Default I need job but my weight is pretty bad

    Hi!
I stopped dancing (bikini) for a while but I'm going need a job in like a week or two because my BF and I just received an eviction notice days ago, sadly enough.

My weight is horrible! I'm 5'3 and 145 pounds! (Gross out time-) I have a lower belly popping out, I have fat on my hips popping out, and I have fat on my thighs popping out and it's making my ass and thighs look wide and un-toned. I still have a waist so I have shape but very chubby. 40DD/30/38.

I have a good face and I have big implants, but with this weight, I hope I won't have problems getting an audition.

You see, I'm not going to look for work in middle of the road clubs- I'm hoping I can find work in the more lowerclass bars. You know the bars I'm talking about.
The lowest tier bars you can think of. Kind of like some of the bars you may find in Patterson, NJ. (I don't do extras- although that's probably what I'll see there)

However, even the lowest tier bars have ok looking females working the bartop or stage.

I need a job in the coming days since my boyfriend is telling me that "I better find somewhere else to live"

Do you think I will have problems finding work (bikini clubs) in the shape i am EVEN in the lower-class bars?

Should I not bother with middle-road bikini sports bars for sake of embarrassment?

I'd rather not work doing anything else right now, (ie hooters or barmaids, greeters, ect.)
(In the meantime I'm trying to loose quickly, cardio, cal deficit, + tanning.)

Has anyone here ever been in this situation where they had to dance while fat?

If you need to drop fat real quick you could do a diet called "the fat fast". This will strip some serious weight off of you while preserving your muscle mass. Here's how it works.

You take in 1300 hundred calories a day 650 from protein th other 650 from fat. Not fat like fried foods and junk. You must used cold pressed flaxseed oil )a good fat filled with omega 3's you can get at any healthfood store)

So in a day you need to eat 162grams of protein and 72 grams of fat. Absolutely no carbs. Divide the calories over 6 small meals so that each meal is 24grams of protein and 12 grams of fat. So as an example a chicken breast is about 24 grams of protein, and 2 tablespoons of flaxseed oil is about 14 grms of fat (not sure, check the label). That would be one meal. A zero carb protein shake and two tablespoons of flax mixed in could be another meal etc. Do this diet for two weeks and you'll probably drop about 15-20 pounds. Drink a gallon of water a day, matter of fact drink only water. Once you get your weight down reintroduce carbs at 20 grams a day and increase by 20 grams every third day until you reach a 100 gram total. This will help you maintain a healthy weight while also giving your body some sugars to synthesize glycogen.
    Hope this helps

Hey outerspace! I think you should be hired just fine at the lower tied clubs, even at better clubs. If you have big boobs you can manage a bigger booty! Lot's of guys appreciate an hourglass figure.
I dont know how picky they are in NJ though! Good luck!

Outerspace, you're most likely going to be faced with a major dilemma. Competition among the better earning clubs in North Jersey is intense enough that it pretty much guarantees you won't get hired or even get an audition in a first tier club at your present weight.

You can definitely get hired in a minute at a lower tier nude across the NY state line though (like T&A's), which could result in decent earnings as long as you are down with the mileage requirement. You can also definitely get hired in a minute at lower tier clubs in the Paterson area (like Doctor's Cave). However, in Paterson the mileage requirements will be almost as high and the earnings potential will be much much lower.

I don't mean to discourage you at all, only to encourage you to drop at least 20 lbs ASAP. At 38DD-24-36 you could walk into Lace in Wayne, NJ, be hired on the spot and rake in bucks doing bikini private dances for upscale customers with next to no contact. But at 40DD-30-38 you won't even get an audition. In the northeast first tier clubs, at least 1/3 of dancers have implants so DD cups are not considered unusually large, or a sufficient reason to overlook obvious problems in other areas of a dancer's body.

I don't mean to be critical, but I would start doing tummy crunches morning and night and stick to a 1300 calorie diet religiously. You're much better off devoting maximum effort to getting in shape this month so that you can work in an upscale club next month. If you start dancing in a lower tier club right now instead, you won't be able to diet, you'll be trapped in a lower tier club, you'll be expected to deliver high mileage or your earnings will be terrible etc. As a result, two months from now you'll actually have earned less total money dancing for two months in a lower tier club than you will if you spent the first month getting in shape and the second month dancing in a better club!

Don't forget however....Get a job at any club that takes you, if you want to work now. And dance your way to weight loss, and toning. All while making money at the same time!!! PS sweety....Dancing is one of the best forms of losing weight! Small pole tricks will tone. As will squating moves on the job, with a little floor work.
    Lotsa luck, Pamela

Well, you know, there's plenty of clubs in Puerto Rico where you don't have to be trim and fit in order to land a job, but since you only want to dance, well, I don't recommend them . So, yes, do lose a LOT of weight and pray that you'll land a job soon. Good luck.

    Hey girl,

I agree w/ Pamela; start dancing your way to a slimmer body.

