes because NOthing in this world is EVER ALL it seems."
I too would never ever recommend exlax to anyone. Not even if it was for all the reasons exlax was invented! It is a very harsh chemical that pulls water from your entire body and floods the colon, thereby "flushing" the bowel movement. Often runny this is a sign you just dehydrated your body to take that bowel movement.
Then ya know what happens? You start a viscious circle BECAUSE if you dont have enough water in your system for the next BM, your stool gets dry again and you are constipated AGAIN, endless catch 22.
You also atrophy the muscles in the colon....when you abuse laxitives, meaning they get lazy from lack of use, they wont move your waste product down the line as efficiently and as effectively as you once did. This is a whole new ball game here, enter all kinds of side effects from ineffective waste removal or stagnate waste remaining in the bowel - your liver works over time because the longer that waste remains in your system you tend to reabsorb some of the elements making your self sick - poisoning your own body. There are all kinds of damage to be attributed to laxitive abuse, one of which irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The list on side effects is endless
Plus, and a big plus - if you keep flushing food out of your body you never get a chance to absorb any of the vitamins and nutrients. Or the proteins, carbs....etc
It really is a dangerous cycle. I hope if any of you are thinking about please think again, do some research look up laxitive abuse on a search engine ask your doctor etc. Laxitive abuse - taking laxitives for anything other than the fact you are having elimination issues, even then I still dont recommend it - u can eat a bran muffin or whole bran cereal and believe it that will 'step up the march' in that dept LOL! Something.. anything... other than laxitives...please do some research on this if it even crosses your mind for longer than a nanosecond!
Happy Healthy Bodies for everybody...

I was interested in the Hunza Diet Bread and did a search. Here is what I found:
HUNZA DIET BREAD RECIPE
Hunza Diet Bread is a delicious, dense, chewy bread that's very nutritious and is almost impervious to spoilage. The following recipe makes a huge batch of approximately 60 (sixty) 2 inch squares, high in protein, vitamins and minerals.
Keeps weeks at room temperature, even longer in the fridge and indefinitely in the freezer. The recipe for this wonderful bread is as follows: -
* 4 cups of water
* 3.5 (three & one half) to 4 pounds of natural buckwheat or millet flour
* 1.5 (one & one half) cups of canola oil
* 1.5 (one & one half) cups of natural unrefined sugar
* 16 ounces of honey
* 16 ounces of molasses
* 4 ounces of powdered soya milk (half cup)
* 1 teaspoon sea salt
* 1 teaspoon cinnamon
* 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
* 2 teaspoons baking powder (non aluminium)
Hunza Diet Bread has a taste that is very satisfying and chewy all on its own, but you may also add if required, apricots, raisins, chopped walnuts, almonds, sliced dates to the above ingredients. Mix ingredients. Grease and lightly flour cooking pan(s). Ideally use baking trays with about 1 inch high sides. Pour batter in pan(s) half an inch thick over the base. Bake at about 300 degrees farenheit (150 C.) for 1 hour. After cooking, dry the bread in the oven for two (2) hours at a very low heat - 90 degrees farenheit (50 C). After it is cooled tip out and cut into approx 2 inch x 2 inch squares. Store it wrapped in cloth in a container.
You may need to repeat the baking depending on the size of your baking pan, and oven, until all the mixture has been used.
Hunza Diet Bread is made from natural buckwheat or millet flour. It is rich in phosphorous, potassium, iron, calcium, manganese and other minerals, as nothing has been destroyed in the preparation from the wheat. Thus it contains the essential nourishment of the grain. This is why you must ONLY use natural buckwheat or millet flour to make your own Hunza Diet Bread..... Good luck and good health .. bon appetite :-)
Suggestions to lose weight with HUNZA DIET BREAD:
There are many ways to do it. This is another benefit. It's flexible. Here are some typical plans. Each piece of bread is thinly spread with butter for a total of approximately 100 calories.
Plan A: Eat 1 piece every 5 hours of the 16 hours you're awake. That's 3 pieces which total 300 calories. This is the fastest way to lose weight I know of. It works faster than any high protein diet. Why? You have more energy and burn more calories. Second, the high fiber bread keeps your digestive system regular. Third, your body stays healthy. A healthy body means a properly functioning metabolic system.
Plan B: Really gorge yourself with the bread. Two pieces every four hours for a total of 8 pieces but only 800 calories. You'll feel full all day. In fact, I doubt many people could eat this much of the bread.
Plan C: Eat a piece in the morning for breakfast and a piece 3 hours before your dinner and you will eat a great deal less.
Plan D: Eat a piece of HUNZA DIET BREAD, 10 minutes before you eat your regular meal. When we do this we eat only a fraction, such as 1/4 of what we would normally eat. If we wait longer than 10 minutes we don't want to eat at all.
Plan E: Eat the bread at the end of meals that don't fill you up enough, such as low calorie meals. This is a perfect way to use the bread. You eat a low calorie meal, enjoy it, then eat a piece or two of bread to fill you up. Perfect! No suffering and no urge to snack.
Plan F: Alternate Plan A, B, C, D. We recommend an alternation of the plans, but some people who just want to get the weight off as soon as possible will use Plan A exclusively.
Disclaimer: Those aren't my suggestions. They came with the recipe.

Want to lose weight real fast without laxatives, colonics and all that other junk. Easy! Consume 1300 calories daily. Half the calories are from lean protein (chicken, fish, steak, protein powder etc) The other half of the calories will come from fats. Not sturated fats, but good fats like flaxseed oil and fish oil.
So you need 162 grams of protein and 72 grams of fat.
Eat 6 small meals that comes to 27 grams protein and 12 grams of fat per meal. That's like 1 chicken breast and a tablespoon of flax oil.
Trust me you'll lose the weight. If you want to read about the article go to www.t-mag.com and search for the term "fat fast"
i did nutrisystem and lost 30 pounds within a month 1/2 but im a bigger girl and ive read articles the bigger yo are the faster initial weight comes off right along with water weight...
