    Default Wigs?

Okay, after hearing the big debate about whether guys prefer blondes or brunettes or whatever, I think I am going to buy a blonde wig and see if I get more attention. The thing is, I have never worn a wig before, and my hair is kind of long (it goes down to about the top third of my back). I read somewhere on here about a girl who wore a wig on stage, and it flew off her head and did a 360 in the air, eventually landing by a customer's feet! :o Please, any tips to avoid this are greatly appreciated!!

The thing aobut wigs is cut and quality. A cheap wig usually looks like a cheap wig. Go for a cut and color that flatter your face, the same way you would with a real haircut. Find one that looks good on and feels good to the touch to you as well. I've found that human hair tends to look the best, but a few synthetic ones are also nice, only their use is limites since most synthetics can only be worn in the style in which they come.
A wig that is too stiff or too poised will not make you look your best. One that moves along with the hairstyle, has body and flexibility is your best bet. There are several wig catalogs and companies out there, just search the internet or a local beauty supply store.
Now for keeping them on. Some people with long hair twist their hair up and pin their natural hair up under and put the wig on over this. Most girls wear the little stocking cap things to keep their hair down, and place the wig over this. Some also use pins to secure the wig at key places such as the sides or back of the head. Wigs do come in sizes, and a wig that is sized properly usually will not come off with everyday use.
Everyday use is NOT swinging upside down on poles so pins might help, but I have seen girls give great performances in wigs and do pole tricks and everything else without them coming off. After you buy, dance around and shake around and see if you need to pin or not.
