    Default Permanent cosmetics

Has anyone had any type of permanent cosmetics done or know anyone that has?

I've often thought of how nice it would be to not have my eyeliner running all over my face, and not have to apply/remove/apply/remove etc. etc... I'm also wondering about camouflage for white scars.

    Thanks in advance!

    Love and Hugs

I have only read about it mainly. We have a plastic surgeon at the hospital who is a very nice woman. (she gave some pamplets out). She also said something that will always stick in my head.
Since makeup and styles are forever changing, never get permanent eyeliner, eyebrows, or lips, in darker colours.
If you are brunette, and decide to go blonde the colours will be to harsh on your face, for example. Great advice i thought.

True; that's a good point, Pamela. I had actually thought about that, and I should have clarified...I am thinking about a really subtle upper eyelash enhancement to fill in in between the lashes. I am sure I wouldn't want to have just a thick, obvious line of eyeliner on forever, that's for sure. Just enough to not have to put it on.

    Thanks! Big hugs...

Had permanent lip liner put on. Love it. It's a natural peachy-pink color. Going to get my full mouth done soon. I would recommend only natural shades. They match whatever color lip liner you bring in. It does hurt. It bleeds a bit, scabs up, scab falls within 7-10 days to reveal the color. Very pretty.

Had lash enhancement done, which makes your lash line look more prominent. It's not as noticeable as eye liner. If you get eye liner I would recommend just doing you upper lid done. They'll do black, brown, whatever color you want.

Yes, I have had eyeliner and lash enhancement done. I had the top of the lid 3/4 lined with a soft brown and the bottom lid was lash enhancement. I love not having to worry about eyeliner.

I'm not sure what you wanted to know about it-um...I've had it for a couple of years now and it has stayed very well. Although at some point it will need to be retouched-just like a tatoo, it can eventually start to fade a bit. I went for a softer look since it is permanent and I'm far from glamorous all the time *g*

Pain wise-they use a topical so it was very minimal. I also had minimal swelling and actually could have worked that night (I had taken the night off, and still recommend you do so) if anything for safety.

Any other questions, let me know Hope this helped some.

My great-aunt has had a it of it done.

The thing I would think most should be considered is how you think it is going to look on you when you are 40, 50, 60, etc... In other words, will it still look attractive on you as your skin tone, coloration, and definition changes through the years? Just like a tattoo on any other part of the body, if there are any major changes in the area tattooed, it can alter the appearance of the tattoo-work. (This is why it isn't a great idea to get certain tattoos if you expect to gain or lose any substantial amount of weight).

This is not to discourage you at all, but rather to bring up something not many people consider. A tattoo of any variety is pretty permanent (and laser removal frequently leaves scarring). So be thoroughly informed, and think long and hard on it first, so that you know you won't regret it down the road.

Best of luck to you. Let us know how you like it if you get it done!

    Hi Megan,
Besides being an endermologie therapist, I am also a dermopigmentation(medical term for permanent make-up) for 13 years. I think that it is a great idea to do it but you have to be sure that the technician is very skilled. I have seen a lot of horrible things (even in doctor's office) . Until now, I never had any complaint but only very satisfied customers. I even received refferals from doctor Richard Ellenbogen (plastic surgeon in Beverly hills). If you want more info please contact me at [email protected].
    Best regards,
    Diane.

I had permanent eye-liner done. It's wonderful! I love waking up feeling more beautiful and not having to worry about my eye liner smearing all over! It's roughly $400 for both lids, but it's well worth it. It lasts from 2-10 years. I've had mine for 2 years so far, and it's still looking good.

My mom also had her eyes and lips lined, and she has her lips filled. I really want to get my lips done, but she said it hurt a LOT. That...and I always change my lip color, so it might not work out for me

Anyways, permanent cosmetics are well worth it!!!
