    Default Breath Fresheners

Does anyone has any suggestions on breath fresheners that last? A friend told me that he once knew a entertainer that had the best smelling breath, he said it smelt like "sweeten condensed milk"! He she definitely raked it in with this sweet breath. LOL

I cant think of anything off hand that would give a long lasting sweet smell

however aside from following good regular oral hygene, like teeth cleaning and brushing etc.

my favorite are the listerine-strips pocket packs, 24 little strips in a really small easy to stash plastic case...minty and they seem to last

I personally do not like listerine strips because I find them too strong to the point where they will make my eyes and customers eyes water, and they smell too strongly of mouthwash. I want customers to smell me, not mouthwash! As far as breath mints go, I used to use Aquafresh mints, but I think they were discontinued as they are not sold in my area anymore. Because I smoke occasionally while working, and sometimes have a coffee before work, I tried Trident White gum. I love this stuff! My mouth feels a little cleaner and smells much better after chewing a piece, especially after a cigarette or a glass of wine. After drinking red wine your teeth and tongue may be a little purplish, this gum actually helps to take the color away. Subtle smell too, this is a staple in my purse!

There's another brand of breath strips called Eclipse that aren't quite as strong as listerine ones and come in mint and cinnamon flavors. And I just saw that Altoids has come out with some too, but I haven't tried them yet.

My favorite dancer chews gum throughout the shift. Her breath is always fresh and her chewing discreet. it works for me.

For some reason I hate, hate, hate gum. I hate to see girls at work chewing gum onstage. It only really bothers me when they chew like cows with mouth open like they are grazing.
I never really thought about it, but I brush my teeth at the beginning of my shift and during my midshift wipedown. I notice that my breath smells pretty much the same, but I drink a lot of water with cherries during my shift so maybe the cherries do it for me.

I agree that the listerine strips are strong..tho im used to them now, but im happy to hear about the milder strips coming out and I will take a look for them...thanks

Part of the reason I like the strips is that I don't like seeing gum munchers either...and the strips are convenient to use and carry...but I also wonder if Divyne is onto something with that cherries in a glass of water...hmmmm

I chew gum my whole shift, and I am very careful of not looking like the cow out in the field.....LOL
I Love the Eclipse gum, small pieces, and I tuck it down by my gums, and chew a few times when I need too. I am so use to it, I don't even think about it any more....I can't work with out it...I carried mints with me for a long time, and I like that the Eclipse gum lasts a long time... I go through say 3 pieces a shift, and I always feel comfortable getting up close and personal...Licks Cyn

I just use mouthwash several times throughout the night, I dilute it (2 parts mouthwash, 1 part water) so it's not too strong. I have braces so this is a MUST for me! I also use Breathsavers in the wintergreen flavor. I absolutely love these, not too strong.

I use the Trident White....The biggest compliments I get all night is how pretty my teeth are and how good I smell (my hair usually smells really good and makes me alot)
I've tried a few flavors and prefer the wintergreen, it tastes like toothpaste.

I HATE when girls chew on stage too. I only chew gum on the way to work and sometimes in the dressing room, but I also don't drink, and don't smoke and I don't eat before work (the motion makes me sick If I eat les than an hour or so before work, I have a really weak stomach) so I don't have the problems some of you have with smells.

We are forbidden from chewing gum at work (which is fine with me because I think it looks tacky). But a a good breath neutralizer is an apple, believe it or not!

Alcohol dries you mouth out and can cause bad breath.Mouth wash has alcohol and but works well temporarely. Dont eat onions, garlic, tuna, fish, before working. Even if you brush your teeth smell still comes out of your pores and up yourstomach (to you mouth).Tons of water, good dental care/brushing. A bad tooth will cause bacteria and odor. Some people have a medical condition that causes bad breath

If you do have onion breath, chew on some parsley, it gets rid of the odor. I floss, brush, use a tongue scraper, then rinse with the new Crest mouthwash. Works well with out the sting of alcohol like Listerine. You'd be surprised how much of a difference a tongue scraper makes. I've been using it for 4 years and I've never been insecure about my breath.

Bring your toothbrush with you to work. Also, a half & half solution of hydrogen peroxide and water will clean up your mouth, just don't swallow it.
