    Default Crest Whitestrips...

Okay, for those interested, I am trying Crest Whitestrips tonight for the first time.

I bought them at Wal-Mart, they were like $25.00. The box says that if I am not satisifed with the results I can get my money back.....we'll see. The directions say to put one strip on top, and one strip on the bottom for 1/2 hour twice a day. Well, since I am starting so late at night I am doing it back to back for a solid hour. My fiance will be visiting on March 13, so I have about 2 weeks to see results.

I took a pic of my teeth before and I will take one in another 2 weeks.

So far, my tongue is burning....thats about it.

    I'll let ya know!

    Hey "Miss",

I have used them two or three times and recently I got the professional strength crest strips on Ebay for $35. They were $70 on drugstore.com. You can't buy them in drug stores.

They worked well. My problem is that they don't work on porcelain. My five upper front teeth are porcelain,so they don't take as well as the rest of my natural teeth.

You will see at least a slight difference, if not that, then more.

    Good Luck,

    Cheers,

    Corey

Once at my sis's house I tried those things. Put 'em on, sat down to watch some tv... Fell asleep.... When I woke up about an hour later my lips were fat and swollen. I wasn't mad, it actually looked good, like some fresh collagen injections lol! Point is, be careful about leaving 'em on too long cause you could have an allergic reaction like I did!

MissB, i don't know...i tried them off and on for about 2 weeks. My tongue started to feel fat. Lol. I can't handle them at all. What the hell is in them? They did not work after 2 weeks for me though. I stopped. I guess my dentist will have to bleach them for me.

I didn't think the WhiteStrips were very effective for whitening.
I really like the White bleaching kit available at Sally Beauty Supply. It it a custom tray and gel system. The results I had with this kit were great. It's often on sale for $29. You can also buy replacement tubes of gel so that if you want to whiten again, you don't have to buy the whole kit over again.

I would wear the trays daily, as long as you don't have a problem with sensitivity, until the gel is gone. I don't remember exactly how many application is in each tube, but my guess is around fourteen or fifteen. The kit comes with two tubes (actually syringes) of gel, one for the top teeth and one for the bottom.
I used the kit about four or five months ago and haven't needed to rewhiten yet. I'll probably do it again before summer, seeing as how I have a NASTY coffee habit. Anyway, the refill syringes are only like $12, so it's a great deal.

I know this is an old thread, but does any one else have any suggestions for good at-home kits. I'd like to try one, but I don't even know where to start. My teeth are pretty white, but I would like to lighten them about 2 shades.

Whitestrips work really well for me...very noticeable difference, probably because my teeth are naturally pretty white but get stained from smokes and coffee

    Feature costumes for sale!

i agree the white strips worked wonders on me...altho if that stuff touches my gums they'll get really sensitive there for about a day. most of my friends and family noticed after about 3 days. my bro had nasty yellow teeth after he got his braces off and even after he had only used the strips a few times you could already start to see a difference.

they also have the premium ones that whiten in 7 days now by crest. i'm a little scared...if the reg ones hurt my gums...what would these do?
