    Default Short Hair

    Hola!

I was wondering how many of you out there had short hair? I've had mine short for ages now because it being long is so not flattering to my face. Right now, it's just kinda long on top and I sort of muss it all around a little. I'm not exactly happy with it, I wanted Sharon Osbourne hair damnit!

Anyway, it's currently in a miserable strage of growing out a formerly burgundy/red color. It's almost orangish. So I wanna color it again, but I need an opinion or two. I was thinking of bleaching it, again, and putting red highlights in. Or, just going with a nice, warm brown.

I dunno, I'm really not happy with my hair, can I strip in a beat up straw cowboy hat?

The shortest mine's been has been about chin length and honestly it did not hurt my money in the least - which I was pleasantly surprised by. I think if you're going to go short, stick with a pretty conservative color scheme. Mainly it depends on the overall effect - some girls can't pull off short hair no matter what, and some are just hot as hell.

As far as the cowboy hat - just make sure the rest of your outfit's cowboy too. I used to work with a gal who would wear her hat with every damn thing, including sequined outfits, and it looked silly.

Oh, and if short hair doesn't work for you, nothing could be easier than buying a fall or a wig.

    LOl Smurf hun,
go blonde hun, go blonde. I had to say that being blonde, and you mentioned the colour.
Blonde does look good on short hair, as does a rich chestnut brown.
IF you can, pull of a beautiful platinum blonde! YEA!

Thanks girls. I think I'm gonna lean toward the brown. There's a good chance with all the abuse my poor hair has been through, that one more bleach might be the end. *laughs* No amount of yummy ABBA conditioners would save that.

I've been a bottle blond for ages. I'm a blah dirty blond naturally. I hate it, other people envy it. Typical uh?

I think the brown will make a look a tad more "mature" in a "respect me damnit" while still keeping me young in a "you wish, doncha" kind of way. *sigh* Looking super young has its ups and downs....

As before look you best. Go to one of the better saloons if you can afford it and have them shape and color your hair. If you can't afford it before you dance do after you get some money.

Don't take this as an insult, but I don't think that you look super young. You might have a youthful attitude or presence, but when I looked at you pictures in the gallery, you didn't really look young at all to me. Not that this is a bad thing. I think that you can pull in a larger audience if you appear to be in your early or mid twenties anyway, as opposed to the barely legal look.
As for your hair, I would keep it in the brown tones. With your coloring, you can pull it off well. Plus, gentlemen prefer BRUNETTES anyway. I would take a hair supplement like silica to keep it growing. Then go to a VERY good stylist for your cut. Short hair can be alot trickier than long hair to cut and you want quality work done. Also, I would try using Joico's K-Pak to help to reconstruct your hair, as opposed to ABBA. I think you will find your hair to be more moisturised and less brittle as time goes on. Joico is about the same price as ABBA anyway.
Good luck! I think you will do well, short hair or long. You have exactly the look that is really popular in clubs these days.

After seeing your picture, I would leave it brown, or add chunky red highlights. Redness would contribute to your overall pixie look. But then, I think you'd look awesome with blue hair too... tho that probably wouldn't go over as well...

I have extreamly short hair also, the woman messed up my hair and now I feel I kinda look like a boy. I was wondering how I can fix this mess to help me look a little more girly? I am very tiny and have a small face so long hair doesn't look real great on me. I also look very very young. I am 21 but its a pain in the ass looking this young sometimes because at bars or when purchasing alchol they think my ID is fake. UGH!! So I am wondering how to pull of something like Halle Barry and look good and still make money. I'm not much on wigs or hats but any help would be great!!
P.S. Smurf I think dancing with a cowboy hat and a whole "cowboy" get up would be a great change of pace from the way a lot of girls dance. Good Luck!

Oh, I'm not offended. I'd much rather not get carded at R rated movies. If you saw me in person it's a different story. My boss last winter asked if my mom was home to sign my horse's lease papers, she thought I was 16. Wish I could find the "GAP bitch smurfy" pictures, those are priceless.

Anyway, I'm definately leaning towards a nice, warm brown. I think it'll look better. I intentionally tried to kill the red/burgundy I had planning to bleach it and never got around to it, whoops.

I used to use K-pak but haven't found it anywhere locally. Love the stuff though, smells sooo good. I had a regimine of that and Bed Head's "Ego Boost." I absolutely adore Redken's AllSoft. Good stuff. *laughs* I applied at the local beauty supply store, think I can get the job?!

As far as the cut goes, everyone seems to like it but me. I have *really* thick hair so I can't pull off the stuff I wanna do. I need to get back to my old stylist, but she kind of gets outta control. And I've always tipped her exceptionally well, and I feel weird/bad I can't do that right now.

Bah! Hair is totally my one vanity. I don't care who else likes it! It's getting fixed damnit!

Three words: Redken Water Wax. It's like a pomade only waaaay better. Gives you nice, shiny, parted out definition. Play around with it, see how you like it. Tis helluva expensive, $13 for less than 2 oz, but it does last, and it's wonderful. I used to mix it with De:fi, the blue lid one that smells like pineapples.

Strippers with short hair are very sexy. I use to make more money the shorter my hair was. Some men have a fetish with short hair.
