I don't think that thing is very accurate. If it is I don't like it. lol I don't consider myself a fatass by any means but by those standards I am.

Those tests do not take into account those who put in any time at a gym weighlifting. Muscle weighs more than fat, and weight calcualtions like that often give one a skewed view of what their "ideal" weight should be. According to my height I have been obese on every one of those weight calculators I have ever taken, even at the docs office. My doc simply said if u lift it does not apply to you at all. Take into consideration not your numerical weight, but how u look in the mirror and how ur clothes fit you.

I completely second Divyne's statement. I take the calculation of thinness vs. obesity based on the a ratio between height and weight (or whatever other random variable) with a grain of salt. I have been told by doctors on numerous occassions that I should add 20 pounds onto what I am "supposed" to weigh because I have a lot of muscle mass. People's bodies are so unique in comparative to each other. I am a size 5/6, and if you take 10 other women with the same clothing size and place us in a line...you would be surprised by the diversity. Yet somehow, we should all weigh the same. Absolute bullshit.

Divyne - HOW TRUE! I ignore all that weight vs overweight stuff...muscle weighs more! I was chatting with a friend who is a little on the soggy side and we were about the same height and she was much fleshier....still looked great but you know the body type I mean? Anyway she says she weighs ---- and in my head I am thinking WHAT?????????????????
I easily had ten more pounds on her then! How could that be?
I have a flat tummy, smaller butt (now not a small but just small-ER hahaha! I have been told I have ghetto-booty) and all the way around more trim....but my ex reminded me when bemoaned the issue - muscle simply weighs more, so a gal can ignore that number on the scale as long as she's fit and muscular...never mind the couple pounds of boobs, hehheh.

Anyway I have to keep reminding myself I cant compare to others, it simply is not an accurate system. Period.

for the freakin- love o' pete. when given my height, weight, and activity level, that first site said i needed to consume damn near 4,000 calories a day to maintain my current weight. ok i am 5'5", 125, and except for about 40mins 5 times a week at the gym, i lead a completly sedentary lifestyle(on my butt 23/7). so now i have full license to just pig out! woo hoo

it told me i was in the lower 10 lbs of healthy for my height... etc. but i think that thing is bs for another reason... when i used to be in high school i wieghed more due to sports... but looked much leaner.. and by the scales' standards would have been overfat. another peeve about that bugged me bout that site is the low percentage of protein they wanted u to ingest and the high percentage of carbs. i dont drink soda, never eat typical carbs such as potatos, pastas, or chips... etc, and if anything the only scources in my diet are fruits and veggies (which i eat plenty of), but not enough to say that i 40 percent of my diet consists of it, or 245 grams... whichever way u look. like all of u said above... every body is very different... and i just find these things frustrating.

this says i'm a major lightweight....but don't think so. Don't know what elbow circ. has to do with frame, considering body builders can have popeye elbows and a big ass frame. Not sure if this is really fun....LOL

:o That thing says I've overweight. OMG, my boyfriend just yesterday said I'm starting to look way too skinny. I entered my info from before I started going to the gym, and I was right on.....I'm calling a big BS on that. I WAS a chunky monkey, I'm not now, and it's saying I am now, and I wasn't then??

Lovely. It told me I'm a "pear shape." I am, but I didn't need to be told that...

Allegedly I am too. I actually went and checked this thing out tonite, b/c when I first saw it posted I already knew what it would say. How right I was. I thought if my chest was fairly large, and my waist was at least ten inches smaller than my chest, and if my hips are larger than my waist but not as big as my chest I looked like an hourglass. Maybe they meant................... an upside down pear.

LoL... the damn thing told me I was overweight, overfat, and my BMI was out of range. I didn't put in any calorie information or anything and it put some in for me! I think it's all a lie!

Hey, I can't complain. I'm at my "perfect" size and weight according to this and I could still stand to lose a few more pounds, lol!

It says I'm right on target for my height...I'm 5'3, and weigh a very solid 130 lbs. I'm always stressing on my weight(I feel fat), but I have to remind myself that muscle weighs more than fat. I'm tone, but I like to weigh 115 lbs, but after having my second baby last Dec., by body just refuses to let me be a tiny little thing anymore. I t always trips me out when men compliment my body. I WANNA BE TINY!! WAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! Scoot over, Rose, I need Cheetos, too. LoL