BTW, I worked at a nice bikini bar in Northern Calif. There was a girl there who by model standards was a good thirty lbs overweight. However, it was mostly in her lower body and tummy and she was firm, no cellulite.

She had a face like Naomi Campbell and nice big full natural breasts. She always wore knee length or long, tight dresses and rarely took her dress completely off. She would do floor dancing mainly and just use her face and breasts.

This girl banked!! She had a great personality also. I am a petite sized dancer and if my energy was low, she would surpass me earnings wise.

My point: It takes all kinds. Concentrate on your most attractive attributes while working on the stuff that needs work.

    Good luck!

    Cheers,

    Corey

Try Hi-Beams in Paterson. You will make decent money on weekends even if you don't do extras. I've also heard the Palace is good money. Be careful, though, extras are the norm, and keep in mind after a brief honeymoon period you won't make anything if you aren't doing the "after party". These aren't places you would want to stay very long, but you can make rent then move on.

    Good Luck

Thank you so much for all your replies.

So far I've lost 5 pounds (I'm 5'3/140lbs now, was 145) by keeping those calories down to about 1000-increasing protein and the only carbs i take is 1 or 2 slices of whole wheat bread, celery, and green lettuce.

I have *small* intakes of tuna like 5 times a day.

Tuna, mixed with 1 tsp of olive oil, balsamic vinigar and
    1 chopped celery mixed in.

(Can you believe i have a treadmill at my house and I'm fat!) ugh-

I have been walking everyday 2 hours a day at different times on the 3.5 setting since I posted this.

In the past I have tried Atkins, however that plan didn't quite work for me even though i was getting adequate amounts of fat and protien-i could not keep up that way of eating.

I've tried Weight Watchers before, and the point system is a good system to keep track of portion sizes. I try to combind both Atkins and WW plans together.

I may be taking in too little calories right now, but it seems like I need a few days to not intake 'so much' as to get my stomach used to not eating big portions!!

I haven't done any sit ups because I'd like to get a little more fat off my lower stomach from cardio before I work any muscle groups.(is that right?)

One thing I'm concerned about is how I can burn mostly fat and not muscle without being in ketosis. Is there a formula of protien/fat/carb grams that you should have with every meal to insure yourself you'll burn more fat than muscle? I know there is always muscle being burned but if you walk on the treadmill for an hour straight, could you be burning more muscle than you would if you walked in short spurts of 30 minutes?

    Thanks again!

Congrats outerspace....it sounds like you are doing fantastic!!!!
Any exercise is great, but to maximize your effects, I would suggest two smaller spurts of 30 minutes because you will be able to put more effort into each of the workouts. In order to achieve a cardiovascular benefit, I have read that you need to exercise for a minimum of 30 min at a ttime, so you should do fine. Also, so it doesn't get boring for you on the treadmill and for a better workout, try increasing either the speed or incline of the machine for short one-minute intervals. This is called interval training. For example, walk four minutes at your normal pace (3.5 wasn't?) and walk every fifth minute at 4.5. This really helps a lot with fat burning. I do this type of workout often, and the great thing is that it applies to all machines: treadmill, Stairmaster, rowing, elliptical trainers, etc.
Good luck girl!....and don't worry, you can start sit-ups soon because it will still tone the underlying muscles, even if you do not have the visual effects just yet.

Outerspace---Being that you want to retain muscle and lose fat I'm going to suggest something called HIIT Sprints. HIIT is high intensity interval training. Basically what you'd do is you alternate a 30 second jog with a 30 second sprint. You can do this by running, or on a elliptical trainer or treadmill. You'll alternate the jog/sprints 10 times to start, so your session will be 10 minutes. Try to work up to doing 20 minutes. This will burn more fat than doing 30-60 minutes on a treadmill ever will. The best part is it is short an dintense which will preserve muscle. Long cardio sessions tend to start to burn muscle proteins after 30-40 minutes.

    Good Luck

    Thanks to all-

For all the suggestions and nice motivational thoughts written to me.

So far, I've been toning up fairly quick because I'm not binging each time I get drama from the BF.

The first ten pounds came off in a few days! Boy do i feel better.
    Cheers!

Glad to hear you are doing well so far. The others have given some pretty constructive pieces of advice. Two quick things also I learned in the Maxim's lazy mans workout tips. Take stairs two at a time (I know you are short so this might not work) but that extra strain quadruples the leg work out you get. And ALWAYS take the stairs over an elevator. Usually quicker and you'd be suprised how it adds up, especially if you are in NYC.

On your other problem (eviction notice) I can try and help you out. I deal with a lot of Landlord tenant in Georgia, and may be of some assistance (I actually have a friend who is a dancer at the Pink Pony in Atlanta who I am helping out with a case right now).
But rest assured that this is usually a lengthy process that you can extand a little with 'lawyer tricks'.

    Good luck.
