Default Warts ( i know... kinda gross...)

This is kinda an embarressing topic, but I'm hoping someone knows what to do...
I have like three warts right on the front of my pubic area... they would be hidden by hair if I had any... I went to the doctor and she gave me a prescription that hopefully will make them leave, but it's been a week and they're not gone yet...the doctor said it could take up to four weeks and if they're not gone, to come back again. Four weeks???? They're kinda just like smooth bumps on my skin, and i've tried using makeup to cover them, but you can still make them out. I'm planning on auditioning for a club and I don't know if with the dim lights, you'd even be able to tell, but I don't want to miss out on the job because of them. Should I wait until they're gone? I kinda need $ and have always wanted to dance... figures, just when I go to start, this happens. I've never had them before, has anybody here? What did u do? Is there anything else I can do to get rid of them or at least conceal them really good?

What about applying a wart cream every night before bed? They sell it in cream now, or an oil base.
Or garlic oil is great! But you can't beat buying a garlig bulb at the grocery store, cutting a small piece off and squeezing the garlic juice right on the wart. All of this may speed up the process! Garlic is ge-reat antiviral, antibiotic for starters. Warts are viral.
Some have used plain old Elmers Glue as well, not sure about that one. Another option is to have them freezed/burned off. I have seen after the procedure, for a few days a little red spot, scabbed over...Gone!

They do take time to get rid of, and a pain in the ass, in the mean time can you apply a skin tone thick cover stick? Or wear a thong that covers them? IF they are right in front of the pubic area they should be fine to hide with small sexy panties! Or grow a little hair. (I know that sucks). But there may be a few ways to get around it for now.
Best bet while doing your treatments...Ask at the pharmacy, or cosmetics counter what may be best to cover warts while they are going away. Problem is like you said they stick out, try little thongs or a g-string for now if you are not all nude. Also if you can have a few small tattoos, but some temp. ones in the same type, and cover them with a tattoo!
    Good luck, Pamela

yea, if you're not all nude, go with some ruffled panties/boooty shorts... cute and flirty and the bumps won't be visible through thin material. i've never been through this b4, though i'v gotten the occasional pimple on my butt.

    Good Luck.

You know that they're contagious right? They're caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV).

You can get some good simple info here and here.

have you considered getting them frozen off by a dermatologist? i had a wart on my knee once and had it frozen off. took five minutes, and didn't hurt at all, though the liquid nitrogen looked kinda scary.

Are you going to a dermatologist for this? Remember, not all doctors know what they're doing...not all are up-to-date on what to use, etc...
Like others, go get them freezed off by a dermatologist. Look up in the yellow pages section, under "physicians.."..dermatologist speciality. Preferably a "cosmetic dermatologist"...they'll probably know very well how to deal with appearance issues (instead of just the usual eczema, skin rashes, etc cases). I doubt any cream will really do the trick...i've always known that the only way to remove warts is by a cutting procedure...cut them off, or use liquid nitrogen to freeze them off. And don't try cutting it by yourself, either! bad idea!
Have you always had those warts/moles? Or are they a recent occurence? If so, it could be possible that you have HPV...like someone else suggested.
Hope it works out. Keep us updated!

    "Warts: Duct Tape

You already know it's a wonder product, essential for the maintenance of everyday life. But did you know it's a health aid? Yes, it's official: Duct tape may help rid you of common warts.

Tape, not necessarily of the duct variety, has long been a home remedy for wart removal. But in 2002, doctors writing in the Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine reported that study participants who diligently covered common warts with duct tape achieved significantly better results than those who were treated with cryotherapy, more commonly known as having your wart frozen off.

In the small study, which involved about 50 patients, half of the participants used pieces of duct tape cut just large enough to cover their warts. They left the tape in place for six days and replaced it quickly if it fell off. At the end of the sixth day, they removed the tape, soaked the wart in water and then rubbed at it with an emery board or pumice stone. They left the tape off overnight, and then applied a new patch for another six days.

The group repeated the process for two months, or less time if the wart disappeared faster. At the end of the study, 85 percent of the duct tape users had banished their warts, while only 60 percent of the cryotherapy patients had completely gotten rid of theirs.

Will another type of tape work? Maybe, but only duct tape has been vetted by clinical trial."

that is too funny! the home remedy thing (I really doubt that'd work...but I guess it depends on what kind of wart it is), and the fact that I totally forgot to read what the date on that article was! I need to be more careful...i read those "related posts" that are at the bottom of the page as well... I was on cloud 9 or something when I responded to that old post. How embarassing!

LOL, that's ok. It's kinda funny. She's either figured it out by now or totally covered in warts like a toad!
